Excellent experience. But Min Jiang is on a whole other level of Chinese food. Our selection included steamed Har Kow (shrimp dumplings); crab meat dumplings; green vegetable dumplings; and pumpkin dumplings stuffed with mixed seafood. Perfectly steamed, stuffed to the brim with gorgeous flavours. Next...came the dish which Min Jiang is famous for, Legendary Wood-fired Beijing Duck which we pre-ordered 1/2 a duck at least 24 hours before our booking, so you know it’s going to be freshly cooked. There’s also zero waste, as the chef uses every possible bit of duck meat available, served over a series of different dishes ourselves was minced and balled served in small lettuce leaves. Our lovely Chef de Partie worked his knife magic, crispy duck skin. The fatty skin dissolves on your tongue and you’re left with this burst of salty, sugary flavour that’s utterly incredible. We really, like duck pancakes, the Min Jiang duck pancakes are officially the BEST duck pancakes I’ve ever tried. Perfectly tender roast duck, topped with cucumber slices, drizzled with plum sauce and wrapped in wafer-thin steamed pancakes… Expensive? Very but Worth it? Definitely.More

Birthday dinner. Four of us and we started with fried seaweed, Beijing duck rolls and vegetable spring rolls. We continued with the crispy pork belly, kang kung, pork knuckle, gong bao chicken, prawn noodles and egg fried rice. Mongo cream and five spice sponge for...dessert. Of course we had cocktails before all that: sake cosmo, Yuzu twilight and Sichuan Mary. Needless to say that everything was just perfect. The wine list is extensive with good prices and the service couldn’t have been better vMore

This is one of the rare combination where perfect service, perfect food and perfect view come together. You enjoy best Chinese food with the beautiful views of Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. I strongly recommend their signature dish wood oven fried duck. They usually prefer...you to order the duck before the day of your arrival. We ordered half duck for 3 people and felt sorry that we did not order a whole duck. It was so delicious. Almost everything we ordered was perfect and very tasty. I also recommend cherry cheesecake as a desert. I would like to highlight the service which is a perfect example of talent of serving with kindness and efficiency.More

The first thing you note here, is that the view is stunning. It is a lovely setting, overlooking Kensington Gardens and the whole of London as a backdrop. Our table was not ready on arrival, and we were seated at the bar. If I was...slightly critical, I would suggest that no-one taking a drinks order whilst we waited was both a missed opportunity and also a lack of good service. Once seated however, our service was excellent with a very friendly waiter. The food is decent. It is not the best Chinese I have eaten in London (Mandarin Kitchen in Queensway, My Old Place in Shoreditch, Shikumen in Shepherds Bush probably take those honours - with each having a different positive) but it is a good Chinese meal in a lovely setting. The price is a little on the punchy side, for what it is, but that goes with the view. Would I return? Possibly. The view is the only reason for justifying it above other places I enjoy more.More

In the heart of High Street Kensington, there's a delux hotel called The Royal Garden Hotel, where you are welcomed by the beautifully dressed doorman. Then in the lift, go up to the penthouse, (10th floor), you arrive at Min Jisng. This is a chinese...fine dining restaurant, with exquisite views of Kensington Park and views of many iconic landmarks. As for the food ... where do I start? Well, we started with soft shell crab. It's one of my favourites. This was all the things it should be. Perfectly seasoned, crispy, yet still moist on the inside. Added to that was some dim sum to try ... the prawn was big & juicy, the crab amazing too, pumkin with seafood was delicious, and the jade bamboo, a veggie one, touched all my tastebuds. The Venison puffs are unbelievable. Flaky, light, crumbly pastry with an exquisite smooth venison filling. Then, Soup dumplings. Something I've never heard of! I believe it's chicken filled with soup, so be careful and eat over your bowl from your spoon. This is served with a vinegar dip (but i wasn't keen on the vinegar bit). Then, one of their specialities, Wood fired Beijing Duck - hand carved at your table with pancakes, hoi sin sauce, spring onions, cucumber , crushed garlic, pickled radish, and pickled cabbage. Wow!! The duck was incredibly moist with a crispy outer ... divine As if that wasn't enough, we also then had Kung po prawns - large king prawns with cashews spring onion, lemongrass, and chilli ... wow!! Also, Mongolian beef - bit spicey but melt in the mouth delicious and some noodles they mixed up with some of our left over duck and some Choi sum (similar to pak choi) so we at least had a bit of greenery 😆 To sum out, definitely one for a special treat as prices arnt low but worth it for the divine food and views of londonMore
