Popped in here for a spot of lunch late afternoon after shopping. Real comfort food & a good price too. Had the steak & Angus pie it was delicious. Service quick, food was hot.

We were looking forward to this, but it was a bit of a let down. The staff weren't friendly, the food was just about ok, nothing special and meagre portions. I wouldn't come back to eat in, however the take-away prices are a bit cheap so might be worth considering.

Awesome restaurant. Delicious pies and sausages ( I would reccomend the guinnes sausage, the lamb hotpot pie and the chicken bacon and leak pie). Excellent quality/price rate. It was the two of us and we paid 16 pounds each for 2 pies (all served with mash and gravys of various types, recommended cheesy mash and onion gravy), 1 side, 1... More

Nice cosy place. Very fast and friendly service. Good price for good food! I felt like I'm having lunch at home in my grandma's place. Mashed potato with sausage that I had was very fulfilling and tasty. Some extras like mustard was for free. Definitely will come back.

I was really looking forward to this place for some good traditional English food. Unfortunately it did not meet expectations. I ordered the mince beef pie, bubble and squeak and traditional gravy. Pie dough was not very good and everything was kind of bland. It was not terrible, but it was not very good either. Have had much better meat... More

Came here for valentine's day for a simple, classic meal and left very happy. My second visit here and I was not disappointed. Hearty food, big portions, strong flavours - no complaints from me. Dessert (apple crumble) was a bonus.

My friend wanted to go here as she was craving cheesy mash. I wasn't impressed, the mash wasn't cheesy for me as I expect to see the cheese in the mash as you take a spoonful. I had the cumberland sausages & only ate one as just had a funny smell for me. My friend enjoyed her meal, but I... More

We were 12 minutes late from our reservation time, to be met with "we only keep rabies fir 15 minutes" at that point we very nearly turned around and walked out. I earnestly wish we had, there is a very simple menu so you wold have thought it was easy to get right, sadly thus was not the case the... More

My sister and I found this place online while she was visiting me and we decided to make the trip out for dinner. So glad we did! You'd never believe bangers and mash can be so delicious until you've eaten here! Fully customizable (you pick your type of mash, sausages/pie, and gravy) so there's something for everyone. Flavours were to... More

What a find.. my boy took me here for a quick easy meal (after hitting the Red Lion round the corner - best pub in London). Honestly, best pie and mash in London. Chuck in some garden peas and you are on your way. Each time I go back it delivers. Mother Mash - get down there.

Description
We are a small but very busy restaurant, based in the Carnaby Street restaurant area of Ganton Street accessible by either Oxford Circus or Piccadilly Circus tubes. We can cater for both large and small group and are the perfect location for celebrations or romantic dinners. Our restaurant layout represents a traditional English Pie & Mash shop interior, with wooden booths and marble top tables. The combination of our restaurant design and menu will leave you feeling as English as the Bow Bells. If you are a group of more than 4 people we recommend that you call the restaurant ahead to ensure that we can reserve our large table for you.Additionally, see our listing for our Mother Mash City branch based in the heart of London's Business City area. Staying in Soho

Neighbourhood Profile
Soho
The go-to district for a good time in London, Soho hosts a wealth of world-class theatres and a compelling lineup of cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars, and clubs. At Soho's core is London's original Red Light District and the epicenter of the LGBT scene – and thus the city's hottest nightlife. For shopping enthusiasts, Soho is not only the home of London's greatest concentration of boutique shops, but also the most strategic place to set off on a tour of the world's most celebrated department stores. In the southern part of the neighbourhood lies Chinatown, with its multitude of delicious and affordable restaurants. Closer to the Thames, Chinatown's narrow and teeming lantern-lit lanes spill onto the expansive hub of glitzy Leicester Square.
