About
Hello and welcome dear customer. Being a little bit French we sometimes philosophise (usually over a glass or two of good Burgundy) about what makes us tick. Suffice to say that after many a bottle, we’ve come to the conclusion that philosophy is best left to the professionals, leaving us to focus on the food that our customers enjoy. After nearly 30 years of tickling our guests’ taste buds with our much-loved Gallic flavours, we think we have figured out the secret that keeps people coming back for more: A perfectly formed wine list, a seasonally updated menu that somehow always manages to have everyone’s favourite dishes, and a la mode service from a team who function more like a passionate Mediterranean family than co-workers. So, if London life is getting you down, step through our front door and be transported to a bustling corner of Paris. Ours is a place where you can eat, drink and relax a la Francaise as if you were in your own dining room – just without having to do the dishes yourself!

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My first visit here, we'd booked a table for lunch as it's a convenient/central location. Service was good and attentive, even though it was busy. Menu is not overly long but has plenty of choice, wine list is good with a big range. The food came quickly and was very good too - reasonable prices for the city as well. I'll happily go back.

Went back to Luc's for the first time since COVID as a guest of a friend. Having eaten there a lot over the years I have worked in the city, I was looking forward to going back - unfortunately I left rather underwhelmed. I get that costs have gone up and restaurants have struggled post COVID, but boy have the portions shrunk. My starter (the rosti) was gone in 2 bites and the fishcake I had for my main was a similar experience.......we asked for new potatoes on the side and got 5 very small spuds each (about the size of marbles) in a tiny serving dish - to further detract from the experience, as soon as we were done, the bill arrived and we were asked to leave asap as they needed the table.....great to see the place packed out, but get the portions sizes sorted please !

Luc's is situated on the first floor of Leadenhall Market with views across the historic site. It is a perfect restaurant for a first date. Quaint french style brasserie that is reasonably priced in the City. The food menu is limited and whilst it was tasty, in my opinion, it was under-seasoned. The service whilst friendly was slow. I wouldn't rush back but would recommend for romantics.

Beware £1.50 cover charge and 14% service charge will be added to your bill. Food was ok but side dishes way overpriced. Bowl of salad leaves (lettuce) £6.50 3 portions of skinny fries £19.50 a very expensive venue considering the surroundings etc. staff were fine but maybe we would have spent more had the prices not been so gouging. The best way to increase your turnover and profit is by offering great food, service and value. Sadly we felt none of these pity.

We had our work Christmas party here last night, it was absolutely incredible. The food was delicious, service was outstanding. They completely worked around us, and once we were sat down the food service was really prompt and they were always checking in on the whole party and even more so with me as the host. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone, and I can't wait to go back. A big thanks to Mo, Giuseppe, Mac & Cebille for making our night totally unforgettable.

We wanted a table for lunch at the last minute (the day before) and online it showed they were full but I phoned them and they said they would try to re-jig the tables to fit us in. The next day they called me to say they had done that. Thank you so much! We had a memorable meal there. The Cotes du Rhone red is superb.

The atmosphere was really beautiful, all the details were taken care of. You can eat while enjoying a splendid view of Lendenhall market and everything I ordered was really good. However, Giuseppe made the difference: the waiter I was lucky enough to meet, attentive, professional and very kind. He insisted on making me the coffee again because he feared it had gone cold while I had left to use the facilities and he declined my offer to give him more tip stating that his greatest satisfaction was knowing that my experience had been a good one! Thanks Giuseppe!

Lucs is an excellent French Brasserie. Less chaotic than some of the Parisian ones and the menu is short but good. There is a varied choice even if you don’t like steaks which I do but my guest and I decided on the veal for the main course with fries coleslaw and beautiful tomato salad it was excellent. We both had starters of sea bass tartare which were delicious. An excellent and reasonably priced wine list. We had a cote du Rhone which was superb and a shared pudding. The staff were very efficient and charming. I will always go back to Luc’s consistently good and the prices are fair for the City of London

Had booked a table on a reliable website, informed my customer where to meet me for dinner and then get a notification through that the reservation was cancelled as I was on the way to the restaurant. No call to explain why or anything so customer service doesn’t exist here. Dont book this restaurant online.

Dear Sir, We are very sorry for your bad experience at Luc's. We are proud of our levels of customer care and food quality we provide. On the night in question we received a phone call requesting the cancellation of the booking. A really lovely restaurant, with a great atmosphere. Food was delicious, and could not be faulted. The service was excellent, and we were not rushed at all. A perfect evening all round, and I would highly recommend. Please note: there are quite a few stairs up to the restaurant, and the toilets are down and then up some stairs, so it is not suited for anyone with mobility problems.

I visited Luc's Brasserie with a large group for a Christmas dinner/party. The food was excellent and the staff were exceptional. Cibele, Peppe and Kevin were especially attentive. They were incredibly friendly and couldn't have done more for us. I would 100% recommend visiting Luc's brasserie and will definitely be back!

Went for a business lunch. Food good, traditional French. Especially delicious chocolate mousse. No interesting zero alcohol drinks, only beer. Very noisy, could hardly hear the conversation.

City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
