Superb restaurant that sits in the Old Crown pub. Staff and service are really good and food is excellent and all cooked to order, so may have to wait a while when busy - but it is worth the wait. We found this by chance...when we had an event cancelled and had to rebook last minute - we will definitely go again.More

Food lovely, service terrible, was left waiting to place order even though we were the second family to be seated the waitress's didn’t seem to have any clue who was next to be served. Asking for the bill was a long wait and then when...the drinks bill came I was overcharged by a vast amount but didn’t realise till we got home as we had walked out by terrible service. Ben as offered us to go back at discounted rate but unfortunately we won’t revisit.More

We had a gorgeous Sunday lunch 2 days ago - 4 adults, 2 children and a lovely touch is that under 5s eat free! The choice of large, medium or small plates is great as this caters for all appetites. And the choice of vegetables...was really really good. Very helpful and friendly staff too, a lovely atmosphere, Would thoroughly recommend - we'll be back very soon!More

We took went out for an impromptu quick pub lunch and had a really lovely meal sat outside Bens kitchen. We've been debating going for some time after hearing previous negative reviews of what used to be "the odd house" but have to say the...food was superb and I'm really glad we finally gave it a shot. It was probably the nicest pub food I've had in years - the burger was lovely and succulent and even the red cabbage slaw that accompanied had a great flavour. Everything was really well seasoned too. The garden was ideal for the little ones to run about, and whilst the restaurant area looks beautiful the rest of the venue looks a little tired and a bit scruffy. I'd highly recommend if you're looking for great food and if the owners are able to smarten the rest of the place up a bit it would be have been a 5 out of 5.More

My first visit to Ben's new venue in Snarestone. The surroundings are different but the food just as delicious. A lovely evening meal. Steak cooked as requested to perfection with a chocolate brownie to finish. NO Photos though ..... arghhhhh....😅 A nice low key atmosphere..., no loud music so we were able to chat. Easy parking Thanks to Ben and the teamMore

A friend and I were staying at The Old Crown inn whilst spending a weekend at the back to the 80s festival down the road. We decided to eat at Ben’s Kichen before paying for over priced fast food at the festival. And we were...so glad we did. I had a burger served with o ion rings Gerkin and skin on fries . Whilst my eating companion had fish and chips. We were not disappointed at all. Good was very tasty and home made. What was a nice touch was that the meal was served by Ben. We came back the following day and tried the deserts as well. Ben’s is well worth the visit, if I had and negative comments I would say not to serve the burger and fries on paper as it does start to disintegrate by the end of the meal if not eaten quick enough. As it’s a separate restaurant from the bar I would like to see both drinks and food on the same bill to make things easier. The outside area near car park could put some off. Would we eat here again?. 100% if we was in the area.More

Just visited Ben’s kitchen for the first time. Polite customer service on arrival. Had two waitresses attending to our orders ( drinks and food) Gambás pilpil to start followed but Sunday roast lamb. The lamb was delicious and succulent. The veg cook to a slight...crunch with a side dish of potatoes in cream an cheese. The gravy home made from broth no powder granules. Desert was home made brownies. Will definitely be back but want to try during the week as the Ben kitchen burgers looked awesome. Well done Ben’s Kitchen great venue, tasty food. Thank you.More

Top class roast dinner in a lovely atmosphere. Twinned with the old crown inn who do the drinks. A new home for Ben’s kitchen attached to the pub. Relaxed friendly atmosphere with staff who know their food and drink. Would recommend and come again.

We have just dined at Ben’s Kitchen and I couldn’t wait to leave a review. Excellent food - including the most delicious steak we’ve had in years. We had starters to share - the Arancini was delicious and then a mixture of burgers and steaks...across the table. It was a little busy when we got there but the food was well worth the wait. Also got to chat to Ben after our meal which was nice to meet the face behind the food! Highly recommend, don’t hesitate to give it a go. We’ll be back for Tapas Tuesday and Steak Thursday.More

Not been to Ben's Kitchen since a lovely golf club Sunday lunch however decided to try steak night which was a choice of 3 steaks at reduced price. My husband ordered a sirloin -pictured- while I had a rump. They were fantastic. My rump was...more like fillet; very impressed with it. Both came with chips, grilled tomatoes on the vine and a Portobello mushroom. Tomatoes were gorgeous as well. The service staff, while very lovely, were not quite as attentive as you might hope. All very pleasant staff but it felt as though perhaps a more experienced waiting staff would have done it more justice. All in all deserves full marks for the steaks. Maybe slightly more choice in starters. Will definitely return.More
