Just had the best Christmas Turkey dinner ever (and I'm 65). Plus, the Maltesers Crème Brulé was amazing. The staff were lovely too. Highly recommend this for your Christmas meal if you can get in.

Birthday visit - disappointed!! We had booked a table in advance. Initial greeting was fine, we were shown to our table and ordered some drinks. Water was brought to the table with glasses. I ordered half a lemonade and was given a mixer type can...£1.80? Which was horrible but as it was so small just drank it quietly. Ordered 2 starters and 3 main meals. Starters were ok. We asked what the vegetables were as the dinner is plated up. Requested no cauliflower cheese which is a strange one to have as many people don’t like or may be allergic to cheese? Anyway thought we might be given more of the other veg! Omg I’m not a big eater but as I write this review I’m absolutely starving! So expensive for what you get! Very very small portions. They have even halved the size of the Yorkshire puddings since October! When we had an amazing time! But we had a lovely server last time which also added to the experience! This time, she just did her job and that was it! I had a dessert which was lovely but they even got this order wrong initially! Very disappointed. We have visited this establishment on a number of occasions but unsure now if we will returnMore
M OG soggy fries Took my for a meal they took us to a table that was dirty filthy serviettes under the table meal arrived burger under cooked fries where wet and soggy what a waste of money very poor
Another superb 3 course meal served up by fantastic staff, thoroughly enjoyable experience, will be going again soon, recommend people give it a visit, you won't be disappointed
Hadn't booked, but managed to snag a table! Took advantage of the lunchtime offer menu, which is on until 6.00 pm, 2 courses for £16.95 Plenty of choice. Looked after by the lovely Eilish (sorry if that's spelt wrong), nothing was too much trouble. Food...was well presented, good portion size and absolutely delicious. The chicken pot pie is soooo good. We will happily dine here again.More
Best Sunday roast!! Beef and gammon to die for, roast potatoes were also lovely and crisp & gravy with lots of flavour! Finished with the sticky toffee pudding which was delicious. We were a party of 7 & each and everyone of us loved our...meal. Thank you hanover street social we can’t wait to come backMore
Awful food awful service. Place full of fruit flies. Dried up Sunday lunch. Dry beef. Yorkshire. Kept warm from hours ago. Roast spuds dry n rock hard. Staff couldn’t care less. All other tables were getting the same rubbish served up. Shameful AVOID AVOID AVOID
Had a colleague’s leaving party here. The food was excellent and the restaurant accommodated a large party really well. Service, food and location was really good. The place was full and totally buzzing, a great time was had by all 👍
We had the beef Sunday roast . 1 adult and 1 child. The potatoes were only luke warm and tasteless . My granddaughter did not eat any of her potatoes . The roast beef looked and tasted like it came from a packet . Very...little veg on the plate , gravy tasteless , the only thing on the plate which was quite nice was the Yorkshire pudding. At £25 for 2 courses this very poor . I had Apple crumble with ice cream which was ok . The service was in our case terrible. We sat for 20 minutes before any one came over to us and then I had to call out to a waitress who was passing . I did say we had been waiting for some time but there was no apology either. I would avoid this place in future .More
Absolutely awful Sunday roast, raw swede in carrot and swede mash. Worst attempt at yorkshire puddings ever, the only reason I’m rating poor and not terrible is because we actually had the main courses comped which was well done by the management team. Would not...recommend the sunday roast.More
We had the set lunch menu, 2 courses each. Really good, quality food. Decent price. Would go again. Fish, chips, peas and sticky toffee pudding with ice cream and steak and chips, same dessert.
4 bus passes for booked lunch. Restaurant quickly filled up. Service was prompt and friendly. 2 couse lunch was excellent value especially goats cheese starter. Main course fish and chips was to a good standard. Drinks were on the expensive side and the toilets a...trek down flights of stairs. Would certainly recommend for central Liverpool.More
Black pudding with hash brown and poached egg with a mustard sauce was fabulous. The pork belly pretty great too! Visited on a Thursday evening, restaurant around half full. Service was fabulous. I would definitely eat there again.
As a non-English person, I have only tried roast dinner on family occasions. We decided to try it in the restaurant, and we chose this one for it. I won't be trying in any other restaurant as this was 10/10. Big portion, great gravy, great...meat, great potatoes... There is nothing I could pick on. Amazing service and even the price - which was a little expensive, considering overall the size of the dish and taste of it - the price was fine as well.More
We dined here twice during our stay in Liverpool. This restaurant was recommended by our hotel’s receptionist. The food, drinks and service were very good. On our first night, we enjoyed the chicken breast, which was tasty. On our return, we opted for the roast...of the dinner which was good British fare. It was busy so bookings are recommended.More
