The traditional oven for making naan (traditional Persian bread ) at the front of the restaurant can be seen through the glass panel, an attractive sight. Having read TA reviews my wife and I decided to have dinner on a Sunday night. The restaurant was less than half filled with customers as takeout orders were popular. The staff were welcoming... This restaurant is good if you are in a bit of a hurry to go somewhere else. The food is very good and worth your money (portions are quite large). This restaurant is good for tourists visiting, friends for a quick dinner or take away. Would generally recommend it.

The service is nothing special. The waiters need to smile more and be more welcoming to customers. The food is good. I have had better from other authentic Iranian restaurants but it isn't bad as well. Worth a try.

Had Lunch here today and the food was served quickly (Lamb Kaboudeh). The dish was very tasty and was a very big portion. The fresh naans are also a delight which accompanied the homous starter well. Price was also reasonable at around 10 pounds per head.

The food here is amazing. The portions are big. The lamb biryani is a must have. The lamb is very tender and the rice is very flavoursome. I would say to tell the waiter that you do not want parsley because sometimes it is excessive. The service isn't the best. The waiters tend to speak with each other a lot... More

I have been going to Sadaf for a few years now. It is a good sign that it is always packed, mainly with people from the middle east. The food is amazing and it has a decent price bearing in mind the quality and the quantity of food that you get. I love everything I have tried there. The homemade... More

Excellent portions, the lamb shish kebab, chicken kebab and the koobedah were all succulent and had an excellent flavour to them. The lamb was tender and moist and was flavoured perfectly. The meal was of excellent value and the service was good too. I would definitely visit again in the future.

We ordered one standard Kabab Koobideh and one spicy Kabab Koobideh, as it turned out, both were exactly identical [I had to eat half of my wife's dish, and I felt no difference between the two]. Normally, a Restaurant is serving some freshly made chili sauce and perhaps some yoghurt, here they simply put a bottle of chili sauce on... More

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
