Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Good country pub. Sunday menu ok. Disappointed mash sides were not available. Food is hearty. Pork belly could have been a bit more crispy on the fat! Was shocked at 12.95 for one glass of white wine. But still feel lucky to have a decent...pub with good service in a nice location. Dogs welcome. Although some people take this too far bringing in massive barking dogs.More

Well! having enjoyed the Curzon on many occasions we were really disappointed. The menu wasn't to my taste very appealing so the dish I choose admittedly wasn't a favorite. Steak Pie, veg and 'chips'. The pie was fine though certainly more gravy than meat, the...size was sufficient for me but for a healthy appetite would not pass muster. The main complaint was the 'chips' hence the inverted commas, which were wedges that were anemic looking and so under cooked they were inedible. A second batch was substituted and were little better so fries were finally brought but too late and even these were anemic looking though passable. Perhaps the chef had an off day I hope so because we have eaten there many times and this last time has really put me off booking again.More

We used to come before the Curzon changed hands and it was a special place to eat, I took my partner the other evening and it was shocking. On arrival the restaurant area was untidy the counter had piles of stuff on it. Several things...were not available, we asked if we could have pigs in blankets to be told that they are only available at Christmas, why have them on the menu then. Some of the meal was ok, but the Yorkshire looked as though they had been hanging around all day, we had to get up and ask for salt and pepper, mustard and water. If you don't want to serve people on an early Sunday evening then close at 4 after lunch. We have warned all our dining friends.More

As always, the staff were helpful in accommodating our needs for this visit, which was a bit complex in terms of advance payment, dietary options for participants and seating. I took two new friends there as I knew I could rely on the Curzon Arms...to give us tasty, good food in comfortable surroundings and a quiet area to talk.More

Visited to celebrate my wife's 82nd birthday! Once again a lovely meal in a cosy atmosphere. Megan gave us excellent service with a smile. We weren't kept waiting, meal hot, excellent and altogether a memorable occasion. Certainly recommend the apple and blackberry crumble!! It maybe...a bit pricey, but worth every penny... We love it there...!!!More

Good food, but the service wasn’t great. Although it wasn’t very busy, we had to ask to get menus, then to order, and also to get deserts and the bill.

We hadn’t been to The Curzon Arms for many years but we were really looking forward to our visit as we’d heard good reports. We were greeted by a very friendly staff member and shown to our table. Orders for drinks and food were taken...in a timely manner and shortly after our food was delivered to our table. We were all very impressed with our meals. The honey and mustard roast ham was delicious as was the pineapple chutney that accompanied it. The fish and chips were the best our family had been served! Well done chef! We’ll be sure to visit again soonMore

A warm welcome and great service from friendly and helpful staff. Menu was ok but felt it to be more limited and a couple of main course options were not available which was a shame. Meals arrived in good time and were enjoyed. Treats for...the dog were a nice touch. Good selection of wines, spirits and beers (well kept mild). Will be back.More

Quaint country pub with small restaurant, very atmospheric, in the lovely village of Woodhouse Eaves. My husband and I had our Christmas Day lunch there and it was superb. The food was absolutely amazing. We both had a salmon starter followed by traditional turkey dinner...and Christmas pud. Every aspect of the meal was first class, the food, the service and the atmosphere generally, we couldn’t fault it. Over the years we have been to the Curzon Arms many times and it has never failed to deliver. We would just like to thank everyone who made our visit special. Thank you 😊More

We had a fantastic Christmas dinner on Christmas Day. After hearing some negative comments recently we were very pleasantly surprised by the high quality of the food and service. Ed and Pandora offered a lovely service and compliments to the chefs
