Pros:
Good, efficient service.
Plenty on the menu to choose.
5 min walk from Wimbledon station.
Clean, large interior.
Cons:
Charging £3.50 for a coke and £5.50 for doogh (salty yoghurt - much like Ayran or lassi) is steep.
The mixed grills we ordered were very tasty and meat was juicy and well flavoured. However, a few small appetisers to start with (olives, salad, hummus bread), two mixed grills (between 3 of us) which are served with either rice or chips + salad, a soft drink each, came to just over £100, inc service.
For a ‘local’ it’s expensive, especially when you compare to prices in Central / North London, where I’ve had really good Persian food, beautifully served, and paid a lot less.

Went for late lunch just by chance - they have a great offer of 3 courses for £12.95. Food was delicious! Good service too. And included a soft drink in that price. Great value. We will def come again!

We went as a 4 before the theatre and the staff were very friendly and nice. Persian is my top favourite food so was very excited to try this out for the first time. We were going to order 2 salads but the waiter said they are very big so we just ordered the Fatoush, we also ordered humous. When they arrived the salad was so small, I could've eaten it on my own and it wasn't the best Fatoush I've had. The humous was also quite a small portion so I barely had any of that but it was tasty.
For the mains though the portion sizes were excellent. 3 of us ordered the Bamiye, it was delicious and perfect portion. Another person ordered the Momtaz and that was lovely and a good portion size.
I think the starters let them down or I would've given 5 rather than 4.

Booked a table however that was a complete waste of time. Arrived at the time we were to told to be greeted with a queue outside and the whole restaurant full. Not a single member of staff took the time to let any of the 20+ people waiting outside (who all had reservations) know that there was any sort of delay.
Got bored of waiting after 20 minutes and went elsewhere.
Completely understand that places are busier during August with eat out help out, however don’t take reservations and suggest a different time to what we originally ask for when you can’t cater for that time either.

The restaurant was way too full, tables set less than 50cm from each other. We had to ask 4 times for table water. Food was tasty but cold, couldn’t be bothered to send it back as it was clearly chaotic and staff had no idea what they were doing. Reservations didn’t seem to matter as they weren’t reserving tables. Pretty appalling.

With the greatest respect , this restaurant has been operating a con job so to speak with it’s marketing claim that it is extending Rishi Sunak’s famed eat out to help out scheme to September. In fact I visited this restaurant when it was not using this scheme and I actually paid less.
They use a different menu that forces you to pay at bare minimum of £13.95 (with discount) meaning the so called discount in actuality has no effect. This is unacceptable and somewhat of a Ponzi scheme in my opinion that has utterly tarnished the restaurant’s reputation in my eyes.
Onto the food, the standard and service are decent without being excellent. As the only Persian restaurant in Wimbledon that I am aware of, it may be worth the visit for a humble foodie. However , I certainly won’t be visiting again.

A Saturday well spent!!! From the get go the service was superb with the staff making sure we were seated quickly, attended to with menu’s and our drinks and food arrived fast considering they were quite busy. Now I’m not one to write reviews however with everything going on at the moment I really felt it was important to show appreciation for restaurants and workers who work so hard. One of the waitresses (didn’t catch her name but she had blonde hair) went above and beyond. The staff at Diba were exceptional, checked in on us often and offered us great alcoholic beverages to which of course played a part in a good night. Overall the food was amazing of course , bread was freshly made and it was nice to see the staff were taking the appropriate approach with hygiene and our safety. Recommend 100%!

I had been a few times previously.
We ordered fesanjan for delivery and it literally had two small pieces of chicken and the sauce was watery.
They clearly forgot how to treat customers.
This is a place i shall never order from or visit again.
My advice, avoid.

The food arrived 2 hours late!!! When trying to cancel the order they begged me to wait 5 minutes until the food arrived but at that point I just wanted my money back to order from somewhere else as they have just wasted 2 hours!! They kept me on the phone until the food was delivered and the driver left. In which they then sent the driver back 25 minutes later to pick up the food - which undoubtedly would’ve been served to another customer that night. During these Covid times, that behaviour is frankly absurd! The customer service was appalling and no one would put me through to the manager. They also took accountability for everything but still provided no solution to the problem. I couldn’t believe what happened that night.. never ever again! They don’t care about their customers at all!

We booked a table for 3 for birthday celebration, was very hard to get through on the phone to make the booking but eventually got through.
Order was taken promplty one of the dinner party ordered falafel as starter but was then told they had run out so had to choose something else. Drinks took a while to arrive so we sat and waited. One drink then arrived sprodaically on its own so the other two members of the party were still without drinks, we had also asked for jug of water which must have arrived with the main course.
Food was servered at different times despite the orders being placed together. The main dishes tasted ok but the chargilled dishes on the dry side, I think there was suppose to be a sauce but it was very hard to get the attention of the staff to enquire about sauce as we was basically ignored once the food arrived. Portions were genrous.
Was interested in having desert but the staff seem to either be missing or ignorng us so in the end we gave up and just asked them for the bill. When the bill arrived they had still charged us for the falfael which was out of stock so had to ask them to ammend the bill. waitress didnt seem that concerned about the mistake. We paid the bill and left without any acknowledgement.
The whole dining experience was soulless and unwelcoming and would not go back. Best part of the meal was the nann bread which was freshly made on the oven.

Eaten here a few times recently and really enjoyed the meal and service. They make fresh naan at the front of the restaurant which is a nice touch (and smell).
Each time I tend to order a grilled lamb meal (Ghafghazia) with rice and salad with naan and am stuffed by the end of it.
The staff are good fun too, especially the cheeky blonde waitress.
Will be back again.

Diba Persian Restaurant has a chain of branches all around London, the most popular of which is in Wimbledon, which is rated 4.6 stars out of 1,631 reviews on Google.
The Wimbledon branch is located South of London, a 5-minute walk from the metro station. Despite that, it's quite far and out of the way, unless you live in the area or have another reason to be there.
The restaurant boasts an inviting ambiance, with beautiful decor and Iranian music playing in the background. The waitress I spoke to was fluent in Farsi, which was a pleasant touch. Speed is something that the service could improve on. Waiting to be seated, ordering, asking for the bill, and paying took forever.
I ordered the koobideh, which was served on a big plate. Half of the plate was rice and the other half was salad. The koobideh was long and thick, and there was a big chili and whole grilled tomato too. I wish there was more rice, though, as I found myself rationing the rice during my meal.
Digging into the koobideh, it was obvious it had just been barbecued. The meat smelled nice, was very well-cooked, and was juicy. But it lacked in taste. The flavor wasn’t enough to distinguish it from bland koobideh. The rice and salad were okay, though.
My order of koobideh costs £13.95. Although on the pricier side, it’s still within the average price range of koobideh in London and around the world.
My experience at Diba was generally average. I hope I can come back and have a much better experience in the future.

We ordered via just eats and the food arrived warm and tasty. We were worried it would be dry but it was juicy and tender, the salads were fresh and crispy and the naan was delicious how it mopped up all the juices. I would recommend, great flavours and thanks for the little sweets too! They were a nice surprise

Visited Diba with my husband who is from Iran. Plenty of Iranians in the restaurant as well as locals at lunchtime. Food was impeccable and exactly how it is supposed to be. Moist kebabs, beautiful presentation and the large doogh is for one massive but also the best Doogh I have had. Has herbs just like it should have and is clearly handmade unlike a lot of the shop bought ones. We have visited Iranian restaurants in the East and West Midlands and London and this was the best we have been to by far. Staff are wonderful too!

We ordered 4 items for delivery on the 8 October.
Three were Kebab main meals and the forum was a dessert Baklava.
The Baklava was not delivered.
We tried to contact the restaurant by phone three times. Once we were asked to leave a message. Twice we were told that the messages recording was full.
We also used the contact page on their website telling them what happened and asking for a refund.
We have had no reply thus far. We do not find the lack of response acceptable.
