Firstly with 4 people behind the counter i waited 20mins to be served. The staff were more interested in making conversation with themselves than making drinks. After sitting down another member of staff who was obviously about to start his shift sat next to me and proceeded to play videos and music from his phone extremely loud. Many people were looking and found it very rude. Once he started work, after his bacon sandwich, he changed into his work t-shirt which was so creased he looked dreadful. For such a lovely cafe, location and food it is a shame for employees to be bringing down the atmosphere and behaving in a very unprofessional manner. I would come again as I love the cafe but the staff should be more customer focused and even if you havent started your shift dont sit in the cafe with music blaring and disturb paying customers. It's upsetting how 1 or 2 staff members can bring down an experience.

We visited here for a late lunch. There wasn't any tables inside but we managed to get one outside although it didn't have a number so made ordering a bit awkward. The seating area outside was not tidy with food and packaging strewn everywhere and the tables and chairs weren't tidy - some tables had no chairs and then there were random chairs dotted about. The menu was limited and it seemed to be all fancy stuff. We only wanted a sandwich anyway so helped ourselves from the sandwich fridge and got a couple of drinks. We ordered a portion of chips which we said about the table having no number so they said they'd put them down for the next table and we'd have to look out for them. The sandwiches were nice, as was the chips but afterwards we looked at the receipt and we'd been charged for a completely different sandwich and a different drink so no idea if we paid the right amount. A bit of a tourist trap I think.

This is a wonderful spot situated in St James Park. A stones throw from Westminster Abbey and Big Ben, The Mall and Buckingham Palace and then Trafalgar Sq. Perfect spot to rest tired tourist feet or if you reside in London stop for a tea or espresso drink before a biz meeting. Besides that I have 3 cons; service is poor with the receiving of drinks, only one barista and one espresso machine so you may possibly get your drinks cold or your friends have finished their drinks before you receive yours. Secondly the sweet treats, cakes, muffins etc are on a table wide open for every Tom, Dick and child to breathe over, touch and stand on top of whilst they wait in the line up to pay or order drinks. Lastly the whole layout design from grabbing a sandwich from the fridges to the sweet treat table to the pay for your goodies area needs rethinking. Otherwise not a bad spot.

Location is fantastic, great park views. We had an excellent meal, food was very good and good ambiance. This would be a 5 star review but we had a major problem with the child’s menu meal. When, after eating the meal, we went to order the £2 ice cream from the child’s menu, we were told it would be £3 because we hadn’t ordered at the time of ordering the child’s meal. This was not indicated on the menu. The staff were intransigent, no apology. In the end we left without either the ice cream or the cakes that we’d planned to buy at that stage. Very unpleasant altercation with the manager who did not compromise or apologise, despite our having already spent £84 in his restaurant. A lovely meal that was somewhat spoilt. Surely the manager should be trusted with some leeway regarding something like this. They lost the sale of both the ice cream and two cakes. And a lot of goodwill. Not impressed with Benugo.

What a disappointment. We were shouted at by the staff, first of all for our table number, which we weren't forewarned about as there were no notices anywhere. Then again for the amount of money required as though we didn't know any english. Clearly the staff were unable to cope with a bit of pressure from the numbers of customers, even though there weren't a huge number, but clearly the staff still couldn't cope without being rude. We waited for nearly half an hour for our Sausages and Mash until a member of staff came to our table and asked if we were waiting for food. The obvious reason for the long wait was that our food had been kept lukewarm for some time without the waitresses knowing where table 75 was even though there was a plan by the servery showing where every table was located. The food was tasty even though it was at best lukewarm. And our 'hot' drinks were rather cold. What a shame the staff have no idea of customer service or good food!!! We won't be returning.

This is a lovely building in a beautiful park and especially delightful on the terrace in the sunshine. Sadly this time our experience was pretty poor. There seemed to be plenty of young staff who were pleasant but our impression was they were not supported by decent management. Our arrival was confusing: there was a queue for buying take away drinks at the counter but for ‘eat in ‘ a large notice saying ‘Please wait to be seated’ Nobody doing this so found a table ourselves, a menu and ordered at the counter. Nothing wrong with that if it is clearly set up that way. We chose to sit on the terrace. We saw no one clearing tables which accumulated rubbish. Orders were brought out but the waiter returned inside empty handed. When pigeons started flapping on the tables and knocking things of it became unpleasant and I alerted the staff. The waiter brought out a box and started clearing the tables quite willingly but there seemed to be no clear plan for keeping things running smoothly. I don’t believe this could be a single bad day. Felt sad that such a potentially lovely restaurant could be run like this. We ordered curried cauliflower with aubergine purée which was actually delicious. But two very small plates cost £28!

Adult meal of fish finger sandwich and chips at £13.95 was smaller than child’s meal! Came out with burnt fish fingers! Sent it back and they re did the sandwich but did not replace chips so they were cold. Would have been better off having child’s fish fingers and chips at half the price. Very disappointed

We come here normally once a week and order two coffees and one croissant because we love the setting. Every week we are overcharged and every week they need to read just the price.at the till even though we tell them not to over charge us. The price varies from £7 something to £8 something to £12 something for the exact same order. We put it down as one of those eccentric habits of the overworked unenthusiastic staff. Oh well! We’ll be back next week for more fun and games!!!

Great setting but very poor value and quality. We called in for an early lunch before it got busy. Caesar salad was one of worst ever, nearly all lettuce, a hint of bacon and cheese in the bottom of the bowl and not brilliant chicken that cost and extra £4. Took over 30 mins to arrive so not quick. Toilets a big let down and hand driers not working. Wouldn’t return.

Super slow service. Alcoholic drinks list not available. It was impossible to hear or understand the lady at the till so I decided to save my money for somewhere else. My mum's latte must have been double because it was bitter and gave her a headache after only a few sips. Won't be back. Food offer all fried and unhealthy stuff .

I went here as it started raining while I was resting in St James's Park, the coffee was great and the toilets were clean. You need to keep your receipt to access the toilets as the pass code is on the receipt. They are disorganised when handing out the coffees and there was a lot of confusion on who was getting what cup.

Always quite busy but a more peaceful spot for a coffee than many in town. Lovely glass windows and a really nice cup of coffee. Cakes and other food looked fresh and tempting.

Really disappointed - despite the menu stating gf options were available was told there was nothing I could eat. Pointed out options I should be able to have and was told that they will not carry out any cross contamination measures and that gf was site specific and they didn’t offer it - even the gf oat muesli I was told was not suitable (then why label it gf???) Felt like the staff couldn’t be bothered rather than couldn’t accommodate - really unhelpful and unapologetic. Gorgeous spot just a shame I couldn’t eat! Was however welcomed and well accommodated at Bill’s a 15 minute walk away.

Went for breakfast during a trip to London. Large slow queue waiting to place order which they got wrong and had to do a refund. Our breakfast sat on the Pass waiting to be brought to our table and in consequence my toast was a soggy mess and cold. Disorganised unhelpful staff. It’s a shame as the position is lovely.

Westminster
If you only had an afternoon to experience London on a grand scale, Westminster would be a wise place to start. The ornate Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey sit adjacent at a corner of Parliament Square, and a short stroll along The Mall leads to Buckingham Palace. Trafalgar Square and Nelson's Column are just up the road as well. As captivating as the architecture is, the wonders of Mother Nature are highlights of the area too. St James's Park (arguably London's loveliest), the expansive Green Park, and pedestrian friendly tree lined paths along the river showcase the exquisite manicure provided by English gardeners. Just beyond the landmarks and the gorgeous outdoor spaces, quiet residential squares and age old local pubs offer a more subdued take on this global seat of power in the heart of London.
