What a lovely night out we had; the food was beautifully served, cooked to perfection and the portion sizes were not small. It was, in our opinion, definitely value for money. There's not a huge amount of tables so you weren't squashed in, you were...never hurried either. The view over the prom was an added bonus. Service was friendly and polite. There was a pianist when we visited and he played all sorts of tunes and this added to the ambience. If this is how the a la carte was served, then the Sunday lunch menu must be given a try! Definitely recommend this restaurant and we will be returning. A thoroughly lovely evening....oh, and the 'feather blade' steak was absolutely delicious!More

Given the previous reviews, this didn’t live up to expectation. A warm duck salad that wasn’t, scallops served with coral still attached, bland main course (lamb) and a broken chair that I eventually sorted myself after the waiter I informed obviously forgot. At £90 for...2 courses with wine for 2 (no dessert or coffee), I think we could have expected better.More

Since I got home after our visit I have checked website and can’t see anywhere where it says no cash accepted. Felt really embarrassed, having seen in the lift that they don’t accept cash. We didn’t have any cards with us. Had to get a...friend nearby to come and pay for the meal before we had it. I would have gone elsewhere but.my husband wanted to stay . It should be clearly stated on the website or open table that they don’t accept cash. It was a lovely meal but we won’t be back . Manager apologised but it spoilt the nightMore

Were really excited to get booked in here for our anniversary meal. The building and restaurant looked great on entry. Waited about 5 mins on arrival before anyone acknowledged us. Were sat down then left. 5 mins later were asked if we had ordered drinks...err...can we have the drinks menu please??? - incorrect rose wine (sweet not dry) given to my partner. As they appeared soo short staffed...couldn't flag this up so she took it back to the bar herself. Young gent (the general manager) advised us they didnt have the wine she ordered but arranged a similar one and graciously give us the whole bottle for price of a glass. Then ordered food...all good. Starters came quickly and piping hot. No complaints, both gorgeous, french onion soup and seared scallops. Mains came, featherblade beef and ribeye. However after few mouthfuls...the ribeye appeared to be a sirloin steak. No staff around or bothered to check if our food was ok. Finally got attention 5 mins later...Sent it back to be informed by the chef it was ribeye.... I agreed to disagree... had amount deducted from bill...but by this time I had ate my meal...so my partner just ordered a dessert instead rather than await another steak being cooked. The sides were big portions and quite delicious. Only one female waitress and one male waiter...both didn't seem to have any interest being there. The manager was brilliant and give us a table by the window for the views once the restaurant started to empty and kindly took photos for us to remember our anniversary. The manager really needs staff versed in excellent customer service however - the fact the manager doesn't respond to tripadvisor reviews is concerning. Food was good albeit the steak hiccup. Would return but only in the hope customer service has inproved!!More

We visited the White Tower in September on a Saturday evening. It's an absolute gem. Being able to walk directly off an incredibly busy promenade into such a calm and beautiful place is amazing. Its delightfully quirky. Think somewhere between The Overlook in The Shining...and a 1970s film noir restaurant. Even entering via the retro lift sets the scene as you approach the sunken bar.... Staff greeted us with a lovely welcome and we sat in a table looking right down the strip with a frankly mesmerising view. The menu isn't extensive but I like that. It is very reasonably priced and portion size is good if that's your thing. Food was amazing, everything cooked perfectly and all nicely presented. Super relaxed atmosphere with staff working their socks off. This is like a slightly retro breath of fresh air right in the heart of old beautifully bonkers Blackpool. It's the second time we have been I suspect we will visit every time we are in Blackpool. Well done to everyone involved in The White Tower. Don't change a thing...More

Booked for a surprise 50th meal, service was exceptionally slow had to keep asking to order a drink, place our order for food, the bill etc… decided that over 2 hours for starter and main was longer enough so decided against dessert. Food was, ‘ok’...nothing to right home about. Staff were lovely and friendly just very slow. Also no acknowledgment for the birthday girl in our party yet there was on another table! View was spoilt somewhat by the uncleared table which was left. It wasn’t overly busy either!More

We love this restaurant and have visited many times over the years, even as recently as two weeks before this visit. So we were rather disappointed to see that standards are slipping. The staff are fantastic but rib eye steak was simply full of gristle....The passion fruit martini had no garnish whatsoever, whereas when we visited the week before there was half a passion fruit in the martini. We will still be returning to try again but if these issues remain it will likely be our last time.More

We went last weekend to The White Tower Restaurant next to the Pleasure Beach for an occasion and the food was lovely. Living in Blackpool most of my life I’ve always wondered what it was like in there, so took a plunge and tried it....We both had steak (cooked perfectly), and the sides were very reasonable at £3.00~ a side - and the portion sizes were more than generous. I think the restaurant is only open Friday-Sunday but I could be wrong. Crème Brûlée was one of the nicest I’ve ever had. Really friendly staff, and couldn’t do enough for us. Service was a little bit slow but admittedly they were quite busy compared to their usual evening service. Definitely recommend - 10/10 🎉More

Warm welcome from all the staff , our waiter was helpful , informative and friendly , could not fault him or any other waiters , all happy , attentive without being in your face . Food was excellent , every course served beautiful presentation ,...perfect, massive compliments to the chef . Pianist playing all night but not too loud , good mix of music to suit all, made the night more special . Place was clean but bit dated but would not put me off returning . Prices very reasonable and good choices of food and wines .I will definitely recommend a visit .More
