Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Here again at my favourite Liverpool restaurant - hard for me not to have my usual rib eye, fries and bearnaise. Always cooked to perfection. My companion had the special which did look tasty - fillet steak and fondant potatoes. We had cocktails, the creamed...cabbage side and the bread and butter pudding. Not only is the food reliably good but the staff here are great - well-trained, friendly and helpful - they obviously know the menu very well and are never intrusive when you are dining. I'll be back in the New Year when I'm next in Liverpool.More

Had an amazing meal here yet again! Great food and even better service. Would definitely recommend the sharing platter, great value for money! 10/10 will come back!

Literally THE BEST steak you’ll ever have. My partner and I had the greedy cow between us with a few extra sides and I can’t fault a thing! If you’re in Liverpool anytime, this is definitely a place you have to visit at least once....Very friendly professional staff and I was always greeted with a smile. Also if you’re not driving, definitely try the mint expresso martini, you won’t be disappointed, it was delicious. I can not wait to visit againMore

Six of us Visited for my sons birthday. We had been put on a booth table of 4 with a small table added on to the end which was not the best. The staff could benefit from a uniform. The waiter was very unenthusiastic about...telling us the specials and throughout the whole meal was very low energy even when he was meant to singing happy birthday he just put the dessert down and said happy birthday and walked away. The meals we had were very nice but I think the staff could do with some training and the venue could do with a tidy up!More

Got the feeling of an overpriced student's restaurant. Steak was cooked as requested and had to be sent back twice besides it being a bad cut. Service wasn't very good and with booking online with a voucher we seemed to be a hindrance being waited...on. Even with a £100 voucher we were still managed to be charged over the voucher for one drink and a main each! Fair to say I wasn't impressedMore

We had the sharing cowshed platter, it's our second visit and I have to say on both occasions, the flat iron cut was extremely tough, also on both occasions we've tried to book for 6.30/7pm, to be told they're fully booked. We've been this evening...at 5.30pm, to leave at 7pm and it's empty, only another two tables being used. There's a lot of staff there and the front of house this evening needs some training on how to deal with the public. The one person serving the restaurant, was professional and pleasant but I have no idea what the rest of the staff were doing. On the whole, the rump and T bone cuts, the sides were exceptional but the ambiance and the service on the whole was very poor. Will not be returning for a third visit.More

We visited for the first time. What a antastic experience. From arrival the service was excellent. Staff were friendly fun and helpful. We had three courses, sharing starters and desert. Our food was prepared just as we asked and was delicious. Would just like to...add as a meat man that the veg dishes were amazing!! Prices were really undervaluing their quality and level of service. Thankyou cowshed. Hope to get back soon.More

What can I say? Best steak we’ve ever had. Greedy cow is really good value. Sides are amazing. In the words of the mighty Joey from Friends “ I have the meat sweats now”. Thanks so much!!!

Evening bookings over the weekend are limited so we booked a lunchtime slot, service excellent and the food is hard to fault (side of garlic mushrooms in truffle oil was memorable) Deserts although limited just as good as the mains, the only bit that was...a little off was the peppercorn sauce which tasted more like a beef gravy than a pepper sauce. Would recommend.More

Located in an old house on Seel Street they’ve got three dining rooms spread over two floors. We went for the Greedy Cow tasting menu featuring samples of flat iron, rump and ribeye. Great if you can’t decide which steak to order!

What an absolute gem this place is - possibly the best steaks me and my husband have tried. Can’t fault any of the sides we had either (fries, garlic mushrooms and greens in chorizo cream) and the garlic bread start was sooo tasty. Can’t wait...to come back again.More

What a wonderful place for our family of beef lovers! Lovely staff, delicious food, perfect portion size that left us full but not heavy. Will definitely come back again. My son (birthday boy) have said that was by far the best (rare) steak he has...ever had! Thank you!More

Surely this should be a question asked directly to the restaurant and not to reviewers on TripAdvisor. However I have never seen the restaurant do discounts they are so popular why would they need to?

You can park on Berry street it’s pay and display. I think it’s free after 6.30 pm. It’s a couple of minutes to seel street depending where you get a place.
