We walked in on a busy Friday evening after looking for dinner near our hotel. Lucky for us, they just had a table without wait. The restaurant was very busy, and for good reason. Not only they have very friendly and attentive wait staff, the food is absolutely delicious. The menu had different types of food, but, of course, we picked form the Turkish dishes (and Turkish beer). Everything we ordered was amazing. Lamb tagine slow cooked to perfection, outstanding Hünkar Beğendi, and everything else was just excellent. We also appreciated the fast service, despite the restaurant being completely full. Overall, great value, amazing food.

This was a visit for a small group of us after a busy business day in London. From the minute we arrived to the minute we left the service was faultless.
When we arrived the restaurant was busy and so we thought the the service may be slow, it wasn't. The longest wait was for us to decide what to eat.
The staff were willing to answer any questions that you may have and even showed you pictures to confirm visually what they were describing.
For starter we picked a number of small plates to share (Octopus, Calamari, Chorizo etc) and for the main course picked our own dishes. Everything came out together, was hot, well presented and I would say just the right portion size. I had the Lamb Tagine and while it was different to what I had had before, it was cooked to perfection and I enjoyed every morsel. Others enjoyed the Spicy Pots of Ground Lamb and Beef, and Fish and the Kabsa.
While most were too full for dessert, thre of us had the Su Muhallebesi, Baklava and a cheesecake.
Overall we left happy, unhurried and satisfied that we'd had good food without breaking our credit card.

Stopped by and made a reservation as the restaurant looked nice (although I had been walking all day and the person taking my booking gave me an "up and down" look as if to check whether I could afford it or not).
Anyway went back at the allotted time and was sat on a nice table amongst other diners already eating. Menu good and easily picked our respective dishes. The neighbouring tables were not too friendly as I assume lots of them are rich locals.
Food very good and staff very attentive. Wine a bit pricey for my liking but then it is Mayfair. A short walk from the Hilton so really handy for us and saved a trudge into the West End for dinner.

The food was very average and I wouldn’t wholeheartedly say it was very fresh.
The water was tepid we had to ask for ice and despite several frantic waiters dashing about, you can only place your order through the manager.
There is a service charge and you get a bland complimentary hummus and bread which was quite liquid and oily.
My friend has the chicken and rice and I had the lamb/beef mince wrap that was drenched in sauce and quite limp salad. The chips were quite disappointing as they build them as being exquisite on the menu!
Would we return, probably not it’s more aimed at the clientele that live locally.

Sadly a one time favourite is now a let down, the service, staff and food itself has really gone down hill form how it used to be.
We ordered a lamb tagine which i swear was boiled there and then. it was tough , chewy , cold in the centre and the sauce its supposed to be cooked in had obviously been prepared and poured over the meat..If the waiter / kitchen had any sense they would have said no lamb tagine available. the black cod was overcooked, half as small which the waiter confirmed and still came out cold..
Will never go back or recommend this place again. its a shame as it used to be a favourite.

We booked to go to this restaurant in Shepherd's Market with friends last night and without exception it turned out to be one of the worst restaurant experiences I have had in a long long time. We sat outside as it was a warm evening and we were expecting a relaxing evening. However we were hurried, the food was not good and tasted like it had been made the night before and re-heated. One of our friends hadn't even finished her first course when they brought out the main course dishes. My partner's Lamb Tagine was so bad she couldn't eat it and when we complained the waiter just smiled! The mussels I had were almost inedible and when the bill arrived my partner insisted that we didnt pay for her lamb dish so they removed it from the bill but the manager acted like the fault lay with us!! I cannot even say the service was that good either.
Suffice to say we will never return!

I have to definitely agree with others about the service. They are all smiles trying to get your custom but once your bums on the seat they just don’t care. Waiters stood outside smoking.
To be fair the food was quite nice, tasty hummus and nice falafel but the bread didn’t taste fresh. This restaurant has a prime position but just give the impression they can’t be bothered.

The worst service ever experienced in over 50 years.While seated one of the staff managers were screaming constantly.When we placed the order we waited more than 15 minutes while other tables arrived after had their food served.When the food arrived 2 were missing items and one was wrong.We asked the waiter 3 times before the missing items arrived by which time we had nearly finished the meal.
When the bill was presented we asked for the service charge (opitional) to be removed as both the service and attention had been poor.The manager/owner was so rude and direct we then said he was going to charge for the complimentary bread!! I lost it.He should not be in the industry and I am escalating the matter to the westminsiter council as he was fooling people I am not a tourist as many where I live here.

We’ve visited this place several times now during our last several visits to London. They are very accommodating, the food always fabulous, and service prompt and friendly. The lamb tangine is one of our absolute favorite all-time dishes. Succulent, fall off the bone, and plentiful. Can’t go wrong with any of the smaller dishes, especially the aubergine. The restaurant is a “little cozy” inside, but if you like authentic Turkish food, seek this place out.

We found this place by a pure accident a few days ago. It was cold London evening. After spending entire day walking around the city we were tired and cold loking for a place to eat. The food was perfect - tasty, wide variaety, and bread - just to die for. Hot turkish tea was just the perfect drink during the cold day and desert finished my meal on a perfect note. Very nice service too. I higly recommended to anyone. Really a nice place to feel welcome and warm and to to eat tasty Turkish food with large portions and reasonable prices.

We have visited Sofra a couple of times in the past and enjoyed lovely meals. This was our first visit for a long time, due to Covid.
It was a family occasion, and we were looked after so well. We arrived at 6.30 on Saturday, the restaurant wasn’t busy yet but there was a nice atmosphere. Service was friendly, attentive and welcoming, and we were given yummy hummus and breads as we decided on menu choices.
All our selections were delicious; can be tricky to please a fussy teenager, elderly lady and veggie ( me), but there were happy faces all round.
Turkish chorizo and lamb grill were popular, and I really enjoyed a highly fragrant tabbouleh followed by moussaka.
It was a lovely evening and we look forward to visiting again next time we’re in London

We chose the new Sofra Steak & meze in Bond Street.
The meze was so tasty with such thoughtful and unique touches. I’d recommend to everybody. Best hummus I had ever had. Such great combinations of nuts and sweet and savoury.

Our larger group showed up without a reservation, and the staff were so accommodating. They gave a great deal of personal attention, personality and amusement. The mixed grill was so flavorful and tender. Highly recommend! Everyone was pleased with their meal. Such a charming area!

I used to work near the shapered Market. Went to the restaurant many times. Came with my 2 year old son and my family . We were told the only table available is the one outside I said there are many tables available and I have a 2 years old child can't sit outside in a chilly night .the guy didn't even try . I was told that's it. Actually I felt that the message is that you are not posh enough to sit inside

Wow! What an amazing dining experience once again!! One of my favorite places in London. Impeccably clean restaurant, covid cautions in place but not intrusive, and I love sitting by the window enjoying some fresh air and this incredible food!! All the waitstaff are very knowledgeable about the dishes and allergy restrictions. Alper the Manager is always just a step away overlooking to make sure you are having the best experience they can provide right down to service sometimes by him as well. He brought us out this delicious freshly baked bread to try. Our food is ALWAYS perfect and the plate presentation is exquisite! Thank you Alper for making our dining experience a memory not to forget! We'll see you again next month, Larry and Desiree.
