This is a little gem of a pub in central Liverpool. Although not extensive, the menu will satisfy most. The food is freshly cooked to order and served piping hot. I had a surf/turf dish, rump steak and Cajun chicken with chips, onion rings and tomato for £6.95. As in most Liverpool pubs the beer is also reasonable and served... More

More a pub than a restaurant. Food is ok but it's more a pub with drinks at reasonable prices A glass of house red and a pint of Stella for £6.80 it's been that price for the last 2 years!

Didn't eat here but called on for a beer with friends. Nicely decorated inside and the beers good and not to expensive. Friendly atmosphere and good staff.

Perhaps The Old Post Office is under new management/new chef but our meal was dreadful, steak could not be cut through even though was supposed to be medium rare, no onion rings on plate, when we inquired the response was, oh we have had none all day! Diners at a nearby table were told there was no grilled tomato! Wow... More

The pub itself is superb with a nice light and airy interior with fantastic beer and pub ephemera plastered all over the wall's,a nice serving bar and plenty of seating options all housed in a splendid looking... I have never written a bad review in my life but today was truly shocking. Firstly orders a mixed grill only to be told there was no mixed grill available. Ok first day after two bank holidays I can live with that. Orders fish and chips, cheese toasty and chips plus two drinks. We paid and I am left while... More

Good pub grub in an old fashioned pub. Off the main drag, but not hard to find. Nice place for a lunch.

Pro's Friendly staff Decent prices Heart of city, but still hidden away Con's Tired and lacking in character Make dominated Mostly older clientele Not a bad pub, but needs to do more to compete in a challenging narket
