Food not as consistent as there other pub the atlas. Service inconsistent despite charging you and you have to order at the bar? Sometimes they give you bread some times they don’t? Has the potential to be very good just missing a bit of detail...More

The Cumberland arms is a good homely pub. Friendly service, good food and a variety of drinks. What more could you ask for. Sit outside with a chilled cider and enjoy. We did.

We’ve been three times for Sunday roast and each time was delicious. This place fills up so make a reservation in advance or arrive early and sit at the bar section with open seating you can order the same food items.

Met friends in here on Saturday before going on to the Great British Beer Festival at Olympia. Staff were friendly and only had one drink in here but was nice.

Hi Adam, Thanks for your review. But of course I’m really sorry you didn’t have a great time when you had dinner with us. We remember your visit very well and it’s a shame we didn’t please you as much as the other 19 people in your group (some of whom felt the need to apologise on your behalf for your behaviour). I believe one of your colleagues has reviewed us below to comment on her good time at The Cumberland and even attached a photo. You’ve highlighted one of our members of staff as being condescending and other derogatory terms. I’m afraid I can’t reconcile your view with one of our longest serving members of staff who is recognised many times in person and in tripadvisor reviews as being particular charming and helpful. Clearly, your night didn’t work out for you but we’d be delighted if you would visit us again and we will ensure you are very well looked after. Kind regards, Mark (General Manager)

Found the staff friendly, helpful and polite and the food very good Steaks are sometimes poor in many places but this is not the fault of the restaurant it is just the way it is. Blame the animal. Maybe your reviewer had one... More
