I've been here for a sunday brunch with my boyfriend and we immediatly noted that the place is really nice and cozy.
We had scrambled eggs, an avocado toast, a juice, a porridge bowl and two desserts; everything was delicious (especially the triple chocolate muffin), there were so many desserts to choose from and they all looked freshly baked.
I was a bit uncomfortable when the guy serving us repeatedly noted we "ordered a lot of food", but they explained he only meant to warn us since their servings are quite generous, so keep that in mind when you order!
The staff was kind and welcoming, the price was right considering the food's quality and the location.

No wonder this place has a full quota of top reviews - it really is wonderful. Buzzy cafe with plenty of seating, plus super slouchy sofas and chairs at the front and window bar seats to watch Drury Lane go by. The food was magnificent - really. Huge selection and everything fresh and delicious. We enjoyed fresh juices, porridge with blueberries and scrambled eggs with bacon. (When I realised I had forgotten to order the bacon they brought it super quick and at no extra cost). Coffee spot on. Masses of Gluten Free options - my husbands toast was so exceptional we had to double check it was GF!!) Very friendly staff. Highly recommended. We will be back!

My girlfriend and I have wanted to try this place out for a while and it did not disappoint. The service was quick and incredibly friendly and the quality of the food was excellent for the price. I ordered the smashed avocado with bacon and my girlfriend the eggs royale, which is easily the most generous portion size for eggs royale we’ve seen! The coffee was delicious (I think allpress beans) and the atmosphere was perfect for a Saturday brunch and to top it all off the manager was super friendly and helpful! Will happily be returning!

Visited here with my husband for breakfast. Was really looking forward to trying the french toast having seen the place on Instagram after googling best Covent Garden breakfast spots and from reading reviews. Was meant to visit with my mum but due to family bereavement my husband came to London with me instead. We arrived at 9am for our table booking they kindly booked for us, we were seated promptly and our order was taken quickly, we received our latte and hot chocolate within 5 mins 9.07am and our two smoothies within 10 mins. 9.11am, I know these times from posting on my social media the pictures. However that’s when it didn’t go so well, we didn’t actually receive our food until 40 minutes after our smoothies and 45 minutes after our hot drinks. No communication at all and nobody spoke to us until we asked at 9.45am how long our food would be. Had we been told there was a long wait in the beginning, we would have asked for our hot drinks to be left until our food was ready, I don’t feel like it was worth the long wait for what it was, french toast x 2 and a brioche bun with bacon and egg. Was the french toast the best I’ve ever tasted- yes! Was it worth the wait? Not sure on this one. My husband said he didn’t enjoy it very much as was too hungry by the time it came he ate it so quickly -we left within ten mins of finally receiving the food. I did enjoy mine, but was disappointed it wasn’t as great an experience as I hoped it would be. I think the prices are good value considering all produce is so fresh and organic, however, the wait and lack of customer service/communication lets them down for me.

What a lovely experience! We had breakfast here on each day of our three-day break. Great choice of food and AMAZING coffee. This place is a jewel! The cafe is personally run by Ali with help from Tom et al and it really stands out from the crowd. They really go the extra mile and we were made to feel so welcome. Try it - you won't be disappointed. They're doing 'Eat out to help out' this month too so it's even better value Monday to Wednesday. This will be our London breakfast favourite whenever we visit. See you soon guys!

This is the sort of place I love to find. At the end of Drury lane near High Holborn.
A sort of Artisan cafe, wooden floors, tables, irregular chairs. White walls covered in photos and good will messages written on napkins. There is a comfortable stting area at the front with the tables and chairs at the back.
3 staff, 2 front of house 1 in the kitchen. the service was fantastic, The 2 guys serving never stopped moving. Always time to chet with the customers
The food we had was excellent, well cooked and tasty. I had scrambled eggs and my partner beautifully poached eggs in hollandiase with Salmon; highly recommended.
Try to leave room for a cake from the fabulous selection of cakes pastries and donuts. I did and it was well worth it.
The coffeee was excellent and when you are seated at the table a carafe of table water with mint and lemon is produced. Nice touch (it was a very hot day)
I highly recommend a visit if you are in the area and if you are not it's worth a trip to find it

Oh, how many times during lockdown have I dreamed about their chocolate and pumpkin cake!! Drury 188-189 is a regular spot for me and my colleagues to enjoy tea and cake after work; consequently, I made sure it was the first café I visited after lockdown. It didn't disappoint: their food is as delicious as ever and I was greeted like an old friend. Extra points for keeping the space clean and safe according to COVID-19 rules without sacrificing the cosy environment. Their dedicated and super friendly staff deserve a special mention: as cliché as it sounds, they make you feel at home. Highly recommended.

The fresh orange juice was delicious but a little pricey. We both had the avocado toast for breakfast. It was great that they had gluten free bread and provided a good amount of it. Unfortunately it is a little extra to have gluten free but not surprising. For me the avocado was a bit too lemony so you couldn’t taste the avocado so much but the poached egg was perfect and my mum really enjoyed it all.

My friend and I were staying at the Travelodge across the road and saw how busy this place was... now we know why!!
The food, service, atmosphere was just amazing. I had the french toast with bacon and halloumi and it is the best breakfast I have ever ever had!! I couldn’t finish it all as the portion was so generous but if I could of I definitely would of... and more!! My friend had the scrambled eggs on sourdough toast with salmon and she said hers was sooo tasty. As we were leaving we grabbed a coffee and a cookie to go and they were both soooo tasty too, the coffee was so smooth!! We are so so happy we found this gem across the road, we will definitely be returning the next time we come to London! They 10000% deserve to be as busy as they are!

It must be tough running a restaurant in a pandemic, but these guys have it sussed. Delicious breakfast, lovely coffee, relaxed, friendly team, in a cute space on the edge of Covent Garden.
I had eggs florentine with extra bacon. The eggs were perfectly poached ( and not inedibly soaked in vinegar like most places seem to do these days) and the bacon was perfectly crispy.
You have to go here.

Highly recommend brunch here. We had the French toast and eggs Benedict - both were delicious. The French toast was covered is cinnamon sugar and served with yoghurt and jam - not tried this combination before and loved it. Coffee and juices great too. Tables all a good distance from each other in the current COVID climate. Service welcoming and efficient. Will definitely go back next time staying in London!

Visited a couple of weeks ago for breakfast after doing some research on Trip Advisor / Social media. So so glad we did, literally had the breakfast of dreams and coffee to match 😍 everyone was super friendly, food was delicious (and big portion size) - couldn't have asked for more really (well, we did want to try more food but were too full). Took doughnuts away for later in the day as well which was a GREAT decision, even if I do say so myself 😋

Friendly service with a great choice on the brunch menu. I had scrambled eggs with bacon, fresh squeezed orange juice and a cappuccino. It was hearty brunch with quality produce. It's a small place and busy but well worth wait if you have to.

An absolute hidden gem! Amazing food, with homemade cakes and brownies which are to die for! The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. Me and my boyfriend came here every morning for 4 day’s while in London! Breakfast was delicious, we had eggs Benedict, french toast with bacon, fresh croissant’s, sourdough toast with scrambled eggs, granola with fresh fruit and yogurt and we even had cake & brownies to take away! Which were homemade and very tasty. The owner Ali was great. I would recommend going to this place!

I love coming to Drury Holborn, it is a warm, welcoming and cozy cafe.
A real gem in central London which is so overcrowded with so many cafes and restaurants!
The owner Ali is wonderful, so caring and personable and takes care of each and every customer and his team are great and very efficient.
Their homemade brownies are AMAZING well worth every visit!
Their lunches have so many gorgeous salads and making choosing the healthy option actually the option you want to eat!
All very covid safe!
Such a wonderful place to support during these times!
Thank you for always being a safe and welcoming place for me to come and work!
