My husband wanted fish and chips, so we thought we’d give this place a try and we weren’t disappointed. The premises were bright and clean with an amazing sculpture of an octopus at the bar. The fish (their core business) was tender and juicy, cooked...to perfection. The chips appeared to be home made and were crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The wine was decent and reasonably priced. Dessert — kindly given to us on the house for some reason — was apple pie; it was more like a cake than a pie but was delicious nonetheless and also appeared to be home made. At the end of the meal we asked for some tea, but the waitress forgot: but for that shortcoming, I would have given an ‘excellent’ rating. Service was otherwise friendly and efficient. Definitely to be recommended if you are in the area.More

Thank you for the great review and we’re glad you enjoyed your meal! We’re sorry you were not brought tea and we will definitely remind the team about this

After reading the reviews I was expecting an amazing meal, nothing particularly bad to say but it was nothing more than an average fish and chips, nothing special, which was disappointing as I had great expectations! The chocolate brownie was tasty as was the salted...caramel ice cream.More

We have been twice since lockdown reopening and both time it was faultless and amazing. The cod portion is quite large but at £9 this is expected. All perfectly cooked to order and the best thing is that there's no horrible aftertaste from rubbish "long...life" hydrogenated trans fats that most chippies use. They must be using the very finest pure veg oil.More

As a group of five we had arrived early for a performance at The Cockpit Theatre nearby, so we were looking for a coffee. The very helpful and friendly young lady (the one in your video clip) said "of course" - "but you might prefer...our restaurant next door", which is where we went. What a delightful place and we were seated beside the huge tropical aquarium. We were made so welcome that we decided to eat there after the show, and what a treat that was. Certainly the finest fish and chips any of us had had, and just wish we lived nearer. The staff and the ambiance were faultless, and they even called us a black cab afterwards for the trip back to Victoria station. Thank you so much - we will certainly return when next in north London.More

This was by far the best fish and chips we have ever had, the kids loved it and wanted more even though they aren’t the biggest lovers of fish and chips so that says something! We sat outside in the sunshine and the service was...excellent! Definitely worth a visit!More

This was my favourite ever fish and chip shop for over 30 years. I can only assume it has changed hands........ we bought 3 cod and chips and travelled by car to Maida Vale where we opened up the take away boxes. I can only...describe the fish as fish in a slimy pancake which was not even possible to pick up with a knife and fork! I immediately called the restaurant as I could not believe what we had been served. Firstly they said that fish and chips does not travel well!...The restaurant promised me someone would call me back 4 hours later and apologised that their fish and chips does not travel! I argued that my friends and I used to take the bus home to Maida Vale and the fish and chips was always great when we got home. The manager then offered me £10 off my next order. Are they kidding? I was served pure disgusting food today and I am supposed to get more food to get £10 off. Completely unacceptable.More

Seashells is an institution in my family that my grandma always used to go to as well as my parents and my in laws. My husband and I love going as well and I absolutely love the new decor here and can’t wait to sit...in the restaurant again once restrictions allow us to. In the meantime I love the take out and the fish and chips are all time favourites!More

Haven’t been for a while due to the obvious restriction in place, but heard they're takeaway is open. We usually sit in the restaurant so wasn't expecting much in the way of service, but the staff in the takeaway were amazing. Plus, felt very safe...as all Covid safety measures were in place. Ordered a Cod for myself and some goujons for the kids. The food was great (to be expected) but I have to say the Panko covered goujons are my new favourite....so crispy mmmm! Dipped in their home-made tartare sauce...just heavenly. Going back next week!!! Well done seashell keep it up, SEA you on the other side ;-)More

Marylebone offers what so many London neighbourhoods
cannot: a village feel coupled with urban convenience.
Much of its success rests in its location. Wedged
between the northeastern corner of Hyde Park and the

Tube stations within easy reach, Marylebone is as
pedestrian friendly as Central London gets. The
bustling shopping mecca of Oxford Street separates it
