Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Eggs..... I have seen some eggs in my time and these are some eggs I wish I hadn't. Although I have never eaten the eggs I have seen a picture of the eggs and they are not eggs I would want in my bacon and egg baguette. Maybe if the eggs were good eggs I would come to your cafe and eat them. My friend likes your eggs.

Just popped in here to get a tea and the girl who served me ( shoulder length dark blond hair ) waiting staff was so miserable to me, absolutely no smile looked really sad to serve and quite rude. 2 other girls were there too and they were just wasting time chatting and laughing loudly and were quite unprofessional! None came to greet me and ask me what I wanted I had to push for it! It seemed they don’t really enjoy this job and are not experienced enough with customer service. Nobody wants to be served buy a miserable rude person! Overall a horrible experience!

Easy place to pick up a snack when in the park. Slightly chaotic, with lycra cyclists flying around everywhere, but you'd expect that on a sunny afternoon in April. Service slightly moody, but you'd also expect that with how many cyclists they have to deal with. Food better than expected, and a good range. Fairly pricey for what it was, but everything is these days.

This place really has a captive audience as it is bang in the middle of Richmond Park. I guess many have low expectations of what to expect and they certainly don't let you down in that respect.. My friend and I used it as a pit stop on a days cycling excursion . A rather surly lady at the till took our order and gave us a strange looking tag that was going to bleep when the order was ready , a bit similar I guess to those on parole from prison. Anyway after a wait of 30 minutes my colleague went up to the surly lady asking when the food might be ready , he was told another 5 minutes with no explanation or apology , clearly this lady does not enjoy her role in this operation. Eventually about 8 minutes later the tag started beeping so i went up to collect the order. This arrived in two polystyrene boxes which is a bit weird as we were sitting inside , clearly washing up isn't a priority. I had Chicken burger in a bun with salad and fries , Chicken burger was very dry and chips still slightly hard from being cooked from frozen . My colleagues experience of the fries was the same and he remarked his haloumi wrap was not at all pleasant. For this extremely poor gastronomic experience I had to pay £34.60 which was daylight robbery for the food we had endured , clearly Dick Turpin is alive and well in Richmond Park. So if the you look at the 3 elements of service , food quality and value for money it fails miserably on all three counts. My advice to any other fellow travelers or cyclists is to avoid this place at all costs , bring a sandwich with you ... oh actually to be fair the can of lemonade I had to get myself from the drinks fridge was ok

Enjoyed visiting the cafe today with friends. Lots of drinks to choose from including iced coffees and a variety of food and snacks are available too. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. And a outdoor food kiosk. A place for dogs with water bowls available too. Plenty of places to put your bike whilst you visit the cafe. There is also a large car park next door. The staff are very welcoming and happy to help. There is also toilets. The cafe is just inside on of the Richmond park gates. Would definitely visit again soon.

We visited the cafe on a Sunday, we ordered at the till two burgers and two chip upgrades. The woman who serve us with the curly hair tied up was incredibly rude. When the food arrived we received only one burger and a plate of chips. We voiced that the order was wrong and the man who served the food just walked off! These people should not be working in hospitality! It’s such a shame, as it’s a lovely little cafe and the food was lovely.

Called in just to get a couple of drinks, two 330ml of coke. I could not believe the price, £2:25 per can. Complete RIP-off. I certainly would not go back. Much better to eat and drink outside the park.

I bought a few coffee for the table and they kicked me out whilst I was eating cause I was eating my own oats. There could have been 100 different ways to say please "next time" refrain from bringing your own food (Even if you still spend money)... they decided to be extremely rude about it and say they will call the police.

A great little cafe, the perfect stop for a day out in Richmond Park. It gets incredibly busy on bank holidays and sunny Sundays but otherwise it is a lovely relaxed place. The food is delicious the staff are lovely.

Don't ruin what could be a lovely day at the park by going here, take a packed lunch! The staff clearly don't want to be there, or care about good/friendly customer service. The chef obviously couldn't care less about the standard of food they are serving. It's a shame as it could be such a great spot for lunch. New management is needed to turn this place around...

Sitting outside and the views are glorious, extensive menu - albeit a bit pricey. Shame the staff are abrupt, rude and quite clearly don’t want to be here. Shan’t be visiting again soon.

A wonderful, popular setting ... and an object lesson in how captive markets lead to execrable service & eye-watering prices. I'd say 'avoid at all costs & go elsewhere' ... but there really is no nearby choice in the Park, & the two other outlets suffer from the same complacency anyway. To offer a little more detail: the ordering system is inefficient, opaque, & unexplained by the staff ... who are far more interested in talking to/bickering with each other, than in serving customers; orders are not fulfilled accurately - "no, I asked for soya", "yes, I ordered an extra shot"; prices are extortionate, even for decent offerings (which these, emphatically, are not); availability of menu items is patchy, at best; & the merest hint that anyone gives a damn is the rarest of rare commodities. I'm going to bring a picnic in future, & until the Royal Parks authorities review this contract (long overdue!), with the customer in mind, I'd invite you to do the same.

Great place to stop in the middle of couple circuits of Richmond Park. Decent coffee and a cake. Can watch all the other cyclists. Plenty places to secure bike. Sit outside but guard your cake from the watchful birds.

I have visited this quirky cafeteria in Richmond park. They have great range of sandwiches panini nice descent hot food menu. But their cakes are DELICIOUS 😋 specially their brownies. I have been served by George, the staff is polite and understanding they will answer on all your questions about the coffee and the food. Simply great service, would recommend and come back for sure.

I went to this cafe after cycling in Richmond Park around 4.15pm (16/09/17). I was hoping to order something from the hot food menu when I was abruptly told that the kitchen was closed. That was fine, however there should have been a sign up somewhere informing customers, instead of waiting until they have queued approach the till. I then had a look to see what selection of sandwiches was available in the open fridge, they had very little choice by this time. The rude man behind the till saw that I was struggling to make a decision (ended up choosing a kids cheese and ham roll). I asked him if that was all they had left, he then continued to repeat that the kitchen was closed. I proceeded to order my coffee and pay. Once I sat down and started sipping my extremely bitter coffee, I noticed that other customers who came on after me had wooden paddles when they sat down- this was confusing as apparently "The kitchen was closed". I turned around to look at the counter to see that staff were replenishing stocks of freshly made sandwiches and paninis which were being warmed up and brought to tables where customers had wooden paddles. Staff are so unhelpful, surely the rude mad behind the counter would have known that they had more stock coming out soon or he could have even checked in the kitchen to see if there was anything available. Would have definitely preferred a hot overpriced panini over a small overpriced children's roll. This place needs some decent completion- it is only busy as there is nothing else around to challenge it.
