Terrible food! Its not authentic vietnamese food before yes but now the awner is Filipino dont expect the food is great it is really terrible food and very expensive were very disappointed. Looked promising and was fairly busy but if I’m honest it was borderline disgusting. Would not be returning and absolutely do not recommend. I hate to write reviews like this as the staff were lovely. I would avoid!

We’ve been to Saigon Saigon a couple of times in the past year and it has been excellent. The service is impeccable - staff are polite and attentive. The food is flavoursome and fresh. We will return again.

Where do I begin with this…… The food was not at all authentic Vietnamese. I have visited various vietnamese restaurants and believe me, the food served in this place wasn’t ‘the real thing’. The owner was not vietnamese, but in my opinion, appeared to be...of filipino descent. Asked for a jug of water to be served to the children and 3 bottles of water priced at 4.95£ each appears. Wow. Now, the food… the chicken pho soup was brown..? This is a first for me seeing this… dry chicken breast floating in the broth. Even had a couple of bones. Never had this happen before in the other vietnamese restaurants I have been to. A few pieces of sliced onions, mint leaves, beansprouts and chillis were also served on a side plate. Note to chef: where was the coriander? A tofu with mixed vegetables was ordered. There was 3 small pieces of tofu. So much for it being a ‘tofu dish’….? A noodle dish with chicken, prawns and veg ordered . The dish lacked flavour. The prices this place charges is unreasonable. They slapped a ‘gratuity’ on too. It was not discretionary. An absurd amount. This is absolutely wrong. It is ‘optional’ for the customer if they actually want to give it. Not once did a staff member come over to ask if our food was satisfactory, by the way..More

Good family restaurant but the food is not authentic. The chicken noodle soup was cloudy and brown, anyone who like pho knows the chicken noodle should be a clear soup, in this case it was brown and cloudy. The beef pho should have a brown...clear soup base but it was very cloudy. A family member had a tofu and veg noodle bowl, there was only 3 small pieces of tofu. The staff were very helpful when i highlighted the gratuity that was added to my bill that i wasn't aware of. I don't mind giving a tip but when its added without awareness and often you tap and go without checking it seems a bit cheeky. Overall not bad if your exposure to Vietnamese food is minimal.More

Amazing, delicious food, very generous portions and really attentive service. We used to live in Asia and this is up there with some of the best we’ve had since moving back. Really recommend.

Visited Saigon Saigon today after reading good reviews about it online. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful but a few seemed quite tense and stressed. The decor inside is lovely but the food was quite disappointing. Although it did come quickly, the duck...was not spicy and was quite bland and chewy. The chicken was okay but for £11, it was the same size as the starter and I wasn’t a fan of the egg fried rice with chicken either. Wasn’t worth the price of in my opinion.More

The caramelised pork was some of the best food I've ever had. Excellent staff, beer, vibes and decor. Will definitely return.

It was my boyfriends 25th birthday so we decided to come to Saigon Saigon after hearing great things. We made a reservation and were about 15 mins late. They did not have a table for us, which is fair enough as we had just missed...the grace window! That was our bad. We did get seated right by the front door. It wasn’t so bad as was in the summer so that’s fine. However the bad part was the waiting time and the service. We ordered at 8:30pm and did not receive our food until 10pm. No one gave us any update and we even had to ask for more drinks, we weren’t offered. When we expressed our concern at the end of the meal, the waitress did give us free dessert as it was a birthday, but it didn’t really make up for how long we had to wait. It was very understaffed for how busy it was!! My boyfriend enjoyed his main course, but I did not, so had to eat once i got home anyway - but I wouldn’t say the food was bad, only that I expected the texture of the tofu to be different. Id say it would be better on a lunch time or earlier on a weeknight evening.More

Having never tried Vietnamese cuisine we were truly impressed by the quality of the food, the great choice of dishes and the excellent customer service. Portions were plentiful (The Calamari starter was massive!) and beautifully presented. Staff were very helpful too when checking for allergens....Definitely worth a visit!More

Hi would like to thank all the staff especially Trinidad. Nothing was to much for them . Very friendly and caring . There restaurant was very busy but it did not reflect on your service they spent time in checking you were enjoying yourself ....Food was fantastic it was so fresh and plenty of it. We live 90 miles away but we will be booking again and travelling 90 miles just to get there fantastic food and service well worth it.. Thanks to all the staff especially Trinidad.
