What a great gastro pub. We were slightly late into London after train delays and although they were just about to close the kitchen they agreed to let us order. The staff were lovely and the food totally delicious!

We really enjoyed the meals here (and the cider...) and had a good selection. Service is friendly and prompt. We had to sit inside because smokers were in the patio area, which looked really nice too. Inside is large and lovely. Near our favorite hotel...St. Paul's, so a good combination in Hammersmith area: good if you are heading to Heathrow in the morning.More
The server was an idiot! The food was outstanding! My £17:50 meal was charged at £19.69 with the “optional” service charge included. I protested and was told by the idiot that he didn’t know how to do refunds. Would I like a packet of crisps...to cover the difference? I now possess a £2.69 packet of crisps!! However the Cumberland Burger was amazingMore
Lovely traditional looking pub. Really friendly staff and food was great. Will return if the area again and would recommend
Food was excellent and not to expensive staff was helpful and attentive place was clean and quite busy all In all I would go again nice pub food
Called in this evening at half seven, and there were a few empty tables. Four people looking dinner having read reviews and noting kitchen advertised as open to half eight. Asked the barmaid if still serving food and was told yes and take an empty...table. Went up to barman and asked for menu to be told the kitchen is not really open! Explained we had just been told it was and he replied ‘well we don’t have a lot left’. Then we asked ‘well what do you have left?’ and the answer was not a list of dishes but the bluntly delivered ‘well it will be a long wait’. Rude and unwelcoming - so we told him ‘tell you what, you clearly don’t want to serve us, thanks for the inhospitable welcome. We are going elsewhere’. Atrocious, rude, and clearly just could not be bothered!More
Bar staff unreasonably refused to serve us this evening beyond 7 p.m. because we had a child, even though pub was empty. We actually went to order food at the bar at 7:30 p.m. and staff hadn’t previously raised any concern that a child was...in the pub half an hour beyond their “curfew.” Again, the pub was pretty much dead, so no reason for a child ban. We’ve been coming here for 10 years and have been in as late as last orders with aforementioned child without any problems. We’ll be looking for a new local from now on.More
We had dinner here on Thanksgiving (yes, we’re American) before going to see a show @ Nells Jazz Bar down the street. We weren’t sure what to expect, having picked this pub based on location. We were pleasantly surprised by the friendly and quick service...and the delicious food. I had a roast chicken with cranberry compote (as close to Thanksgiving as I could get) and my husband had a seafood tangine. We shared a burrata, pomegranate seed, and fig salad. Everything was fresh and nicely presented. There was a friendly vibe and the World Cup game on the television was fun to watch during dinner. I highly recommend this neighborhood pub!More
Just popped in for a roast and was not expecting much , boy what a suprise crispy roast potatoes as the Beef was cooked to perfection pink in the middle and very tender . My husband really enjoyed his roast pork too and they made...him a gluten free gravy ! Clearly the chef knows how to cook . Just remember to salt the crackling !!! Thank you very much we will be back !!!More
Food was amazingly good and great value for money too!! We would have paid a lot more for that at home which really surprised me as it’s London!! A very cosy and welcoming place , well worth a visit if your in the area.
We stumbled across this pub as we looked for somewhere to eat close to the Marriott Residence. It looked cosy from the outside and we checked they were serving food, which they were. We expected ‘standard ‘ pub grub - wow, how wrong we were....I had the mussels and the halibut, and both were outstanding. We live in st ives in Cornwall so we often have good fish, but these two dishes were aiming at the finest I have had for several years. My wife had the steak which was also very good. The owner was really friendly as were the kitchen staff ( they were happy when I stuck my head round the kitchen door to say thanks! So first impression was a bit deceiving - much better than we expected. I hope they rebuild they customer base after the punishing pandemicMore
Stumbled upon this place on a business trip and visited twice. Nice and warm with friendly and attentive staff, plus lovely food on an interesting menu. A real nice vibe about this place and preferred coming here than staying at the hotel bar and restaurant...around the corner. A lovely find.More
Small group of us booked a table for dinner and drinks here and really enjoyed it. Staff were nice and food was really tasty. Pub has a nice decor and ambiance. Would definitely go back again.
I stopped for a mid afternoon snack and also tried a few of their lovely real ales and was glad I did. It's a bit of an oasis of calm (after visiting a show at Olympia). Will defo return again
Very nice ambiance and lovely staff. This is our regular for great food and drink. Brilliant outdoor seating for those lovely summer evenings.
