Great local pub! Lad at the bar with penguin jumper (Charles?) was a great bar man and Emily was a lovely hostess. Kept us entertained all night and made us a cracking Baileys Espresso Martini too! Will be visiting again!

T’was a cold Decembers night, and Charlie and Emily were great in providing a festive atmosphere with their array of fantastic cocktails and ales. Will certainly frequent this establishment!!

Cosy, Charming and Food to die for 👏 You must book ! We were served by Danielle, absolutely bob on. Her and the teams attention is second to none by many establishment standards. Their attention to detail starts with the Pubs carpet. You sink. The...food was delicious from start to finish, Ham Hock Fritters were incredulous. The ribeye main dreamy. My god. Then the cherry crumble just an absolute pleasure. Beautiful cosy pub with like minded folks, no loons. True Gastro Indeed.More
Been here a few times for roast dinners and breakfast it has never disappointed just had the full English and it’s the best one in Liverpool
Thirteen of us had dinner for my in-laws 60th anniversary. The whole experience was great from start to finish. We had a lovely table, food was great as was the atmosphere. Emily was totally amazing and she not only took the booking etc but really...looked after us the whole time we were there. Literally nothing was too much trouble. Emily and her team made us feel special and looked after. I would highly recommend and we will definitely be returning. A big thank you from all of us.More
My wife booked the Blackburne for a Sunday Roast on 22nd October. The venue is everything a pub should be - great decor, lovely staff, dog friendly, a good beer selection and fantastic food. The area surrounding the pub is beautiful. I had the venison...and beef shine terrine starter, which was extremely tasty. The roast lamb was probably the best I've ever had. Perfectly cooked, plenty of meat and the accompanying vegetables were divine. The pub is ideally located. We live around 45 minutes from Liverpool but will definitely drive over on a Sunday in the future.More
Have just been here for a family gathering. Family had come over from The States so there were 15 of us. After a bit of an initial hiccup about seating, we had a wonderful time. The service was excellent and the food was amazing. I...had a vegetarian, Mediterranean Tart with all the Sunday roast trimmings. It was yummy. The full choice of roast dinners were had, all delicious. Doggy bags were requested and provided. A lovely atmosphere and brilliant staff. Thankyou for soo much for providing the backdrop to a rare family get together. Will be back in for a cheeky glass of wine soon xxxMore
Very welcoming abode in Liverpool. Have stayed at several hotels over the years and this is certainly one of the best by far. The rooms were beautifully decorated. Particularly impressed with the wooden tree stump cuttings in the bathroom. I can see that much effort...has been put into designing the rooms. The beds were very comfy. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The owner Stephen is a very nice chap. Very kindly stored my suitcase in a secure place whilst the room was being prepared. Food was very tasty. Would definitely recommend the Ham Hock Fritter which was incredibly tender. Had a strawberry flavoured craft beer which I have to say is one of the nicest beers I've ever had. Will definitely be staying again in the near future.More
The staff really care every single one of them. We had the roast and it was huge plus ordered the extra side of cauli cheese and stuffing. It was excellent. The place was packed but we didn't wait long and we will definitely be returning...very soon. Thank youMore
My mum and I recently visited the Blackburne for Sunday lunch, and were both blown away by the food. We both had the roast lamb (pink) with all the sides – cauliflower cheese, stuffing, pigs in blankets, and extra gravy. With the affogato for dessert....Everything was cooked to perfection and the meal ranks among the best I've ever had. The staff were friendly and efficient, and the service was excellent. Try the margaritas! We'll definitely be back soon.More
Fabulous find at the bottom of our road. Really lovely staff, flavoursome food and well priced drinks. Great mix of customers. Thank you Abi, Jacob and Emily who were serving us and Tom who cooked a great dinner for us. First visit, will be back...next time we are in Liverpool.More
The Blackbourne Arms has the most friendly efficient staff in Liverpool. We all ate there and i had the special main which was Sea Bass on a bed of bacon and leek risotto, probably one of the most tastiest meals i have enjoyed out this...year! We were not finished yet because from 8:30 we were treated to a singer who had the pub bouncing. I brilliant night was had by all i cannot recommend this gastro pub highly enough.More

Proper good Sunday roast! Lovely roast potatoes and tender pink beef veg very much on the Al dente side which I like and cauliflower cheese how it should be ! Tasted of cheese and not sloppy mush! Bit on the pricey side £29 for a...roast with the cauliflower and a large glass of house red. Lovely inside nice staff, didn’t see a beer garden though but they have a few tables outside if your happy to look out at the roadMore
