the food was beautiful with a lovely view of liverpool. lovely staff especially laurie and lana, took good care of me and my partner. got a surprise at the end for our one year anniversary.
It's with such a shame that I have to write this review. I visited for the luxury afternoon tea. On the visit the food and service was very good. What left a very sour taste was the phone call later that evening saying that I...hadn't paid the full bill. I had paid the full bill and they must have had a mix up. There was no apology that they got it wrong, or that they had contacted me late in the evening. But to be accused in the first instance was very insulting. I have tried to reach out via their website contact form but had no reply. Hence why I'm reviewing in here. My opinion is they just want your money and are not concerned about customer grievances after.More
Excellent place and good food, fantastic views of the surrounding area. Freindly staff and very clean
Absolutely stunning visit to Panoramic 34! I booked the luxury afternoon tea for two as a surprise for my friend for her birthday. On exiting the lift on the 34th floor we were greeted by the host who sat us in the little waiting area...while the staff set our table. We were there for less than a minute before our table was ready. We were sat on one of the big round tables in the window with a beautiful view of the docks. Our server Lana was personable, warm and very informative, running through the menu with us as we waited for our drinks (we opted for the champagne over the cocktails which came as part of the afternoon tea package). Everything was thoughtfully prepared, delicate and delicious - I couldn't get over the amuse bouche (carrot and parsley muffin) - I could have quite easily eaten 30 of those alone and still paid full price! The food was all presented in such a beautiful way and the quality, not to mention the bottomless tea and coffee was well worth the price. The staff were also very accommodating of my plan to bring balloons to decorate the table for my friend - as horrid weather sealed my decision to scrap that plan, the kitchen staff decorated a beautiful 'Happy Birthday' plate with white chocolate script and rose petals which was such a generous touch. We overstayed our table time limit by a little and the staff started to prepare for dinner service, but we weren't rushed and were made to feel welcome right up until we left. Thank you again to Lana and all the staff for making my surprise plans run so smoothly and for giving my friend (and myself) a memorable experience - we'll be booking in for dinner service soon for sure!More
Our experience at the luxury afternoon tea was divine! Oliver our server was very attentive and polite and kind who met our every need. A credit to Panoramic 34. The afternoon tea was delicious, we especially loved the cocktails, unlimited tea and coffee and earl...grey macarons! The food we couldn’t eat we packed away so very looking forward to that later! Thanks Oliver for making a memorable experience!More
Went to the Panoramic 34 for Signature Afternoon Tea as an anniversary treat. The entire experience was an absolute pleasure! The staff were lovely, from the meet and greet at reception, to the waitresses and bar staff, with special thanks to Lana and Eleanora, and...not forgetting everyone in the kitchen! The food was beautiful, so much so that we cleaned our plates! Great relaxed atmosphere in the bar for drinks afterwards, topped off with amazing views of Liverpool, without a doubt, the best city in the world! Can’t wait to go back and would highly recommend to anyone looking for somewhere special to go.More
Visited for 50th anniversary meal and wasn’t disappointed From the the initial greeting to service at the table everything was first class Polite attentive and professional a credit to there company The food was excellent lovely presentation and quality of produce was top class Overall...a great experience and certainly a place I would recommendMore
So disappointing. A special occasion ruined by overpriced, over salted, mediocre food. The spectacular view, the receptionists and our waiter Ollie were the only saving graces. Be aware that everything is charged for on top of your meal. If you have saved up for a...special meal, go elsewhere.More
We went for my 50th birthday. Lana was our server and she was absolutely lovely. Thank you all for the great time and kind bday treat at the end!
Came here for our third visit for our Son in Laws Birthday and was a little disappointed with the service. We booked in for drinks in the lounge beforehand but waited over half an hour for two cocktails and then one of them was incorrect....When we checked our final bill we found the incorrect cocktail was still included and an additional £35 which they couldn’t explain. Whilst the view is great the level of service has certainly slipped which is a shame!More
I went for afternoon tea with a friend and it really was a wow moment when I came out of the lift and saw the view. The vegetarian afternoon tea was £32 which is average for the setting and standard. The sandwiches were fresh with...a good flavour. The cakes were delicious and the scones were fine with plenty of jam and clotted cream. Personally I think it would be better if they brought the scones out warmed once you'd finished everything else. Our server Eleonora from Argentina was delightful and very attentive making sure our teapot was refilled numerous times.More
Beautiful doesn't cover it. By sunset I had tears in my eyes. We arrived and waited in lounge for our table, this gave us time to browse the menu. Were shown to the table and the view was incredible, yes Liverpool which ever way you...look it's quite industrial yet the sunset over the docks was gorgeous, to not spoil a view the tables light up so ambient lighting allows for gazing away. Amazing idea! Attentive but not in your face service, staff were professional, knowledgable about wine and friendly. Dinner was really tasty and well presented, we had scallops and my husband had steak for main and I think I had a fish. All very well cooked and rivaling a superb fine dining but at much more affordable price. From memory we paid less than £150 but would have happily pay that again as we had a bottle of wine and couple of single glasses as well so overall it is a good value.More
I brought my lovely retired neighbours for a Sunday lunch. As the “ occupation” times seemed strict i.e. you must vacate your table after two hours, I booked the bar first for “ pre’s” and then the restaurant an hour later! So, that was 1pm...for 2pm, which seemed very civilised. We were shown to our table a tad early on the premise that the maitre d’ told us it was the best table in the restaurant and if someone wanted it before us, we could lose out. An offer not to be ignored. We moved to said table and with the glaring sunlight we were at a loss about what she meant. For the starter, I and one of my guests ordered the venison croquette and the two ladies ordered the special, scallops. The feedback on the scallops was positive, fair play. The croquettes were just okay; needed a bit more seasoning perhaps? We all opted for the roast beef for the main course. Now this is an interesting one; who has a special menu for Sunday lunch and the only roast attracts a £5 supplement. A tad strange, especially as it seems you’re just paying for the sides! The waiter made this point by stating if you’re not having the roast it is recommended that you have at least one side each or two sides to share per couple. Anyways the beef arrived. This is where it got interesting. Two slices of beef! Remember the beef attracts a supplement of £5 on a £55 per person set menu! Interesting perceived value! The roast potatoes were shocking! They were over roasted, had huge cracks in them and were like leather! The Yorkshire pudding could have broken a window! My guest asked for extra gravy. Fair play, they delivered the extra gravy, but my guest was told off by the waitress that the gravy is so rich that no one should require extra gravy. With the greatest of respect, if the chef is that precious about his work product he/she should not have plated the roast beef dinners we received! He who seeks equity should come with clean hands and all that! Also, to add insult to injury, we were told just after receiving our cheeseboard we had to vacate our table. That was at 4:10 pm. If you’re going to be strict about timings you need to be better with your service. That is, despite being taken to our table early, we waited for ages for our starter and then it was rushed! £700 + later, I feel that I had fast food experience ( average at best on the food front) and the highlight was the just the view! Disappointing if I’m honest!More
This is our favourite place in Lpool for a bespoke cocktail, so despite being fully booked, the concierge at reception secured us a table for an hour- which was ideal for us. Staff are very friendly and slick in attending and were pleased to make...us a unique tequila based on their smoky mezcal, rather than usual tequila. Their unique Aviation 34, which is not on the menu is sublime too- i can't recommend this place, staff and Ivans bar team highly enough. Terrific 180° views of Lpool at dusk too compliment a perfect experience- thank you.More
