As part of the Novotel loyalty programme, we chose 9B when we visited the city 2 yrs ago & loved it. They had it totally sussed. They knew they were competing with private establishments in the city & aimed to please. In 2021: I loved...the hospitality, the food, the cocktails & the service. The cocktails came with panache & glamour, making the evening memorable. Wanting the same experience we chose it again this year. In 2023:Big disappointment. Someone called Neha served us. Communication, job knowledge & service was poor. It felt like the work was too much of an effort for her. Don't know if it was her training or just that her personality didn't match the job. One of us asked about their 'Black card restaurant benefits', she didn't know a thing about it. (The manager next day told me she should have) Cocktails were less than average & I was left wondering how things could go so badly south. Food still good, but Neha did not check to see if there was anything we needed after getting our food. It wasn't easy to get her attention either. Desserts took ages. More friends joined us & it got worse. Bottled water brought to our table with no glasses to drink it from. We asked for 2 peppermint teas at the end of the meal. Neha brought us two tea cups with one little teapot & one tea bag. I had to explain what we meant by 2 teas. Did not expect that! The next day at breakfast our eggs were served with no cutlery. I had a word with the restaurant manager & the duty manager at check out. The latter appeared to write things down but no one has got back to me. I have no choice but to put it here. Hate to see good service go bad.More

Have it a try to celebrate with my family. The service was good but the food could have been better. The starter sharing platter was very good and nicely presented. For the mains, one dish had too much mash on it, the steak was poorly...cooked. The bar looks good and their drinks menu looked interesting. Maybe a place that is better for drinks in future.More

Girls night out. Love this place for cocktails. Great service and atmosphere. Always a good way to kick off the night. Friendly professional staff great cocktails.

Made a visit to NineB for lunch after a morning in the cinema watching Downton. Modern and attractive location with a warm welcome on arrival. Taken to a seat and served by a friendly and attentive team member. Selected two mains; washed down by a...bottle of wine and coffee. Food quality excellent; service excellent and price very reasonable. Great to have a classy restaurant and bar in Leicester. Looking forward to our next visit soon.More

Nine B is a beautiful restaurant. We had the set Valentines Menu which was £60 per couple. We decided to visit on the Sunday so the Valentines menu being available was a nice touch. Food was good, as was the service. We did a while...for our drinks to arrive, but we put this down to how busy it was and it definitely did not put a downer on out time there. We will back to celebrate our special occasion’s as a family.More

My partner and I visited on Valentines evening after being recommended Nine B by our friends. We saw the set menu online and thought with the included drink it was worth a try and we were not disappointed at all. The food overall was spot...on. The duck main was our stand out dish. Although service wasn’t as fast as maybe it would be on other nights (it was quite busy), it actually made for quite a nice relaxed evening. The cocktails were great and the staff were very attentive and friendly.More

So I pre booked for 2 people a couple of weeks in. advance for valentines paying £10 deposit pp. My table was booked for 730 as the night commenced at 630pm. My choice of starter was not available (ran out) which I don’t understand as...they already had the numbers from pre booking? Also drinks…. We ordered cocktails which never arrived snd we could clearly see them on the bar melting away…we had to constantly remind staff about our drinks orders. Dessert….if we hadn’t pointed out that our dessert hadn’t arrived we wouldn’t have got it. All in all a poor experience, seemed like there was enough staff but the management and direction was poor.More

While the decor is lovely, it cannot make up for the shortfall that was our evening. On a pre-booked set menu evening, by 7.30pm they had run out of things on the menu. The service staff while very nice, were very slow and forgot about...us at various points throughout the evening. We had to ask repeatedly for our drinks orders and from our vantage point we could see our cocktails melting on the bar waiting for someone to bring them over. It was not massively busy either, which would have made it easier to justify. Food wise, the main course and desserts were lovely but the starter was underwhelming- this was the course that was sold out by 7.30pm so we couldn’t order our first choice. Drinks in the summer during lockdown had been nice but unfortunately, dinner on this occasion was not worth the money.More

I visited here this evening with a friend for a catch up as haven’t been for food here yet. The food was amazing and the service was superb! I would definitely recommend visiting if your in leicester. Plus the cocktails are amazing!More

Visited NineB for the first time last night and it didn't disappoint! Large group of us for a birthday celebration and we were really taken care of. Beautiful decor inside, delicious food and drinks... 'True Legend' and 'Rum and Rome' are some of the nicest...cocktails I've had in a long time! Attentative staff that made us feel really welcome, we would definitely return. Really lovely restaurant and bar to visit for a special treat!More

Food was absolutely delicious, so pleased with the service also and the fact that they were able to cater to my dietary preferences. Would recommend this place to everyone, such a lovely atmosphere!More
