Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We saw the positive reviews so thought we give it a try. A charming traditional pub with a cozy warm and friendly atmosphere, the staff were friendly and polite. Someone in our group had the ‘golden years’ for over 60’s 3 course for only £7.95...amazing value and choice. Good selection on their regular menu, starters mains and desserts all very reasonably priced. They had a good selection of drinks on the bar again reasonably priced. Have found a new place to eat will definitely be going back might even go in for a pint one night. Thank you guys a real credit to the management and staff especially in the pub business during these difficult times. Pics are a selection from the 3 courseMore

14 friends for a 60th Birthday celebration. We had the Xmas menu . The food was absolutely fantastic, and the service was great. Couldn’t recommend it any higher. A massive thanks to everyone at The Boars for making the whole night enjoyable.

Came for lunch on our way to a hospital visit. Never been before so wasn’t sure what to expect. It’s a very traditional English pub with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Lovely choice of food and well priced, we opted for the chicken tikka and...it was delicious. I can highly recommend coming here and I’m sure we’ll be back to try their Sunday carvery.More

A big thank you to Karen and Chris for accommodating our family get- together for the Sunday Carvery on 10th Dec 2023. Our party was thirteen strong Including, two vegetarians and one child. As usual the food choice was excellent with properly cooked Roast Beef,...Turkey and Gammon with all the usual vegetables and accompaniments. For just over £10 per head including soup starter, this is excellent value for money. We all had a great evening and everyone enjoyed their food. For those unfamiliar with the Boars Head. It is a traditional pub very warm and welcoming with a log fire in winter. If you are a sports fan, you will appreciate the many tv's throuought the venue. Well worth a visit, see you again soon Sandra & SueMore

The Boars Head Pub in Blackpool is a lovely place to enjoy a 3 meat carvery, soup, and desert, and all for £12.95! The soup of the day is lovely, there is plenty of choice for a delicious roast (all served piping hot), and there are...some nice tables near the open fire to capture a nice ambience! I went with my church for our Christmas Meal (carvery) and everyone was delighted with the meal! The staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended! Happy Christmas! xMore
