Came here with my partner whilst on a weekend away in Liverpool . We hadn't booked but thought we would try to get in and they said they would have a table ready in 30 minutes so we went have after that and got seated. We had a table upstairs but the atmosphere was good and lovely choices on the... More

We went there for dinner on a Friday night. We did not book and thought that we would not be able to get a seat, however the staff were very accommodating and were able to find us a table. The staff were very pleasant and were able to accommodate our allergies and food preferences. The food portions were plentiful. Would... More

Went here with a large group. The service and wines were very good but the food was variable. The sticky ribs and T bone steak were very nice but apparently the calamari, pizza and rump steaks were disappointing. More attention to detail is required.

Came here for an early Valentines meal with my boyfriend. The starters were great - bruschetta and garlic bread, no problem. I ordered a tomato / chorizo penne type of dish but it was very basic and I honestly could have made something better at home with more flavour. My boyfriend ordered seafood skewers for £19 which came with no... More

The place accomodated our large group (25) very well, the wines were excellent and the service was pretty good. I had the sticky ribs starter followed by a T bone and they were both very good. However others were not so satisfied with their meals. The calamari, rump steaks and pizza all came in for criticism. I have given it... More

5 for dinner on a Sunday evening to celebrate a godson's birthday. Friendly greeting, drinks at the bar before being shown to one of the 'booth' seats. Extensive menu and excellent wine list. Food was well presented and everyone was delighted with their choice. Recommendations; king prawn to start, Cod with Chorizo for mains along with great Spaghetti Carbonara. Overall... More

Insanely busy! Uncomfortably noisy. Way too many tables cramped in upstairs felt like we were with the people next to us. Very poor food! Couldn't eat some and sent it back. Won't go back.

I have eaten at this restaurant several times and found the staff to be pleasant and helpful with very quick service. Food here is delicious and there is a good variety. The restaurant is very clean with nice decor. I will no doubt visit again soon.

Piccolino brings a true taste of Italy to the heart of Liverpool. Less than five minutes' walk from Moorfields rail station and easily accessible from the Docks, this Italian restaurant offers a wonderful combination of both modern and classic Italian dishes prepared in an open kitchen in full view of diners. Fresh pasta is made daily from scratch in the pasta kitchen and is a charming spectacle for guests to watch. The menu is rustic, simple and delicious, and created using the finest, freshest ingredients.
