Went for breakfast with my boyfriend, after finding this cafe on Trip Advisor as didn’t fancy over priced, basic food on the Albert Dock, and was not disappointed by Cook Street Cafe. The big full breakfast was delicious and filling, the pot of tea filled the massive cup for one perfectly and the coffee was strong and hot and everything was super clean and tidy - and for £14.40 for 2 breakfasts, toast, a pot of tea and a black Americano is very reasonable. And the people who run it are so friendly.
When I’m back home in Liverpool I’ll deffo be visiting again.

My friends kindly bought me an afternoon Tea to be delivered during lockdown as a little treat. It came in a good strong box. A good selection of fresh sandwiches and the cakes; WOW! They were amazing. The box was for 2 people and I could only manage half and I was full. I’m having the rest today with my pot of tea again. Thanks Team. I’m gonna be a regular for this afternoon tea delivery. 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️

I will keep this short and sweet. Absolutely fantastic afternoon tea that is delivered to your door. They do a box for 2 or a box for 4 which has additional items. The box for 2 is plenty and you will have some leftover. Very generous portion and great value for money. I’m going back again and again and again.

I wanted to show some special people I was thinking about them.Saw on Facebook that they were doing afternoon tea/buffet boxes. I ordered two afternoon tea boxes as a surprise treat. The recipients were absolutely thrilled with them. The sandwiches were lovely and fresh and with a good filling, the mouthwatering cakes were just so delicious (apparently the meringue was the best ever tasted). Fantastic value for money The lady who takes orders is really friendly on the phone. I have ordered two more today for different people and I know they will be thrilled with their yummy treat too . Definitely going to pay a visit when I can .

This down-to-earth traditional style café was very close to our hotel, so we chose to visit for breakfast. We had a pot of tea for two and two toasted tea cakes which we really enjoyed. For a total cost of £6 it was far better value than the hotel breakfast.

What a find thanks to a quick google search. Absolutely lovely little cafe with some amazing food! Cooked to perfection & perfect portion sizes. Would recommend this to anyone coming to Liverpool, the lady and gentleman who run the cafe were very friendly and welcoming. The price was amazing, not even £15 for 2 large breakfasts and drinks!! I’ve paid a lot more for breakfast that have been awful in comparison to this one! Better than any chain restaurant. When we come back to Liverpool we will without a doubt be back! Thank you again Cook Street Coffee!

What a absolute winner, as you walk up you’ve got smells wafting down the road of food you know is going to be good & will no doubt hit the spot and then you find out your not disappointed, with food quality, presentation or price.
I would recommend anyone that fancies a full breakfast or even a bacon & egg on toast to give this place a try, there are 14 seats in this little cafe so if you nip in your party of 2, 4 or even 6 will be able to grab a seat, providing it isn’t busy & believe me it can be as it did when l was there.
Now this place isn’t one of the big pub eatery’s & that’s what makes this cafe so much more.

Hadca fantastic cooked breakfast here. Freshly cooked from scratch, tasty, and served with the biggest cup of tea I've ever seen. Genuinely friendly service and excellent value for money.

My partner and i stumbled across this cafe by chance. I'm so glad we did. It is an independently run cafe by husband and wife. It is small (about 6 tables) and provide takeaway service. Lots of office workers were coming in and ordering for later to pick up. We both ordered a jacket potato... The portions were huge but the quality was amazing! The jacket potato had lashings of butter and i went for the chicken and bacon filling, this came with a large salad... Simply divine! My partner had the beans and cheese (with salad) and he couldn't get enough They did not skimp on the cheese! It was one one the cheapest meals also that we have had in Liverpool. The cafe was clean and you could see everything getting made which i like.
Next time we are in Liverpool this will be our go to for lunch!

If you're in the mood for a classic, hearty British breakfast that won't break the bank, look no further than this charming little spot in the heart of Liverpool. For under £5, I was treated to a small but satisfying fry up that hit the spot perfectly. (I ordered the small fry)*
The atmosphere here is warm and welcoming, with a cozy, neighborhood cafe vibe that makes you feel right at home. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring a delightful dining experience from start to finish
For an unbeatable breakfast value in a cozy setting, this hidden gem is an absolute must-visit for any fan of the classic full English fry up. I'll definitely be returning the next time I'm in Liverpool.

Popped in here on the strength of a local who recommended it highly, and to read the Trip Adviser reviews.
It IS, as the said local said to us “a proper old school greasy spoon, but don’t let that put you off” as I actually tend to prefer “greasy spoon” cafes (in my opinion they’re nearly always good portions of well cooked, good value food, and the added bonus of meeting true local folk.
It didn’t let us down two BIG fried breakfast, with proper doorstep sized sliced bread for toast and two lattes a VERY reasonable £15.80🤩
Ok so it’s small, not glitzy or flash BUT, for character, good food at a very reasonable price it can’t be beaten👍🏻

Searching trip advisor, I came across this little gem. Very small cafe with around 6 tables but do not let that fool you! We were welcomed by a lovely lady. Our orders were taken as soon as we were ready. Nothing was too much trouble. The latte was absolutely stunning. Food arrived and was so fresh it was still hot when I was taking the last mouthful. The breakfast was outstanding, I had poached eggs and they were the best I've ever had! Everything was cooked to perfectionand all for £5.50 just 👌. This cafe is a hidden gem in the heart of Liverpool and I can't recommend it enough. Would definitely go again if we find ourselves in Liverpool

Popped in for something to eat and drink while I was waiting for my bus to arrive.
It's only a small place but it's nice and the staff were really friendly
I had a pot of tea, which was lovely and bacon on toast. It was presented really nicely which was a nice touch - like a tray of sandwiches. The bacon was really tasty with just the right amount of tomato sauce. I really enjoyed it
Cost was very reasonable too. I'll definitely be going back if I'm in the area.

Place has recently been refurbished and redecorated and is now very smart. Very homely service.

I was staying around the corner in a hotel for a few days. I had looked up beforehand options for breakfast not in the hotel. This was about a 3min walk away. Close to Matthew Street , famous for the Cavern Club.
Good reviews from this site is always what I look for. I wanted a full English but vegetarian version which they don't advertise on their menu. I walked in just after 8am when they open. It isn't a huge cafe but a few tables. There was a group of about 6 who I think must have just come in before me.
There was a team of two behind the counter. I asked the lady about a vegetarian options and she told me that they can do it, they just don't have any vegetarian meat alternatives i.e. no veg sausages and such like. I went for it with a cappuccino to drink. After 15 mins or so, a huge plate arrived to my table with a second plate containing 2 pieces of THICK buttered toast. I was given 2 hash browns, 2 fried eggs, a bowl of baked beans, fried onions, mushrooms, and fried tomatoes. It looked yummy! My initial thinking was that there was no way I would be able to finish it, but I hate to waste food, especially as it tasted really good. I slowly managed it, and I am so glad that it did. I didn't need to eat for the rest of the day! It was very cheap, £7.90 for all that including my coffee. Certainly beats what my hotel was offering, more basic for £7. Excellent value, but also really tasted really good too! I can't recommend it enough, Thank you for the people who cooked and served my food that morning!
