We've been a number of times and love coming back. The food is really nice, proper sausages not the cheap crap type. The pancakes are light and fluffy. For those who don't like their beans next to their food you will be fine as they...are served in a little pot. Well recommended place!More

What a smashing spot in Allerton. Great coffee. Brilliant pancakes. I love the poached eggs and hollandaise sauce personally. Independent and a place that values community and inclusion. I go too much probably but it’s a gem of a place.

Went here today for Fathers Day Breakfast. It was quite busy when we arrived. We sat down and ordered our food and drinks together. After 25 mins we received our food. Fifty mins in still no food. Food arrived for the adults after 55 mins....Still no pancakes for my daughter. I had to ask for my toast that came with my breakfast. Still didn't come so cancelled it. Finally after 65 mins my daughters pancakes come. No apology for the long wait. The food wasn't even worth the wait. I think this was the worst eating out experience I have ever had. I understand sometimes there are busy periods but the staff normally communicate this. Pancakes were fresh to be fair but so they should be after 65 min wait.More

Fantastic party for our 7 year old daughter - she and her friends enjoyed decorating their pancakes (and eating them more!!) Hannah was fab at organizing everything, very accommodating and a saint for entertaining a bunch of hyper 7 year olds so we could just...sit and have a coffee - what more can a parent want! Discovered this little gem whilst staying in the area for the Eurovision. Loved it so much that I came here both mornings for breakfast. I had the porridge-probably the nicest porridge I've had in a while. They give you a bowl of fruit with it...too. It was perfect. So many places skimp on fruit. The menu is brilliant with lots of pancake and waffle combinations as well as hot English breakfast and gluten free options. There really is something for everyone. They also serve lunch and smoothies. You'll be spoiled for choice. The staff are super friendly and helpful. They took the time to give me tips on things to see and do during my time in the city. I felt very welcome. The place is just cute and quirky with lots of colour and an adorable courtyard with bird boxes and feeders. Great biodiversity. You really feel this is a business that cares about its community impact. If I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely be back.More

Not very interesting eating, I went in at 15:15 and was told we are closing soon so no food but you can order a drink. I only wanted a piece of cake ! The sign outside, says the don’t close till 4 o’clock , I...suggest they alter the times on the signMore

Upon our visit I fancied the sound of the ‘roasted vegetable savoury pancake’. I asked the waitress what that contained and she advised me courgettes, peppers, red onion, and sun-dried tomatoes. Sounded delicious so I ordered that. Unfortunately what I got was about 85% undressed...lettuce and cucumber, with the remaining actual roasted vegetables. In what world is lettuce and cucumber a roasted vegetable?! Very disappointed unfortunately probably won’t be returning. Waitress was absolutely lovely however, and probably the most positive thing from our visit although no food / drink check back done.More

Called in on Mother's day, a group of six, on the off chance we could get a table and luckily one had just come empty. Service and food was excellent.

If you are ever in Allenton, Liverpool then this is the place to go too. Great name because it is simply a very interesting place. Quirky, warm and inviting with friendliness abound. Pancakes were top draw, homemade and delicious. My partner (husband) him/he, loved his...scrambled egg and beans on toast. Hot tasty and huge portions. It's not often you talk about the toilets but I'm going to here because there is something inside for everyone who may have forgotten anything. Very impressive.More
