Such a nice place to get breakfast, sit down and look at the world outside. Friendly and smiling staff. Delicious food and beverage.

This is not one of their best locations for service. The service here is generally slower and less friendly than their Knightsbridge and Marylebone locations. They don't have a grill here so they can't grill sandwiches, they didn't know what a macaron frappe was even though that was a regular known drink at other locations. All in all this is... More

Whilst we didn't eat here, Paul's provided a surprise birthday cake for me on my 70th birthday. The cake in the fashion of a Black Forest Gateau was very well made and utterly delicious. The cake is very rich, however, and should be eaten in small portions over a long time!!!

Great location and can sit upstairs inside or outside. It was a nice sunny day and some of the tables not shaded. Self service but very slow despite it wasn't very busy. Took ages to make a black coffee. Coffee was not as good as I expected. Some nice sandwiches and cakes the cheese and ham baguette was lovely. Shame... More

Paul is a safe bet if you want very good coffee and delicious fresh pastry. On the day i visited it was busy and full (not a big plave, limited indoor/outdoor seating) and the service though quick and efficient, was not at all friendly.no greeting, the staff person taking the order looked less than happy to serve me. I observed... More

A great place for takeaway, especially for breakfast if you are staying in the neighborhood. The brioche bread is amazing, and is only £3 for a giant loaf. Clearly other people like PAUL too as it was always packed when I arrived in the morning.

These coffee/tea/pastry/sandwiches shops are fantastic! At the one near the Gloucester tube stop, we were treated to friendly and attentive service despite being very busy. Food is fantastic. Great coffee. Charming atmosphere.

Paul is conveniently located across from the Gloucester Road Tube Station. I came in here many mornings for breakfast, and it provided a great start to the day. The coffee is excellent, and there options for sweet and savory breads and pastries. One morning, we even bought a few extra rolls for an on-the-go bite to skip a sit-down lunch.... More

We had fresh pastries most of our morning here along with a few afternoon treats. This was also our spot for wonderful coffees and the most incredible Hot Chocolate of all time.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
