Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We were very lucky to visit the outside terrace on one of the sunniest days of the year. Sitting under the shade of the trees with the sound of the water in the fountain in the background with a cold beer or a glass of...rosé, some cheese and charcuterie, it really was like being in the south of France - a lovely quarantine-free getaway!!! Reasonably priced good wine and food, especially the cheese. I really hope that the outdoor terrace becomes permanent after Covid, at least in the spring/summer months. Hope to be back one weekend before the cold weather comes!More

I travel down to London often for afternoon management meetings at HSBC, and usually have to squeeze past the crowds on the move at lunchtime in the Canada Square Mall (folk are often queuing for takeaways). I know exactly where I'm going - to Nicolas...Wine Bar, because it's tucked away from the noise, its layout is simple but elegant (chic), and the staff are equally effortless in the way they handle restaurant-goers. Part of me doesn't want to say this, because I'd rather keep the secret, but too late now...More

I was there with a few colleagues after work. We ordered the day's special which was a generous portion of lentils and sausages with paring wine. The place was busy but we felt looked after as we asked for more stools and more wine. A...true corner of Europe (what I mean is proper service and outstanding food and wines which is so rare in hight street restaurant chains)More

I work above Nicolas and met a friend for lunch who use to live on the 'Wharf and used to come here regularly. Ordered 2 Duck and our order got totally lost. We were chatting so got lost with the time and an hour after...ordering realised that we were still waiting. Turns out our order got lost. Big apology and we only got charged for one of our meals and a discount on the wine. Was a nice meal but my friend was disappointed as she had raved about the place.More

This is a lovely place in the Wharf for a good bottle of wine and cheese and meats. They won't rip you off for the wine and you can chat the night away without feeling pressured to spend money.

The place is great for all wine & cheese lovers. There is plenty of choice for good wine at the shop, and you can have it in the restaurant for a small corkage fee. Lunch menu is great and the food is always delicious. I...have not had dinner there, however the cheese & meats platter goes really well with few glasses of wine after work. Book a table if you are planning to go there during the week.More

This is a hidden gem in Canary Wharf.. under 1 Canada Square. It’s very cosy and at times quite busy so would recommend booking in advance. Staff are friendly and great at recommending nice wines. You can pick from the shelf and they will charge...a small corkage fee. They are always more than happy to let you sample the wines first before purchasing. We usually end up getting a platter of bread, cheese and cold meats. Very reasonably priced!More

Really good Croque Monsieur x2 plus 4 glasses of average Cabernet S. was £66 - the wine used to be listed by the bottle but noticed now listed by glass - didn't realise large glass of wine would be £11.00!!!!

A good place for a drink after work with a small group of friends. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable on the wine list. It can get very busy and so can be hard to get a table / not good for large groups.

Service- good, no complaints at all and they didn't hesitate to put our camembert back in the oven for a bit longer Food- tasty sharing platters, can not comment on the food plates but everyone around me seemed happy enough Drink- wonderful idea that you...can buy your wine in the shop and then drink it in the restaurant part. Overall pleasant experience, a nice break from the office for lunch.More

The place is nice but quite narrow .They offer cheese & cold meats platers as well as traditional french dishes , they also offer a very good selection of affordable wines. We had the confit duck and the pomme de terre savoyardes. The confit duck...was good put the potato dish was really not great , the cream was too liquid , not much cheese , the potatoes were undercooked and it did not have all the ingredient from the traditional savoyarde recipe. We should have stick to the sharing platters.Service was efficient and friendly. The prices are reasonnable.A good option for lunch if you work in the area.More
