My partner and I stayed in Mayfair this trip and having really loved Roux at Parliament Square decided to give their restaurant at the Landau a try. The space is dramatic--20 foot ceiling a huge circular room that feels very English-clubby. Food and service were superb. We had the 7 course tasting menu with wine pairings that was superbly done.... More

From the moment we walked inside to the moment we walked out we were treated to an amazing evening. The service, presentation, preparation and not to mention the food. One of the best meals we have had. The tasting menu with wine pairing was beyond exceptional- each wine was thoughtfully paired with each course.

Set Menu with half a bottle of wine represents great value for such good food. My wife had the crispy egg starter and I had the sea-bream ‘ceviche in lime; both of which were excellent. We had Cornish monkfish, salsify, trompette mushroom & beurre noisette mains - apologies for my poor manners to Michel Roux Junior and his staff as... More

What a delightful birthday surprise, lunch at Roux at the Landau! Travelling up from the Midlands for lunch might be considered rather extravagant but it was a truly enjoyable experience. The relatively short train journey, shopping in Oxford street and then fine dining is definitely to be recommended. The set menu was exceptional, the food really delicious and the service... More

Poor set menu. It should be a showcase for your a la carte not an excuse to empty the supply cupboard. Game and foie gras terrine is terrible. Overpowering. Main was actually very good. Dessert was lacking any inspiration for a Michelin star. Bottom line is that a la carte maybe be amazing. However the "filling table" set menu isn't... More

Booked a set price 3 course meal and expecting great food from one of our favourite celebrity chefs. We were not disappointed. From the moment you walk in the staff are super courteous and incredibly helpful. The amuse bouche announce you are in for a treat and you are. I had the onion Velouté to start and my husband had... Dining alone I was made welcome and helped in my menu choice by a number of different staff members. Maybe a tiny bit of criticism is that I think I would've liked one person to look after me so I could build up a rapport with them, but there were too many different staff to do that, probably only because... My partner have been here before. I decided as a treat to splash out for valentines. We had a delicious 5 course menu. The telephone service is great. My partner has a number of food allergies and I spent about 10 minutes discussing these. Nothing was too much trouble. The welcome on arrival is warm although be warned. If you... More

Very welcoming. Room a little dark and had to resort to using phone light, but that is my eyesight! Food very good but not outstanding. I prefer other Roux establishments.

Staying in Marylebone

Neighbourhood Profile
Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience. Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the southern end of Regent's Park and with a number of Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it from Soho and Mayfair, exclusive Regent Street marks its border with Fitzrovia, and cosmopolitan Edgware Road serves as its western edge. Within this enviably situated quarter are an array of outstanding restaurants (from Michelin darlings to down and dirty cheeseburgers), an impressive assortment of independently owned shops, and some of the city's quietest and most pleasant nooks, crannies and cobbled lanes.
