I was staying around the corner and looking for a place to watch a world cup game. Plenty of TVs strategically positioned to watch from many seats. I have been to many pubs in England and thus was traditional yet clean and neat.

Very good pub to meet friends. In the heart of the City of London. Could become very busy on Friday evening because it's quite small.

An ok place for a pint. Really busy inside and took a while to get served. Prices average. Packed inside and quite a few standing outside. Really cold so we moved on. Ok to visit on a less busy time.

The classic London city pub, with a traditional feel and good ales on tap. My only request is for a window shelf you can actually rest your pint on.

There really aren't many places like this left in the City, as most have been replaced with trendy wine/cocktail bars or chain pubs/bars (Withers / The D&M etc..). Serves a good selection of beers, staff always friendly.
