Delicious Sunday roast with all the trimmings: roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, broccoli and huge Yorkshire pudding. The location is lovely and convivial, ideal for groups of friends. I recommend to book it for peak time.

Had a girls' dinner here the other night and we were all bowled over by the size of portions--starters and mains. For me, the fish platter is something I'll dream about for years to come. It was flawless, from presentation to selection of fish to quality of food. I'd have that for my main next time. Everyone enjoyed their dishes... More

We had an enjoyable lunch in this "Made in Chelsea" sort of restaurant. It was very loud but staff moved us to a slightly quieter place. The loos downstairs were not working and the disabled loos had a very wet floor but this was soon cleaned up. Staff were friendly and helpful. Fairly traditional menu but it was possible to... More

We read about this in an old Zagat’s guide in a place where we were staying – it was listed as being good for breakfast. It was okay for breakfast, not great. It’s very English, and I don’t mean that as a complement because English food traditionally isn’t very good. One part of the Full English Breakfast, for example, is... More

Adorable interior and lovely store front look. Food is very much overrated...it was okay, but nothing special. Breakfast eggs served cold while we waited for the "extras" (eg. spinach, bacon, tomatoes and mushrooms) to be brought to the table. Not sure why the place was practically empty.

Went today with a family member and had a great time and fantastic lunch. We ordered the Pork belly, I highly recommend it, very tender, flavourful and perfectly paired with root veggie mash and honey roasted parsnips and a drizzle of gravy. We also shared the triple fried chips which were lovely as well. The place was clean and the... More

We popped in without a booking of my Birthday around 1:30pm. Happy to seat us at a table. The staff were so friendly and very attentive. The restaurant manageress was very chatty with us at the end and made sure I was given a 'Happy Birthday' dessert with a candle. Great touch! The food was GORGEOUS! I had the scallops... More

Eaten here before as it's local-ish, went 7:30pm on Valentine's Day - downstairs was full, so we were seated upstairs which was actually a nice space - wasn't busy so service was good, and the menu choices fine - we had crab cakes and fillet steaks and wine - we liked that we didn't get the "Is everything all right?"... Went to Tom's Kitchen for weekend brunch upon a recommendation from colleagues. Service was very poor - inattentive, forgetful and uninterested. Surprised that even the first coffee was charged over and above the cost of brunch. Shouldn't every breakfast come with a hot beverage of some sort? Additionally disappointing because the first coffees were like warm when served to us.... More

I love the old "gastro pub" thing. All the traditional pub face, but a little more quality and finesse! But quite far frankly, Tom's Place was at bit of a rip off - and the place was packed, so hopefully others didn't feel the same as I did. The service was just OK - wrong wine came, food was "OK",... Staying in Chelsea

Neighbourhood Profile
Chelsea
Wealth courses through The King's Road, Chelsea's upmarket artery of West London life packed with shops, eateries and glitzy nightspots. For people-watching at its best and luxury retail therapy that's largely unrivalled, this area cannot be missed. But if this showy street starts to overwhelm or a moment of price tag shock sends you reeling, a quick detour down pretty much any of many King's Road veins will reveal a quieter side of Chelsea. Here the stately Royal Hospital hosts its world-famous flower show, and the Thames rolls along at a lazy pace, with leafy Battersea Park and its Peace Pagoda beckoning from across the river.
