My Wife and I booked La Trattoria for my Birthday. As we was taking 8 other guests we called to make the reservation. We wanted to book the table for 8.00pm but were told that a party of 15 had booked earlier. We understood as the restaurant is small and we wanted to sit at one table, so we were offered 8.30 which was fine. We were asked if we could Pre select the menus which was no problem to us, and we asked everyone to select their choice. The starters were served for everyone at the same time, as were the main courses, with just the right amount of time between, which we found extremely efficient. Everyone commented on the food which was excellent. The service was great, with the chef asking if everything was OK. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough!

This restaurant serves top quality food and reasonable prices- esp after allowing for a contribution from the Chancellor. We learnt outside in the yard, which on a warm summer evening felt like being in Tuscany in a rural cucina. Well worth a visit if in Lincoln.

My wife and I went to check this out in preparation for a small family gathering we are having and we were not disappointed. As others have said it is like someone's living room which adds some charm. The young lady who served us was friendly and when I asked for no cheese on my brussetta was quick to ask if I had an allergy (I don't but I hate cheese!). The meal was excellent and was washed down with a nice bottle of frascati. This restaurant is perfect for our requirements.

Great food and service in an unusual but cosy, atmosphere. I love this little restaurant and have been for both lunch and dinner. Very reasonably priced lunchtime menu (limited) and evening dinner menu with some lovely 'specials' on offer. Booking is recommended due to size of the establishment...like I said...cosy!

The food is top notch - Gamberoni to start; king prawns were sweet and not overcooked, the wine & garlic sauce really good. The lasagne really was terrific- the only negative to the evening was the wine prices - £35 for a bottle of £4.99 white spoiled the evening a little.
enjoy the food & drink tap water :)

Really enjoyed this restaurant. Traditional Italian - much better than the usual “chain” Italians elsewhere.
2 courses for 4 with wine was £110, which we felt was great value for the quality of the food.
Warm welcome from the owner and the staff too.

Really was excited to try this place as looking at the reviews it seemed to be the place to go so me and my friend went on a Wednesday evening to be left feeling quite disappointed.. the starters were wonderful no complaints there but the main arrived and and I went for a chicken pasta dish and the chicken was very rubbery and not tender at all? It was inedible and when I told the owner and I said ‘I’m very sorry but I can’t eat this’ I showed him the chicken and explained it was not good quality and didn’t taste nice. I was never rude, he reacted in a way that made me feel quite uncomfortable, shoved the menu in my face and basically said to pick something else. When I said ‘if it’s too much trouble I will just leave it’ (now feeling quite awkward) he rolled his eyes and said ‘no just pick something’ so I did, without meat this time…! This pasta dish came and was extremely salty but I ate what I could, we got the bill and left. I don’t know how to explain this in the way that we felt, but in my opinion if you are that proud of your establishment and the food you provide you do everything you can for your customers to ensure they have the best experience, food and service combined. This experience was neither.

We visited just before lockdown - we were the first table there. First of all we booked a table for 5 people, the reservation was only for 4. i got told that they were a small restaurant so could not easily accommodate extra people - i had to take out my phone and show the message i sent with the owner confirming my table for 5 people. We then wanted to order a smaller portion of pasta or pizza for my 4 year old son which we were told we could not do so we decided to all share with him. The owner arrived and clearly was irritated and made us feel very uncomfortable when he was having a heated conversation with the staff in front of the table. Our food arrived - myself and my husband had chicken in cream sauce which was bland and not overly enjoyable. My daughters pasta was the same. The only item we all enjoyed was garlic bread and pizza. The quality of the cooking has gone downhill and the atmosphere was tense and uninviting. We will not be returning. On another note despite being in the pandemic the waiting staff were hugging customers who they obviously knew , there was no sanitising after contact either, and the waiter looked like he had been in a fight which unsettled my children.

Our first visit to Vincenzo's, on our wedding anniversary..& not disappointed. We were welcomed & seated, and although the room was pretty quiet with some background music playing, there was a lovely ambience. Food was superb, in quality & quantity. My wife started with king prawns followed by pasta filled with lobster, I chose prosciutto & mozzarella followed by chicken Genovese. Accompanied by a good Prosecco & rounded off with delicious desserts & coffees,we both felt it was excellent value at around £85. Shall definitely be returning.

We love 💕 La Trattoria. The staff are friendly and helpful. It’s wonderfully clean and quaint & has an authentic atmosphere too. The food 🥘 is lovely quality and very tasty. Good choice on the menu. They even do a lunch time special. On this occasion we had water. Next time we’ll get the bus & share a bottle of wine 🍷. Complimentary olives presented in quality oil and chillis (not too hot either), & complimentary bread, good to dip in after the olives. We both enjoyed a pasta 🍝 dish, Hubby also had a chocolate cheesecake. Everything was absolutely delicious 😋!!!!
We love 💕 it here. We’ll definitely be back. Wendy & Derek xx

If you want authentic Italian food combined with great service then you must dine at La. Trattoria.
Good choice of daily specials together with a extensive and varied menu.
A good wine list compliments the food.
Prices are reasonable

The food was delicious and the set up was different, in a good way, being set up in a living room of a terraced house. But the service from the get go was awkward and uncomfortable. We were the first to arrive and walked up to the front door bang on 5.30pm as we had a little one in tow so needed an early dinner. One of the staff came up, looked at us through the glass, turned the sign from Closed to Open, then walked off not even signalling us to come in. The staff were a bit serious and difficult to get a smile out of. We weren’t offered the dessert the menu and we’re not sure whether it’s because they wanted to get rid of us to turn around the table for a second sitting or they just didn’t like us, either way it was a bit rubbish.

Our first visit and hopefully not out last.
A small but friendly restaurant on the edge of the town centre.
We shared a garlic bread with cheese starter, it was the size of a pizza, and very nice it was.
We both had the meatballs with linguine, large potions, hot and very tasty.
Service was fast and polite.
A couple of drinks and a the bill was around £27 per head.
We enjoyed our visit and hopefully will return

What a find! If you love real Italian traditional food, without pomp and circumstance that this is the right place for you. We had 4 in our party and everyone had something different. All were amazed at the quality and taste. I can highly recommend the Lobster Ravioli. I have eaten in some very high quality restaurants in Florence and this little gem is comparable at half the price.
Loved it, will definitely visit again.

Visited here with an old school friend who I had not seen for 40+years, Charming place. The weather was great and we were able to eat outside in a nicely shaded outdoor area. My friend had the prosciutto and the calzone, I had the bruschetta and the lingiune pescatore plus a couple of drinks each. The food was excellent. Portions were more than generous, tbh neither of us managed to leave a clean plate. Dessert would have been impossible :D
We had so much to reminisce about we didn't really notice the time and the staff were way too polite to mention it was past closing time.
Highly recommended.
Many thanks to the staff for making a memorable day even more memorable.
Grazie mille.
