This is my tenth or eleventh visit to this restaurant and I have never experienced a bad meal; on the contrary, the food is amazing! I would wholly recommend the side dishes of fresh courgette and the brinjal bhajee (aubergine). Their chicken tikka dhansak was an absolute perfection and my family, who were dining with me, also loved their choices.... More

We decided to visit the Rise of the Raj after it was recommended to us. On a cold Monday night we arrived the resturant was very quite. Once seated we looked around and thought the surroundings weren't the best we've ever been to. We have it best and continued to order a couple of drinks and waited for the menus... More

Thank you for your review again. If someone had recommended our restaurant to you our restaurant must be good otherwise they wold have not recommended it to you. You said you came on "monday" but I'm afraid this is a false accusation despite the fact that the last time you wrote a review about us was back in February. Thank... More

These guys know how to do it - it's the standard 'traditional' UK curry house with booths, tablecloths, popadoms at the start and hot napkins and mint chocs after. My friend wanted a bespoke hot curry and they got it just right; I wanted my usual lamb madras and it was excellent as ever. So, you don't need posh toilets... More

Honestly the least tasty Indian food me and my boyfriend have ever had. It was super bland, the lentil dish was watery and tasted like nothing, the mushroom masala was made from canned mushrooms and also tasted like nothing. The naan was dry and grainy, like you were eating sand. I don't get it. I hope we just ran into... More

thank you for your review. To be honest we can not remember the day you have happened to come in for a meal. You have made an assumption about the cook using canned mushrooms but this is false accusation as the cooks use high quality, fresh food and not canned. Normally our lentil dish is thick as well as tasty.... More

The most delicious food I've ever ate. The venue is gorgeous and welcoming, staff are very polite and willing to help with anything you need! Felt really comfortable and the food didn't take too long at all! The curry is of amazing quality and is very tasty, will definitely be eating here regularly, thankyou!!!

Amazing restaurant with a traditional welcoming venue! Although it was a packed Saturday evening the customer service was still at a high standard and the food was delivered at good timing! The food it's self is deliciously tasty and is served hot! Most definitely the best Indian restaurant I have ate in! I highly recommend this to anyone who loves... More

Talk about basic its like going back in the 1970's! The carpets looks like they've have been down since the 70's and the whole décor is in need of a complete makeover. The building itself smells of really bad damp and clings to your clothes. The menu and food are very basic and the waiters have difficulty interacting. On our... More

Thank you for your review. We have taken this as a big joke. We are confused because when you came in you looked as if you were enjoying your meal. I rather you make a complaint whilst being there. You say the waiters wet finding it hard to "interact" but your the first person to make this accusation. we have hired... More

Very Good service, good food, traditional environment. Clean but basic toilets upstairs. Ordered us a taxi that came quickly after. Will go again.
