Wonderful ambiance and fantastic Martini's, Manhattans and hors d'oeuvres. Professional service. Definitely an A+ establishment. 2 drink limit. Drinks are to be appreciated, not gulped. Good place to bring a client for a relaxed visit and discussion.

The bar is a wonderfully elegant space tucked away near St. James. While other's may balk at the price of the drinks, which I thought were reasonable, there is also element of pomp and presentation that you will not find anywhere else. The drinks are created tableside, and filled to the brim. There is also no skimping or watering down.... More

Good ambiance , very friendly staff and off course Vodka Martini's served James Bond style under the able guidance of the Bar manager, Alessandro Palazzi. Although I am not a Martini man but the s but i was nice watching Martinis being served with aplomb.

So many lovely bars in London, possibly all patterned after Dukes Bar. Quintessentially English, a place to see and be seen. Table for two, two champagne cocktails, a cosmo, and a Dukes' Classic Martini. All prepared expertly tableside by the waiter with a cart. Lovely touch. Even if you drink only a little, you must come to what must be... More

I have been coming to this bar when in London for the last 20 years. Tonight, for the first time ever my wife was with me and I wanted to show off my "local" Wen we arrived it was quite busy but a table next to the bar had just been vacated. I asked the bartender/server (didn't catch his name)... More

Have visited a few times over the years and has always been consistently brilliant in the service and hospitatility. Many go for the famous martini and they are fabulous but it's the quiet enclave in st James with the drinks trolley in a convivial atmosphere that makes it special.

A regular stop for Ian Fleming while writing James Bond, this is the classy martini capital of the world. Wait staff arrive with the trolley table-side and lovingly prepare each and every drink for you. Expensive but healthy pours and worth the experience!

Being in London, a lover of martini's and a big James Bond fan my wife and I had to, of course, go to Duke's to sample their expertise. And they are truly experts. It's said that Bond's famous martini was created here. I wouldn't be surprised! Duke's is a small intimate space that seats approximately 40 people. The bartender will... More

Staying in St. James's

Neighbourhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
