My family and I went here for my husbands birthday and we were pleasantly surprised. The staff at Sadaf was very welcoming, quick, and efficient. We were greeted and served right away. The food was excellent and my husband said it was better than other Persian restaurants in the area. We would definitely recommend the Mixed Sadaf appetizer platter, as... More

Loved it. The kebabs and naan were fantastic. Things to consider...portions are VERY generous and Sadaf doesn't serve alcoholic beverages. We also learned the Biryani is not necessarily an Indian curry (it's also Persian) and they have a great selection.

Located in Bayswater, this restaurant has a great moviment, mostly of the muslim comunity of the neighborhood. Good food, but nothing expectional. The kebabs are all smoked (with taste of smoke, I mean) and the dishes has no sauce. You can choose bread or basmanti rice to eat the kebabs.

We like the chicken skewers, special naan bread with sesame seeds and delightful Turkish tea. Tasty food and good value too.

The kabab was flavoursome and tender. The portion sizes very generous. The surroundings pleasant. Regular locals were dining there which is always a good sign. The staff were very friendly and attentive. The service was fast, efficient and accommodating. The only small downside was that the restaurant was very warm and humid on a freezing cold day.

Excellent Persian restaurant. It's a small restaurant, but the food is very tasty. It has an open fire pit burning and a clay oven where they bake their naans (bread).

The traditional oven for making naan (traditional Persian bread ) at the front of the restaurant can be seen through the glass panel, an attractive sight. Having read TA reviews my wife and I decided to have dinner on a Sunday night. The restaurant was less than half filled with customers as takeout orders were popular. The staff were welcoming... This restaurant is good if you are in a bit of a hurry to go somewhere else. The food is very good and worth your money (portions are quite large). This restaurant is good for tourists visiting, friends for a quick dinner or take away. Would generally recommend it.

The service is nothing special. The waiters need to smile more and be more welcoming to customers. The food is good. I have had better from other authentic Iranian restaurants but it isn't bad as well. Worth a try.

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
