Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

We went on a family birthday as a party of five and waited a short while for a table but the wait was worth it as the food was excellent and plentyful. I had tha Sapori beef pie and would reccomend it to anyone with a hearty appetite.
The only slight downside was the high price of drinks but I suppose all restaurants are a bit pricy in that area.
We would go again.

Went here after seeing the Sound of Music. Recommended by a local taxi driver. On a rain soaked February night we were made very welcome By the staff. The three of us all had steaks which were absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. The mussels to start with were also excellent. Definitely see you on our next Blackpool trip 👍

The owners of the restaurant despite social distancing rules and limited seating are still giving 100% service and the food service is excellent, with two menus you can choose from, main menu or early bird menu, you will have plenty of meals to choose from. Worth a visit when you in Blackpool and you will be definitely happy you went. We only go here for a meal when in Blackpool. Very friendly owners who take pride in the restaurant.

Nothing much to add really as we didn't stay to eat, only looked at the badly presented, plain looking food coming out and felt the ZERO atmosphere.
We were seated by the scruffy rude manager (who's clothes were unclean) that didn't offer much hope for the rest of the place!
Made two simple requests and were spoken to in a rude and insulting manner. The only plus was we had the perfect reason to leave. Very odd way to run a restaurant - surprised its still open - don't bother

Why the question mark
Well we have not eaten in every Italian restaurant in Blackpool but
Sapori provided us with an excellent meal for our party on a Monday night.
Arriving just as they opened we were welcomed and shown to our table by the manager a Legend in Blackpool.
The set 2 course early bird menus had plenty of choice and good value.
The restaurant soon filled up even on a Monday night post lockdown so be sure to book.
Good food and wine and excellent service.
The whole family enjoyed the meal and atmosphere provided.
Be sure to check out this Italian restaurant when you next stay in Blackpool.

Blackpool has some great places to eat and sapori is no exception. Having visited Blackpool many times this is our first visit and it will definitely not be our last. Not only did they squeeze us In at short notice ( 2 adults and 5 children!) They made all of us feel very welcomed. The waiters were amazing and extremely helpful, accommodating a toddlers eating needs too. Now to the food...according to my nephew the filetto al barolo was one of the best steaks he's had. Infact all our food was fantastic.
We will definitely book again when we return to Blackpool. Thank you for great experience.

I have been to Sapori a few times over the years and I have always loved it. However I went a few nights a go with a friend and there was an atmosphere when we arrived. Our table was not set up properly and we were then only given one menu to share. This was all fixed and things seemed to be going better but the two waiters seemed to be arguing and the tension made us, as guests, feel slightly uncomfortable. The food was amazing but the professionalism let it down slightly. However, I would still go back.

My husband and I have been here 3 times, first time in 2011, then 2014 and back again yesterday. Love, love, love it here, especially the man who looks after the front of house, he's funny in Basil Faulty kinda way, you'll either think he's rude or you will warm to him, I find the staff to be very friendly. Their food is delicious, we shared a pizza and something new for us Lobster pasta, will definitely have that again. I normally take photos of my food, but I was so hungry after a busy day in sunny hot Blackpool (yes, you read right, it was scorching hot and sunny) I forgot. I didn't feel unsafe eating here, there is hand gel on every table and the restaurant was managing arrivals well. Felt more unsafe walking on the prom by North pier as that was heaving. We will keep coming here for our Italian food when we visit Blackpool, would thoroughly recommend. Thank you Sapori.

Popped in on spec to see if there was a table for a family of five available and the staff were fantastic, really went out of their way to find a table for us. The food was delicious, I'd highly recommend the spicy garlic bread, really really tasty with a great kick. I went for the carbonara for my main but we also had lasagne, spaghetti bolognese and a delicious pasta dish that I forget the name of but it was with a bacon, tomato, onion and chilli sauce, suffice to say there was lots of trying of one another's choices 😂
The staff couldn't have been friendlier, making a fuss of all of the family and especially our youngest son who was happily trying a little Italian!!
If you're in Blackpool and you need a change from the usual junk food and fish and chips Sapori is most definitely worth a try!

I went here with my wife and 2 kids. As soon as we walked in we say a nice lady behind the bar pulling beer, we asked her if they had a table and she said yes and that the manager should be free in a second and he will show us through. As soon we saw the manager walk towards us, he looked at us and his face just dropped, maybe it was the fact that my wife wears a head scarf, she also noticed there was a funny look in his face. All he said to us was "fully booked" we were shocked, then a few seconds later we say another 4 people walk in and they were told they'll get a table in a couple of minutes, so these 4 really nice people heard from us our story and were quite saddened themselves as they didn't book and got a table although they came later than us. They offered us their table as the so called 'manager' was arranging their table as they saw 2 little kids of ours that are very hungry but we said its ok, we just don't feel welcome here and thanked them leaving them to enjoy the meal. The barmaid that we first spoke to, I looked at her on the way out and I could see how guilty she felt but it was out of her hands.
SHAME ON THE MANAGEMENT! SHAME ON YOU! It's people like you that really divide up the people that wana live peacefully with everyone. What goes around goes around for the so called 'manager' you'll get it back. Don't you worry. Sometimes God gives you just what you deserve, it's just a matter of time!

I visited Blackpool with my heavily pregnant daughter for a couple of days.
We decided this Italian to go to based on their previous reviews
The food were amazing, very reasonable priced and the best food I have had for a long time, the service were great and very friendly, I highly recommend this establishment .
The only down side is we live in Sheffield but will definately visit again if we come back next year.

The restaurant came highly recommended and we were really looking forward to going. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed and the sight and smell of the food being served was wonderful. As we were being seated my elderly mum started feeling faint and became increasingly unwell. The staff could not have been more helpful and did everything they could to make her more comfortable. However, it became clear that we would need to leave. I was very conscious that we were a table of 5 and that the restaurant was losing 5 paying guests in these very difficult Covid times. However, all the staff were so very helpful and just very concerned to make sure that my mum was ok. Even the owner came out from the kitchen to see if he could do anything help.
We had been very touched and impressed by the thoughtful and careful way in which everyone handled the situation last night. However, imagine my surprise when this morning I received a phone call from the owner of the restaurant to check how mum was now doing. I was pleased to be able to tell him that she was feeling much improved, and I cannot express how touched we all were at this wonderful thoughtful gesture of contacting us to ask about her.
This experience restored my faith in how brilliantly people often respond in adverse situations.
My whole party including my mum cannot wait to be able to go back to this fantastic place and taste some of that amazing food.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our Tuesday evening meal at Sapori. We did book, but there were some empty tables. Food was faultless; we shared a mixed platter of meats, cheese, smoked salmon, brushetta, olives etc. delicious, followed by sea bass for me and carbonara for husband. We shared a reasonably priced house red, which was good.
An excellent meal, so why only 4 out of 5? The two waiters (owners?) were not customer friendly. The service was efficient, but they did not smile or engage with us in any way and did not even say ‘Good evening or thank you ‘ when we were leaving, despite receiving a good tip. I do not like over friendly waiters and prefer to eat a quiet meal, but common politeness would have made this a perfect evening. We are locals and have visited several times over the years, though not recently. We would probably try it again, hoping that there would be different staff, or better still, smile gentlemen please!

Shocking Sapori.
I’ve tried to give the opportunity to respond, have emailed, they gave me the wrong address, so rang, the ‘owner / manager’ started shouting at me, wouldn’t let me speak then said just go and put your reviews on. But just to confirm there are no eggs in the raw dough.
Fabulous welcome, great service, ordered food and were served a raw garlic bread piccante. Explained to the lovely waiter with dark hair who accepted the dough was clearly raw, the very same garlic bread (minus the two raw pieces we’d eaten) were returned to us, clearly burnt. I politely expressed my concern with this, lovely waiter seemed outraged that we didn’t receive a fresh, other waiter made us to feel ridiculous for expecting a fresh actually cooked bread and heard him, the ‘Neapolitan’ waiter use Italian expletives. Other lovely Sapori staff continually told him to go away (in Italian and English) whilst he was aggressive and wagged his finger at us

Where do I start. Not the most welcoming of experiences. The table was booked for a birthday meal. The setting was one short no big deal.
Was then rushed to order drinks. Told them to give us 5 minutes to get relaxed and look over the menu. The whole ordering of drinks should have been a red flag from the outset. Rushed and poorly served. Requested a guiness and told they didn’t have any, yet when I went to pay there was guiness in the fridge! Wine was served in gin goblets.
Ordering the food was rushed again. Thought the food was overpriced for what it is. The starters were nothing special. But nearly £9.50 for calamari is significantly overpriced when other restaurants in Blackpool are seeking the same for around £7. The main meals were then rushed and poor value for money. Pasta dishes were ok. The chicken dishes were flavourless and for £22 considered overpriced.
I wouldn’t recommend this establishment
