Great atmosphere and beautiful food. It can be a wee bit expensive and if you are not careful the little plates can add up. But the variety of food is great. They were brilliant with the children.

Liverpool is blessed with such a huge range of excellent places these days it's hard to choose between them all. But for Tapas, although other places are good, Salt House is always just a little better. Well balanced menu, good portion sizes and not overprices.

Mum and i went here for a lunch . We had wonderful gluten free tapas with fantastic wine. We laughed with the staff and had an afternoon together we will never forget. Even though it wasn't a special occasion we were made to feel like it was.

The food is typically Spanish ,which we wanted, considering there wasn't a Spanish chef to be seen. None of the staff spoke Spanish which is a shame as I like to practice my Spanish. The Malaga Fried Fish should be renamed as Malaga calamari as the dish only contained one prawn and two pieces of codays and an overabundance of... More

We visited this restaurant with friends around 10pm. It had been a recommendation but we were sadly disappointed. Food was bland, not much to choose from at all. On the other hand drinks were amazing especially the sangria. The service was good but I will not be returning.

Tried to get in Browns initially but it was rammed.Having been before to Salt House and as it was nearby we thought we would give it a try. Also full but advised to have a drink at the bar and order our food and a table should be available.Within 15 minutes we were sat down and the tapas dishes began to... Tapas is often a bit disappointing I find but this place is really nice. The food is delicious, lots to choose from and all freshly cooked. I wouldn't call it super authentic but it's definitely tasty, we all enjoyed it and the desert we had was fab too. Service was very very good, offered things before we needed to ask... More

We popped in here for drink - great atmosphere and authentic feel - tiled front bar and huge hams hanging behind the bar - see photo. We did not eat on this occasion but good choice of tapas - even a lunchtime deal for £12.95 for choice of 3 tapas and crusty bread - really good value. Risotto sounded amazing... More

Went this past New Year's Eve and was pleasantly surprised. I generally avoid dining out New Year's Eve, or on any major holiday, as food and service tends to be rushed and substandard. Salt House Tapas defied that and more. I booked a large group (11) for their last seating that night. It was a set menu, served family style,... More
