Katsu chicken & teriyaki salmon was very delicious. Pumpkin croquette was nice and crispy. Tuna tataki had a very nice sauce, I prefer the tuna to be thinner. Rainbow roll wasn’t special, it needed some sauce. Dora-yaki was just two pancakes with custard in between....Good staff. Very fast service.Nice atmosphere. High prices.More
A well known local Japanese katsu resturant service very authentic Japanese dishes. The pork katsudon was delicious but consider the special iberico pork (not served as a don) for a different experience. The sashimi is decent and fresh. Book ahead a table if you are...going at a peak meal time or be prepared to wait.More
Food was good and tasty and good portion sizes. We ordered the beef katsu, the chicken and salmon katsu, gyoza and 2 miso soups. This was very filling for 2 people. They also brought out a complimentary tea after the meal. The atmosphere is cool,...dim lighting, chill music. It’s a popular place, so I recommend booking in advance. However we did get a last minute table by phoning them. Only thing that could be improved is service. It was a little on the slow side. Total was £57 for 2 people without drinksMore
I got a takeout of chicken katsu and Salmon Teriyaki. The portions of chicken katsu and Salmon teriyaki were big and the seasoning was good - not too salty or sweet. Love that there's some salad vegetables (and pickled ginger!) as well, which made this...meal balanced in terms of carbs, protein and fibre. Price was comparatively reasonable. Would highly recommend. I dined in last August and they still maintained a good quality of food this time.More
We had the prawn tempura sushi, wrapped with other fish - salmon, tuna, yellowfin, and crab. It was some of the best sushi I’ve had in years. I also loved the chicken katsu curry. I was less keen on the salmon teriyaki - the fish...was divine but the sauce was a bit sweet. I recommend bringing a jumper as it was pretty chilly in there!More
Booked here based on good reviews and it certainly lived up to all the 5* reviews. The food was delicious, there's plenty of choice on the menu and I would recommend the Mooli as a side and the Katsu curry is the best. It's a...small restaurant so book in advance!More
Had dinner here with friends on a Friday night and the place was buzzing. Delicious food, nice staff and the sake is great too. Wide range of options on the menu and very good value. Highly recommend
Staff were very accomodating even when we didn't have a reservation. Everything on the menu sounded so good. We ordered the chicken karaage, chicken katsu & salmon teriyaki, and a side of pumpkin croquette. Everything was so delicious and arrived quite quickly. Generous portions too...and we left feeling very stuffed. Overall excellent value for money. Would definitely come back!More
We had a pre-theatre dinner early on a Monday and even then half the tables were occupied and there was a nice atmosphere. The restaurant itself is lovely and service was great. Between two we had the edamame and gyozas and a main course each,...everything was absolutely delicious and the generous portions meant we had more than we could eat. The only room for improvement would be to expand the vegan options, on the menu the pumpkin katsu was the only main and no desserts were marked vegan. With more choice I’d return again soon!More
This was easily the best meal I have had in London! Upon arrival to a busy lunchtime, I was shown my seat and given a menu very promptly. Although the toilet in here was spotless, it must be said that the seat I was given...was rather dirty. The menu was spot on. All the crowd pleasing favourites on there at a reasonable price. I ordered a lot of food and ate every bite. The sushi was made to perfection and the katsu curry was to die for. Staff very attentive, no complaints whatsoever. I would say that to enjoy this restaurant optimally, try to go when it isn't too busy. Overall, it really is a must to eat here!More
We visited early on a Wednesday evening having pre-booked. It was very busy. The staff were friendly and attentive. The surroundings were intriguing. Small space, polished concrete walls, tills hidden in cupboards. Small tables, but space between diners. It was lovely. The food was stunning....Between us we had sushi, teriyake and katsu and no complaints, the food felt very honest and authentic. Servings were generous and the cost was lower than expected for the quality, quantity and location. Highly recommend.More
Absolutely stunning food. Small place, but big satisfying plates. They even sell an amazing dressing which I have bought cause I couldn't resist! Wine is a bit expensive for what they give you, but the food and service is just exceptional. The chicken katsu is...just the best - crunchy, juicy. Quite a small place so I would book prior to visiting!More
Went here because of recommendations. It is quite a small venue, and a very average atmosphere. They were first impressions. The service upon arrival was good, and throughout the meal also. The food was delicious and the server helped with a few recommendations. The menu...isn't very extensive but I think would appeal to most people. I would return, and if I lived in the area I would definitely be getting delivery orders from here (if they do them!)More
As good as it gets… Double salmon roll… Chicken Katsu… warm friendly service… Nice wine… Small unassuming atmosphere reminiscent of Tokyo…Just don’t miss it.
