I went here with my friend and we had the sharing platter which was three steaks plus two sides for £42 which we thought was an absolute bargain. the cocktails where amazing but this is what would bring the price of the bill up, however knowing that we still ordered for each because they were so tasty. Venue is super cute and sweet and has 4 table booths per floor so is perfect for an intimate dinner. The food was so tasty my steak was cooked perfect. I would definitely recommend this place to others for a delicious steak in the city.

We had an overnight stay in Liverpool and as usual it was down to me to organise the evening meal, well i hit 'Bullseye', our meal (all had steaks) was welled cooked, the service was very good even though our waitress was obviously fairly new, but she was very attentive all the same. The prices were very reasonable, probably half what you would pay in a swanky restaurant. Highly recommend

As we were saving 50% on the food bill we decided we were going for the more expensive option of Filet steak at £22 / £11 Sooo! Pleased with our meal choice the steak was cooked perfectly of our requested liking, The steak was melt in the mouth and a good size for a fillet steak, We ordered 3 different sides to go with our mains, Chips, Mushrooms & caramelised squash, Not sure what the mushrooms were favoured with but the taste was incredible! as was the squash, Chips were pretty standard but nice enough. Enjoyed the wine to... Love the charm they have created in this old house/ building... Looking forward to a second visit some time in the future.

We waited ages to get a table here and were really looking forward to it.However, the starter selection was very limited and my husband had the croquettes special which was tasty but at £6 for four small balls it was expensive. My husband had the fillet steak special at £30 which he enjoyed and I had the ribeye well done with sides of fries and cabbage .The blue cheese sauce and cabbage sides were delicious and my steak was tasty but had a bit of fat which I couldn’t chew. I had the Nutella cheese cake which was lovely but again dessert choice was limited. We had a lovely Portuguese red wine and at £24 a bottle it was reasonable. For two courses each,a bottle of wine and a coffee the bill was £96.To sum up, I would say the steaks are the stars of the show with the starters and mains a bit of an after thought which is a shame.

Had a wonderful dinner here for my birthday. Everything we ordered was delicious and as someone from London I found it to be very good value for money. The building has a quirky layout. You enter the front door of an old Victorian terrace house to be greeted by the bar and hostess stand and the restaurant seating is split over three levels of the old house. People with mobility issues should bear this in mind. Rooms were cosy and yet the booth style seating meant that it still felt very private. One of my favourite meals of the trip.

Came to this steak restaurant twice last year (2019) once in May and seeing as we’d enjoyed it so much the first time came again in June. 4 of us came me, my partner, his sister and her fiancé arriving a little early on both occasions. The first time we were able to wait in the very small bar area at the entrance but the second time there was no room for us so we had to go away and come back. The restaurant is set out over a few floors in different rooms. It’s quite quirky and sparsely decorated but it works. The place has a good atmosphere and the staff are really friendly, attentive and lovely to chat with. Cocktails are nice and the selection of steaks is good with some sides. Prices are very good and unless you’re veggie and go for the cauliflower steak the cheapest steak is about £11 and is very nice, sides are at an extra but each one only a few quid at most all well worth the money! Would recommend.

This restaurant was everything and more that I wanted for my partner's birthday celebrations. I booked quite far in advance, letting them know it was my partners birthday and when they brought our deserts out they put a candle into the desert for his birthday and sang too. This was all without asking and I felt it was a great touch. The food was amazing - one of the best steaks I have ever eaten. The sides were great too. And the truffle bread starter! Everything was tasty I wanted to eat it all over again. 10/10 I would love to come back here. The service was also exceptional. Thank you for a great evening.

If you’ve checked out their website you’ll know this is a small restaurant located in an old terraced house, so a nice cosy vibe. The bar area is quite small and the drink selection is adequate but a little limited (no tomato juice for Bloody Marys). Tables in the back room are quite close to each other so difficult not to overhear other people. The menu is remarkably simple with a small selection of starter dishes, the duck croquettes we shared were delicious. The selection of steaks is ideal for steak lovers and naturally we choose the rib-eyes because we appreciate the extra flavour a bit more fat brings to the cut. The steaks were perfectly cooked and we choose the mushrooms as the perfect accompaniment. In our view there should be a choice of thick cut chips as well as fries because the fries had too many small crispy bits in them. No time for dessert on this occasion but we’ll be going back for sure. Highly recommended and fantastic value for money.

Turned up and although we hadn't made a booking the staff very kindly managed to sort us a table. Ordered the special croquettes and halloumi bites to start. Croquettes were duck with an orange alioli and were exceptional, would definitely urge visitors to order them. Me and my boyfriend both went for steak with chips and Bearnaise and the food was all delicious, excellently presented, generous portions and very reasonably priced. Waitress was also very helpful and attentive. Overall couldn't recommend highly enough. We will definitely return.

I brought 5 friends from Oxford to visit my home city of Liverpool, I booked the Cowshed as it was on Trip Advisors Top 10 list and it did not disappoint. The service was very good and my freinds could not believe the friendly welcome we received. The food was beautiful, we oredered a selection of starters and each had different steaks and sauces, everything was cooked to perfection and tasted fantastic. We had a late meal as the restaurant was fully booked up until our 9.45 sitting but it was worth the wait and the atmosphere was great, a relaxed vibe with a cosy feeling. This place is good quality at a very affordable price.

My partner and I have been dying to try here for a while but always left it to late to book a table so I pre booked for his birthday meal and we were not disappointed! We went for the greedy cow and choose blue cheese sauce (so tasty) and pepper sauce with fries and waffles & egg for our sides. Because we are actual greedy cows we ordered more sides; cabbage chorizo cream and garlic mushrooms. I honestly could sit and tell you how amazing each of these dishes are but it still wouldn’t do them justice. The chefs here are outstanding and everything that we ate was delicious. *our server was good, but it would’ve been a nice touch to have been told which steaks were which when given them. My boyfriend and I preferred different steaks each out of the three but to order them again we wouldn’t know which we had. Thank you for a fab birthday meal, we can’t wait to come back and try more!!

Visited cowshed a couple of times and the experience gets better and better. Ordered the rump with pepper sauce and is always cooked perfectly and tastes delicious. Know what you do and do it well is what cowshed does. Staff are always lovely and helpful. An absolute must visit but book well in advance.

We booked Cowshed online after reading reviews and we were not disappointed. We visited Liverpool to surprise our daughter on her birthday and all staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We arrived early with balloons for the table and the staff on duty gave us the opportunity to ensure our daughter would not know we were there until the last minute. One of the servers advised that he would come in first to give us the heads up when she arrived so we could film her reaction. The meal was super. Once ordered we didn't have long to wait until the food arrived. No one in the party had any complaints, all steaks were superb and cooked just as we had requested. Desserts were equally as good as mains and our daughter's came with a candle for her birthday. After paying the bill, which was good value for money, our server arrived with a free shot of licor 43 for the birthday girl. We had a great night and they definitely went above and beyond to make our daughter feel special on her birthday. We will definitely return when next in Liverpool and will recommend to others.

Enjoyed an excellent meal at this intimate and comfortable restaurant. The staff were very friendly, obliging and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. They only serve steaks which were delicious and well cooked just as ordered and reasonably priced. Best to book because the restaurant is small.

Next to The Raz (Blue Angel) this place was incredible. Firstly every member of staff we encountered were polite, welcoming, friendly, hospitable- they made the visit that much better. The food, was some of the best steak we have ever had. We opted for the greedy cow, see pics, cooked to perfection rib eye, rumb and flat iron. Just melted in your mouth. The cabbage side was a huge hit as well. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.
