Went for lunch with my husband on a quiet afternoon. Ordered Taw Valley cheddar and pickle on seeded foccacia with skin on fries. My husband ordered burger with thick cut chips. After what seemed like quite a long wait our food was served. My husband's order was correct. My order had the thick cut chips and a white doughy roll.... More

My friends and I have been coming to the Punchbowl for about 10 years for our monthly lunch and catch up. We've got so comfortable there that we hope we'll be going for many more decades! The food is good, value for money and the staff are very welcoming. It's lovely inside, clean and well-maintained.

I have visited this site since I was a little girl, the original pub has been extended and they have kept some of the character of the existing old coaching inn. sadly its owned by a brewery company so its pub food at the top end of pub food budget! Great in the summer when you can enjoy dining outside

I haven't been here since my parents sat me and my sister outside with crisps and shandy while they went inside for a quick drinks. It has changed massively in 45 years! But it is still a nice place. We took Mum for Sunday lunch. Excellent food all nicely presented. Clean plates all round. 2 courses with drinks, with everyone... More

We eat here occasionally, mainly for Sunday Roast Platter which is always good. Popped in late Saturday afternoon. Warm greeting, good service, nice Rib-eye well cooked, our son had a smashing pizza. Thanks.

Went for Sunday lunch, food cold, 4 tiny burnt roast potatoes. Bad management only one nice member of staff, barman mark.had to move our own dirty plates to an empty table waitress kept walking past ignoring us and a pile of empty glasses, wouldn't recommend this poorly run restaurant to anyone.

We went here to celebrate my son's new job as the menu was extensive. We didn't bother with starters just mains and puddings. My son and his Dad had the roast beef and the meat was fatty. They both felt the the food was bland. I had fish and chips and the fish was all batter. A plus was that... More

Hi Marie, Thank you for your feedback from your visit from Sunday 26th Feb. We're terribly sorry that the food wasn't to our usual standard on this visit. We sold some 12k of Beef yesterday and nothing but great feedback all day, so I'm surprised to hear that your guest's was fatty. One can only presume that this may have... More

Visited the Punchbowl today with my husband for lunch, prior to going on a local walk. I ordered the Turkey roast, two of the roast options were already sold out, despite it being around 1pm, and seemingly quiet, and my husband ordered a burger. The service was reasonable, the food was nothing exciting, my roast potatoes were barely warm, however,... More
