Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

@sircolinpub went into this this pub for a drink with a couple of friends (all retired folks btw) and were appalled to be treat to abuse from the new staff. barman towards the end of the evening where we told literally "you are all timewasters...so f**k off". Horrid Place *** Avoid Avoid Avoid ** especially as I was a customer here for over 40 years prior. If you enjoy your abuse hard core, this is the place for you.More

Dog Friendly pub dead opposite The Kiln Theatre with table service from Meaty Buns next door. Special mention to the lovely Barman Avni, who was serving a chew stick & a bowl of water to a King Charles Spaniel!

A very well welcome from all the staff. A good selection of beers and ciders. One must try the Fruit Salad Cocktail, very delicious with a reminder of school day sweets. This place is well worth a visit.

We enjoyed a music filled Saturday evening, with Guinness & Pizza - booking a table is essential, as the venue fills quite quickly.

I was the only person in here at first on a very warm october afternoon and was served by a very polite and friendly barmaid. Soon after a couple of mates came in who had just moved to the area and were greeted warmly and...friendly and it wasn't long before they decided this was now their local.I still wish i lived in London so I could drink in proper pubs like this one.More

Popular Irish Pub. ***** Guinness; snacks. Friendly Efficient service. Irish folk music. The pub's proximity to the Quex Road Catholic church has made it a favourite of the London Irish community.

Visited whilst on a trip to Lords for cricket. What a wonderful find in Kilburn. Four real ales on offer Thornbridge, New Bristol brewery le soleil , Purity ubu and Bristol beer co. Nova pale ale. All very good quality and we were offered tasters...before purchase . We loved the old fashioned feel of the wooden panelled lounge and perusing the menu decided to eat too . We were not disappointed . My friend had the steak special which was cooked to perfection with chunky home made chips . I had the pork schnitzel which was delicious with new potatoes and a fennel/cucumber salad . My partner had the Irish stew which came with traditional soda bread, again delicious. Very good sized portions which were filling but not overwhelming. Great pub with fabulous food, good beer and genial welcoming staff . Definitately worth a visit.More

We came here on a Friday night looking for traditional music and we weren’t disappointed. Very talented musicians playing trad music, relaxed atmosphere and reasonable drinks. It felt very authentic Irish. Also had friendly staffs who gave us tips on where to go afterwards

Popped in Saturday late afternoon for a beer and bite to eat. Had previously visited one evening when going to cinema opposite. Both times had the burger, one of the best I've ever had and the chips are to die for. Good choice of beers...and wide range of spirits, especially gin. Plan to go back with friends on one of the music nights. Very friendly staff and it has a really good feel about the place.More

The Colin is so good! Has such a homely feel and I love that they have live music on Friday nights. Drinks are also some of the cheapest around which is so rare for a newly refurbished pub! Staff are always really nice too- Tamsin...(I hope that’s her name) is especially great and went that lil extra mile helping us yesterday!More

This Irish pub, with the Scots name is just the ticket for a drink and a good hearty meal. The bar staff was very friendly and helpful. The drinks come quickly and the food was tasty with generous servings. The Irish stew with a pint...of guinness is good value while the pork schnitzel was generous accompanied by baby potatoes, tartare sauce and a cucumber and fennel salad. Drinks include cocktails (the elderflower fizz is very good), spirits and lots of srtisan beers. Prices are very reasonable. Good food, great service and a fine range of drinks. What else could you need.More
