Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a great pub’! We’ve recently moved to the area and tonight was our first visit. We could not have been made to feel more welcome. Excellent and friendly crew, great food and an excellent point. Topped off with watching the sun set over the...Irish Sea. Superb! Thank you.More

It is not often that we eat in this pub but I have to say that what we had recently was well-cooked and there was a lot of it. There is a good choice on the menu too. The refurbishments are also better. A good...pub in which to spend a few hours dining with friends.More

So we headed to The Highlands pub as recommended by a friend. Great little pub situated on the promenade in bispham great views from the beer garden, however it was a bit cold and windy to sit outside 😀 so we decided to head inside....The staff were very friendly and helpful on entry sat us down in restaurant area, the menu was good not overwhelming which made it easy to choose from. The staff also brought us the specials menu which was a nice touch as its close to valentines there were some nice offers on. Food was fantastic homemade and fresh, great portion sizes and as it wasn't too busy it was brought out quite quick. The price for the amount of food was reasonable and would definitely recommend for a family to visit as rhe staff were brilliant from start to finish 🙂 we will definitely be heading back. Thanks the Roberts-Lowther familyMore

A great pub, the food is absolutely awesome. The craic is first class. A proper pub, that I can not speak highly enough of. With one exception Zoe has an attitude problem, she looks down her nose at people. Her attitude is shocking. Who does...she think she is to pass comment on everyone who walks through the door. If she's there next time we walk in, we'll walk straight back out. On the other hand the quiz master is a brilliant as is the lass with the red hair. Over all a great place, a proper British pub. Don't let Zoe ruin it with her attitude.More

First off, the ambiance is top-notch. The staff there are super friendly and always ready to make your night memorable. Plus, they have an impressive selection of drinks to cater to everyone's taste buds. Whether you're in the mood for cocktails, craft beers, or even...some unique concoctions, they've got you covered. The bar also hosts live music nights, which adds an extra touch of excitement to the experience. If you’re lucky enough you might even get to witness the local legend “Elvis” swinging his hips! So, if you're looking for a place to unwind, enjoy great drinks, and have a blast, "The Highlands” is definitely the spot to check out! 🥂More

Was in Blackpool for a family holiday staying at a near by hotel. This place quickly became our go to place for a drink and a bite to eat. The food was sublime and reasonably priced. The bearded guy behind the bar was very helpful...on our visits to The Highlands giving us table service every day and recommending different dishes for us to try his knowledge of the products was exceptional and so was his service. All the other staff was also very helpful but this he didn’t seam to stop wizzing around the place keeping everyone happy he even took his time to keep our younger daughter entertained with a colouring sheet and letting her out her own sauce in her ice cream! If your ever in the area I’d recommend this establishment as the food and service is second to none.More

Popped in 11/10/23 and ordered myself a ‘thwaites gold’ and it was delightful. Best pint I’ve had in bispham for a very very long time. The bearded gent behind the bar was very knowledgeable about the real ale that was available and was a pleasure...to speak to. Shortly after my arrival a blind man came into the pub and the bar man was quick to assist him taking drinks over to his table and serving him his following drinks and food at the table. This was truly heartwarming as many people would of left him to struggle!More

What a pub! Great selection of lagers and ales! Very clean and tidy. Moved to Blackpool from Durham recently and this place is quickly becoming my second home. The service from the bar staff is second to none. Ash and Racheal are very attentive and...my drink is normally made for me before I even ask and they always takes time to ask about my day. If you want to visit a pub where the bar staff k is what they’re doing and actually care this is the place for you.More
