Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The food at this fish and chip restaurant is exceptional. There is a wide varied menu, with light options. All food is cooked to order and as the mission statement on the wall says “We don’t serve fast food. We serve good food as fast...as we can”. We travel a round trip of 120 miles every week from Oldham, so if that doesn’t tell you something about this food, then you’re not listening! The staff are really friendly and helpful, and the tables and chairs are wiped after each customers departure. Just give a try next time you’re in Blackpool. (It’s a better and cheaper visit than the Tower.)More

We were on a day trip to Blackpool and fancied fish & chips. A quick check on Trip Advisor showed Yorkshire Fisheries had great reviews. As a Grimsby girl, used to the best fish and chips I have to say our haddock, chips and peas...were excellent. Very pleased with our choice of venue - great food, friendly staff and good music. Thank you 😊More

One of the delicious fish and chips I ate in a while. The service was great, staff were friendly and we loved the food. The best is that you can order different quantities of fish and chips and not worry about calories.

We trusted the 5 star rating on TripAdvisor when we were looking for a late fish and chip lunch in Blackpool on 27/11/23. Walking through the door on a bitterly cold day, we were enveloped in a warm welcome and friendly words from every member...of the team. The venue was scrupulously clean, the food was freshly cooked and delicious, and the tea was piping hot. A proper, Blackpool fish'n'chip eatery!More

The, in my opinion anyway, best fish an chips in Blackpool. Great efficient service and a good choice for all appetites. Comfortable enough for a fish supper and well situated in the city centre by the station

Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch here- I only wish we hadn't been rushing to catch a train. We were recommended the place by MacMaster from youtube. Super friendly, perfectly clean and food piping hot. I don't know what's not to love! The staff seemed really happy...here- and happy to see you-which I love to see- and it's becoming rare! I had a light bite cod and chips (which was superb value and I think adequate size for many adults, not just those with smaller appetites- I would regard my appetite as fairly average an I didn't finish it,) My boyfriend had a savaloy and a battered sausage with chips! Food was really tasty. Also had a curry sauce, bottle of coke and can of pepsi. I think it was £23 altogether. No complaints, will definitely return.More

Excellent fish and chips, had the cod and chips at £9.99. Very clean and great service. Very close to Blackpool North train station, about 3 minutes walk. This is a traditional fish and chip establishment .

We chose this place because of all the good reviews, but I was kind of disappointed. I don't know if it was just a bad day, but I really didn't enjoy the fish and chips there. It was edible, but I had great fish and...chips in other places before...More

This is THE BEST fish and chip restaurant in Europe, never mind the UK ! I have been coming here for 30 years and dine here 3 times a week. The standard since the new owners took over a few years ago cannot be higher....Excellent food and excellent friendly service from Maria and her staff. I cannot tell you how I have missed this place this week due to them being closed for a week for a well earned holiday. Yorkshire fisheries .....Simply the best !!! 🐟 🐟More

We were on an overnight trip to Blackpool so as decreed mandatory fish and chips were called for. Having done some research we called in at Yorkshire fisheries in Topping street. That was a brilliant choice good fresh fish and chips with tea and bread...and butter. The food was tasty and well presented with ample portions in a friendly manner. If in Blackpool and you want somewhere good to eat don't mess about go there for a warm cheery welcome and lovely grub. Can t recommend enough.More
