Enjoyed a great evening dining at Cini . The restaurant is immaculate and well designed. Both our grandsons loved the invitation to help with making their own pizza. A really good lunch - my mother and I chose the mussels, which were very plump and juicy and cooked perfectly. My 10 year old son ordered a margherita pizza which he also really enjoyed. We had a focaccia garlic bread to share as a...starter - delicious. A good local option. The staff were also really lovely and friendly. Definitely will come back.More

We went for my partner’s birthday. We waited ages (and I mean ages!) for our order to be taken. Another party (who sounded Italian) were immediately taken care of first. This may be a factor as the restaurant is Italian. I had to chase the...waitress twice and they forgot my drink. Incidentally, there was plenty of staff and it wasn’t busy with customers. So I don’t know why they were so slow. When the food finally arrived it was sublime. The food is reasonably priced but the drinks aren’t. So if you don’t mind waiting it’s worth it for the food. If you are in a rush maybe avoid.More

I took my granddaughter along for a mini chef experience today. Our granddaughter is 9 and she absolutely loved going into the kitchen with the chef and creating her own pizza. She was amazed seeing the chef stretching the dough on his hand. She watched...the pizza going in and then enjoyed eating it with more than enough left to take home. Well done all the staff who were attentive and really pleasant. A bargain for £10 can totally recommend.More

Not a good experience. Food was cold, blant. Lacked salt and flavour.i order ravioli , it came with butternut squash sauce which did not go well with it at all. The place was cold, and lacked some decor too. Not a pleasant place looked more...like dining room in hospital. Way too overpriced as well .there were 4 raviollis on the plate for 18 pounds. No one bother to check on us too.More

Another gorgeous, relaxed lunch at one of our favourite restaurants. Food is always freshly made and top notch, the wine is paired beautifully. Arrival cocktails are delicious! Never had a bad word to say about this lovely place, whether you nip in for a yuck...pizz and a drink or a full a la carte evening meal, the standard is always superb, and the welcome always friendly.More

Four of us went for dinner on Friday 2nd December 2022 and had an incredible meal. It's not often I find it hard to choose want I want from a menu, but all the choices on their seasonal set menu were attractive. However the quality...of the food was outstanding. My husband and I came here for a date night. The wait staff were good and pleasant. The food was OK. We ordered bread and olives whilst we waited. We had the antipasti to share which was good but it's just meat, cheese and salad,...so you can't really go wrong. For our mains my husband and I both had the veal... That was underwhelming. I'm glad we ordered 3 sides because I ended up giving most of my veal to my husband and eating the sides. We didn't care much for the dessert options so decided to skip it and buy something on our way home.More

My Husband and I went to Cini on Saturday night and will never darken their door again. The waiting staff were really pleasant and that's the only positive I can find from the night. The food was dull and uninteresting. The Ravioli I had which...was described as being served ON a vegetable jus with a drizzle of basil pesto and olive oil, arrived swamped in a vegetable casserole. I couldn't even see the ravioli which was meant to be the star...the whole dish was flavourless. My husband had the fillet which looked to have been left on one side to cook so it was dry and then swamped with a sauce he didn't know was with the dish. Everything else was extra £. Broccoli x 3 tender stems £5 chips £5 on top of £35 for a fillet I think is overpriced here. We did pleasantly feedback and were assured it would be passed on to the chef. Who was already apparently b**locking a member of staff because once again they had forgotten to toast the pine nuts and "they've told him so many times" not what I wanted to hear really. I couldn't believe my eyes when the bill came for over £160 including 1 bottle of wine and two gins. An absolute rip off. When we queried it, it was referred to the Chef who then rounded on my Husband asking him "What do YOU DO for a living" it would seem unless you are a chef your opinion on his food is invalid. He ended up physically barging my husband, throwing the bill across the room and marching off to the kitchen. We had no intention at all of not paying for our meal. I felt most sorry for the staff who were left apologising on his behalf. Last time we were there we had a table booked for 8pm and were left at the bar until gone 9.30 because the table we were meant to be sat on still had diners at it and they wouldn't ask those diners to move to the bar even though they had finished their meal. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant when you have other decent restaurants in South Leicestershire that give you fantastic value for money and no belligerent chef!!More

A last minute booking on a Friday evening with our children aged 5 and 7. The service was fantastic the food was simple but beautiful and tasty. They were so kind to our children and made us feel at ease. It was busy but the...service was great and we will definitely be returning.More

I had not visited Cini for a number of years but was absolutely blown away! We went there for my birthday meal and the whole experience was positive. First, the food, which was top quality, well presented and tasty. Second, the service, which was friendly,...relaxed and efficient - up with best. Third, the restaurant itself, which is bright, modern and comfortable. Finally, the bill, which was very reasonable. Well done Cini _ we will return!More

Visited Cini recently and had a fantastic evening. Drinks were amazing and food was top notch. What really makes this hidden gem stand out is the staff. Despite being obviously young they really make this place the most amazing experience, make you feel so welcome...and like you’ve known them for years. I was served by a young girl called Olivia who made no request feel too much or like we were a inconvenience and ensured we had a lovely evening. The warmth and charisma of the staff is what makes this place stand out as a go to for an evening out as well as the delicious food. The only reason it’s not 5* is because the atmosphere was let down by the constant swearing coming from the kitchen which frankly made us feel quite uncomfortable. Apart from that I really can’t fault this place and will definitely be returning soon.More
