Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We had a delicious brunch. The Cafe is cosy, beautiful and clean and the service efficient. I would definitely recommend and come back here when I'm in Liverpool.

Good food, good value, clean. This is a popular little place as it filled up quickly. Ladies check out the toilets. Would definitely eat here again.

Absolutely loved this cafe, had to visit twice during our two day visit to Liverpool. Staff are very accommodating and looked after me with my food allergies. The food was amazing as were the drinks. All very good value for money as well. What a...‘Diamond’ in the sky!More

We visited here for breakfast. The cafe is clean and well decorated in a beetles theme. The food was nice but some parts were over cooked (hash browns and burnt bacon). I’d also rate the value for money as average as some items are on...the expensive side. Worth a visit if you don’t mind paying a premium for the beetles link.More

Great tasty breakfast which sets you up for the day. A little tucked out of the way but we’ll worth looking at as an alternative breakfast.

Went to Lucy in the sky for breakfast. Not a very big place but has a nice vibe to it. Service was good and they were very prompt. Was very busy in the morning for breakfast. Depending when, you may need to wait for a...table. We managed to get the last one at the time we went. Food came out lovely and hot and tasted good. Price was reasonable and would recommend itMore

We picked it for having my sister's name. But it turned out to be a fabulous little spot. Loads of personality. Fun decor. Great service. Great quality food!

I’m not one to ever write bad reviews but I feel like this needs addressing and I can’t find an email address to get in contact with them. But last Saturday me my friend and my two little sister aged 7 and 8 visited Lucy...in the sky (we were so looking forward to going) and granted the door had fallen off so I get they would have been stressed but that does not warrant a member of staff humiliating me in front of the whole cafe (which was full and leaving my two little sister feeling uncomfortable) As we walked in their was another family just sitting down so we took a seat next to them and I took my sister to toilet (we didn’t see the door as it glass and it was lay against the wall on the floor, we only noticed as we heard the staff on the till mention it to other staff) I then sat down and a member of staff came over to take our order and everything was fine. After my food came out, another member of staff came to the front of the table in front of the other family ( and the full cafe) and started to say to us “Excuse me are youse not together.” Referring to us and the other family. We said we wasn’t and the member of staff became really passive aggressive in her voice and was like “well you should have not be served, the doors fell off and you shouldn’t have been served, this family was here before you and you shouldn’t have been served and now your food is cooking first and now this family have to wait longer for their food to come out.” I was so confused by this comment as I wasn’t sure how it was my fault for been served by a member of their staff and how it was my fault that our food was cooking faster then the other family’s that is on the staff not me! We was left feeling confused and humiliated as this was boardcasted for the whole cafe to see and at this point my sisters food had already been brought out (she then started to panic and said can I eat this or are we in trouble!) I told her to carrying on eating and not to panic both my sisters because distressed and embarrassed as everyone was looking at us! The member of staff then began to profusely apologise to the other family saying how sorry she was for all of that, again making it out as if it was our fault and all we had done is being served by a member of their staff no one said at the start we couldn’t be served! The member of staff who had previously embarrassed us as then continued to come over to me again to say “sorry about that but you really shouldn’t have been served and that family now have to wait longer for their food! Now if she had have just came quietly over to me to begin with I would have completely understood and there would have been no issue but the fact she felt the need to announce it in front of all of the cafe for all to hear and look at just humiliated us all and for no reason this was on their staff not us no one should ever have to feel this away especially when they have children and this then effects them! We then felt we had to rush our food and get out to save any further embarrassment! But the staff member came over to the head of the table (to the other family and was apologising again, still looking over at us, and began to engage in conversation with them and offering them extra hot and cold drinks (after telling us they were turning off the hot drinks machine) she again did this right infront of us not once offering us extra drinks! And what we thought would be a nice end of a treat day for my sisters birthday for her to turn around and say to me “I don’t like it here anymore can we go home” broke my heart as it was her that was so excited to go! And once we got home after Disney on Ice and asked about her day this was the first thing she brought up to our mum! Now like I said I’m not one to write bad reviews as I feel businesses like Lucy’s in the sky need celebrating but this has caused too much distress to both two adults and two young girls!More
