I have been visiting Lovelocks since it opened and always frequently (at least once or twice a week) when I was a Merseyside resident. Now I’ve moved away I long to have such a welcoming atmosphere with as much laughter and heart as this place does, and it makes me miss it even more so because I have not found anywhere quite as quirky, unique, and welcoming as well as serving amazing coffees and food!
Lovelocks is not to be missed when travelling to Liverpool, wether it’s to eat in for a meal or simply to grab a takeaway snack and coffee! Make sure you check out the amazing independent artist wares usually on sale (this can be anything from greetings cards to jewellery or stoneware mugs!). The staff are also amazingly friendly and approachable. Don’t be afraid to ask them anything about the local area for recommendations on where to visit or things to see and do. Ok this has made me miss the place even more ❤️

Super cheap, super ‘grammable’, super healthy fresh food all served with a smile. It’s not hard to see why this place is so popular. Definitely one to stop by at for a relaxed breakfast / brunch as we did this morning on a three night stay in the centre. Highly recommended.

I'm always happy to come back to Lovelock's. The coffee is high quality, the lunches are tasty but affordable - with plenty of veggie and vegan options. I recommend the bagels! The people are so lovely and will do everything to help you if you need anything. There's some outdoor seating and the café is dog friendly. A really wonderful little place.

Incredibly friendly people - extraordinarily helpful, cheerful - serving a range of excellent food : specials , sandwiches , soups in addition to a wide of coffees and teas . A bit out of the way, yet only 10 mins walk (max) from Lime Street. I pop in every time I am in Liverpool . Fills up quite quickly but worth it.

A lovely place to eat. I had eggs on toast (I made it a smile face by adding brown sauce), a tea and a coffee. All super tasty, friendly staff, quick service, and quirky fun decor.
Also, very convenient location for the world museum and the Walker gallery.

I have walked past lovelocks since I moved for university back in September and have always thought it looks lovely and there is a certain calm atmosphere surrounding the place. After a train cancellation I found this the perfect time to pop in and see if it would be everything I had hoped. I turned up half an hour before opening and was immediately greeted with a smile and welcomed to wait with a menu until they were all set up for the day. Their limited menu (post-lockdown and understandable) still went beyond what I expected as a fussy vegetarian. Everyone here is exceedingly lovely, the atmosphere very relaxing and food delicious. I will absolutely be returning with others in tow to share this haven with.

Decided to find a place for breakfast, and what a breakfast we had! Two delicious baked eggs, lovely bacon, mushrooms and homemade baked beans on sour dough toast; superb. It really set us up for the rest of the day. Very reasonably price and very hardworking staff, would definitely recommend it.

I have been coming to Lovelocks for years. And the new location just blows me away. Lovelocks 2.0 is more like 10.0. The team has truly blown it out of the park. Wheelchair accessible, a wide range of options on the menu for vegans and GF, puppy friendly and always there to greet you with a smile. I never get bored of lovelocks, my personal fave is the homemade soup of the day and a sandwich. Warming and interesting recipes every time.

We popped in here for a quick lunch as it was convenient but found the menu limited and rrather too halthy and modern for our taste.
Service was a little slow for us as we were in a hurry.
It is a clean airy place and if the menu appeals to you then go there, otherwise there are better nearby

Lovelocks is near the Travelodge. There is an excellent choice of vegetarian and vegan food.
The restaurant is adorned with rainbow decorations, giving it a wonderful ambience.
Service is friendly though because all the food is cooked freshly it is slightly slow.

Absolutely loved finding this coffee shop! There's plants everywhere which makes it even better because I am OBSESSED with cacti!
The flat white was delicious, and the cinnamon French toast was the best I've ever had at a cafe. The staff are wonderful and welcoming, and the whole atmosphere was just the best.
I wish I could pick this cafe up and take it home with me!! I'll have to come back to liverpool just to return here.

FRIENDLIEST cafe ever. Sarah and the staff never stop smiling and they are so warm and welcoming to anyone that steps through their door, be it old friends or new faces. The food is inventive and delicious and the coffee is top notch. You won’t get better than this!

While visiting Liverpool with my girlfriend, she recommended giving lovelocks a try and I'm so very glad we did! The service was attentive and efficient. They were considerate of our covid concerns and the food was fantastic! The soup was fresh and delicious and the sandwiches made our hearts stop and beat faster at the same time. I hope this hidden gem doesn't stay hidden for long.

A favourite for both work and weekend lunches. The owner and all the staff there are so lovely and friendly and the place is quaint, relaxing and charming. Great range of choices with lots of options for vegetarians and vegans. A particular favourite is the baked eggs and mushrooms with the nicest bread ever! Keep up the good work guys 😊

Came for lunch with a friend, such a cosy and pretty cafe and very well decorated with beautiful plants. Unfortunately the coffee machine was broken but we were still accomodated well and the staff worked out a way to make my friend an iced caramel coffee from their filter. I went for the soup and sandwich deal, was very inexpensive and so tasty! Love that the soup is homemade, as it made it that bit more special. Also, the cups and bowls in here are lovely, I wanted to take them home! Will definitely be back.
