Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went here for dinner with my daughter who was in London on business. Hasn’t been here before but we’re very to have found it. Super entrecôte steak, cooked perfectly, delicious French onion soup and cassoulet and the most divine creme brulee, served with delicious glass...or two of brouilly. The service was so friendly and welcoming, an especial shout to Guiseppe from Palermo and his Greek colleague from Thessaloniki who were utterly charming. Will def go again.More

Went for a business lunch. Food good, traditional French. Especially delicious chocolate mousse. No interesting zero alcohol drinks, only beer. Very noisy, could hardly hear the conversation.

We pre-ordered and two phone calls were made to ensure my meal was gluten free. The restaurant on the calls confirmed this would be possible. I was then given a place name with GF written on it from the restaurant. I was then served camembert...with gluten bread, I asked for the gluten free, to which they offered gluten biscuits. So I then had to change to scallops as the only GF starter option. I then received the steak and chips and double checked whether the chips are fried separately, I was then told the chips were not fried separately so therefore were not gluten free. Later on I was told the chips were actually gluten free. The waiter was not very happy or welcoming. Would not return to this restaurant.More

A great space. Tropical oasis with panoramic views of the City. Lots of greenery, bird of paradise flowers and orchids. Great cocktails. Efficient and friendly service.

Luc's is situated on the first floor of Leadenhall Market with views across the historic site. It is a perfect restaurant for a first date. Quaint french style brasserie that is reasonably priced in the City. The food menu is limited and whilst it was...tasty, in my opinion, it was under-seasoned. The service whilst friendly was slow. I wouldn't rush back but would recommend for romantics.More

Had booked a table on a reliable website, informed my customer where to meet me for dinner and then get a notification through that the reservation was cancelled as I was on the way to the restaurant. No call to explain why or anything so...customer service doesn’t exist here. Dont book this restaurant online.More

Went back to Luc's for the first time since COVID as a guest of a friend. Having eaten there a lot over the years I have worked in the city, I was looking forward to going back - unfortunately I left rather underwhelmed. I get...that costs have gone up and restaurants have struggled post COVID, but boy have the portions shrunk. My starter (the rosti) was gone in 2 bites and the fishcake I had for my main was a similar experience.......we asked for new potatoes on the side and got 5 very small spuds each (about the size of marbles) in a tiny serving dish - to further detract from the experience, as soon as we were done, the bill arrived and we were asked to leave asap as they needed the table.....great to see the place packed out, but get the portions sizes sorted please !More

We wanted a table for lunch at the last minute (the day before) and online it showed they were full but I phoned them and they said they would try to re-jig the tables to fit us in. The next day they called me to...say they had done that. Thank you so much! We had a memorable meal there. The Cotes du Rhone red is superb.More

Yes, it’s a beautiful place and full of character, a 1940’s post war feel, yet we felt very rushed while there. I did notice that Leadenhall Market was packed with the after-work crowd so this may be the reason they were turning the tables so...quickly. The food was good with me having the Vegan Tagine, a vegetable cous cous with chick peas, corriander and tahini. My friend had the Salmon Fishcake with spinach. The dessert was truly divine, a plateful Profiteroles with vanilla ice cream and hot chocolate sauce. The house wines are excellent. I would go again ...More

Good service. Good food. Good wine. Not mind blowing but very decent. I had the asparagus ham Starter, cod main and creme brûlée (and the Chablis) and left very satisfied. If I had one negative - it can be a bit loud inside at times...but I guess the acoustics come with part of being in such a great locationMore

With such a limited menu you would of thought they couldn’t get it wrong. Think again! I had the cod with prawns. Prawns were over cooked. Cod skin should have been crispy. Samphire was inedible and they forgot the potatoes that came with the meal....My friends had Toulouse sausages with lentils. Sausages were burnt on the outside and undercooked in the middle. Lentils were undercooked. To add to everything it was quite expensive for what it was. Will never return and am amazed that places this are still in business.More
