I was looking for places to have dinner with my family. Once I was in London we wanted to have a typical British experience at a pub. Searched for the best places around the hotel with trip advisor and found the Blackbird. The food was just regular. The problem was when a asked for my daughter dessert. I clearly asked... More

This place is good if you want a pie! Big range to choose from, not much else to say the food was pretty good and the service was alright.

The Blackbird is just across the road from Earl's Court tube station and is a typical pub that serves food, it is not a pub that serves food and provides somewhere to drink. We have eaten here and called in post theatre trips for a drink. It can be busy, Thursday night was busier than Friday night. Serves a wide... More

A typical London Pub feel and Pub Food. Not a bad selection of wines and beers. Good Vibe.. located directly opposite the Earls Court Tube station.

A surprise visit to The Blackbird left me feeling very happy and very full! Staff were very friendly and efficient and the food was amazing. Of course we ordered pies from the menu, and we were not disappointed. With a nice choice of ciders to wash it down, it left us with a happy experience. We visited at tea time... More

I visited here with my girlfriend over the weekend, a nice atmosphere and while it wasn't overly busy the staff were very attentive and pleasant. We both opted for the pies, mine was the Madras chicken and she had the Steak and Ale... both were brilliant and we would definitely visit again. My only request next time would be a... More

Enjoyed a quick lunch here this week. Enjoyed the salad specials, tasty although salad portion could have been bigger considering the price point. Waitress was pleasant but was not aware of the specials and seemed a little confused. Having just paid her, she then asked us if we had paid as we left!!

The pies were great, both the filling and the crust itself. At first we thought that they were a bit small but we got our stomachs full at the end. The pub is separated from the main eating section but you could still enjoy a pint with your meal.

We had late evening drinks here and enjoyed it a lot, average wine but a good atmosphere and we came back in the morning for breakfast which was very good. The vegetarian full english was a little bland but the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon were gorgeous, be warned the portions are large, you def get your days protein hit!

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
