We went there for a date night. The food was absolutely lovely. The steaks were flawless, but the best bit was definitely the sauces and sides! We had garlic and cream source and pepper sauce, both were divine. Garlic mushrooms and fries were soooooo tasty...More

There's no other word for it to be honest. Service and food both excellent. Rooms are small but still lots of atmosphere. Pics on wall a little creepy but only as I'm not used to the art of cows heads on a human body. Would...More

Had a table booked for 10pm as this was the only time available a couple of days prior to getting to Liverpool, a good sign I thought. Had a few scoops along the street at Pogue Malones which was a cracking boozer, arrived bang on...More

Visited here early evening for dinner. This is a lovely old townhouse that has been converted to a restaurant - there are a number of small, well laid out, rooms on different levels. The service was friendly and efficient. The starters were ok, I had...More

I visited the Cowshed just before Christmas and I was blown away by the quality of the steak here! The menu is big but not overwhelming, the sides selection is better than anywhere I've been before, and the steak is cooked to perfection. I had...More

Fully agree with first answer. I have a relative in a wheelchair and The Cowshed is one restaurant he stays away from due to stairs at front.
