I spotted this restaurant on a visit to Lincoln in September and it looked a lovely place so when we decided to spend our wedding anniversary in Lincoln we booked a table online , I've read on a few reviews people commenting on the fact that when you book they ask for your card details. .. I did think I've... More

Visited Saturday night for a special meal to celebrate our anniversary. From start to finish the experience could not have been better. The welcome and service throughout was warm and friendly and the food was absolutely delicious. I had the pork belly followed by the lamb. Being 7 months pregnant I asked for the lamb to be cooked slightly longer... More

I have often been here before for both dinner and lunch. Initially one is in awe of this wonderful old building but once inside the quality of the restaurant soon asserts itself. On this occasion I was in a party of 12 persons with a pre-chosen menu at a fixed price. Given the quality and quantity, I am not sure... More

I write this review with a sense of regret as I had such high hopes and expectations for a wonderful dining experience at The Jew's House. After a tasty 'amuse bouche' of tuna sashimi, my wife and I both chose the 'special' starter, which was the tomato and chorizo soup with king prawn, created by the chef in view of... More

Went here with my partner on a Friday evening, it was such a lovely evening and there just wasn't anything negative about it. The place had a lovely atmosphere. The décor was reserved and classy, the exposed brickwork and wooden beams made it feel very homely along with the soft, dim lighting. Background noise/music is a big thing to me... More

Sadly we found the whole lunch experience at Jews House rather pretentious. I have never had to give credit card details to confirm a table reservation, not even in top flight London restaurants. We found the service from arrival to the finish, over the top and not in keeping with the simple, somewhat lacking, surroundings. We felt our meal was... More

We went as a treat with some family who had been there before and often spoke about how good it was. We were not disappointed. The food is wonderful with rich flavours and fresh and local produce which was highlighted when some amendments had been made to the menu due to what was available on the day. The service was... Eight of us went for a meal, brothers and sisters for many years getting together in Lincoln. You need to book, that says something, and you even need to order for a party before arrival. The food choice was limited, but every dish had something unique about it, all very good. Style was nouveau cuisine, with small portions, but the... More

Its our first time to this restaurant whilst on one of our many visits to Lincoln. What a lovely warm and charming environment. Really intermit and a romantic place to have a meal for two. Even though the tables are in close proximity, you get lost in the whole atmosphere created. The staff were attentive and knowledgable about both the... More

We have only lived in Lincoln for a couple of years and walked past this restaurant a few times on the way up Steep Hill and always thought "we must try it". We were given vouchers as a present to go here and goodness me it was amazing. From the moment we walked in we couldn't fault the service. It... More
