Visited the Brixton branch earlier this month on a trip to London. We asked for the sharer platter and for them to just pick what was good. The food was amazing! Everything was really good, probably some of the best vegan food I’ve had in...London. Can’t wait to return. Very reasonably priced for London too and generous portions.More

Speedy service, amazingly tasty food and plenty of it. Our platter for 2 actually filled up 4! And the staff are friendly too!

I’ve now given up on this place. Only all round vegan in Brixton (Market) Village so have been three times in a short time span recently. Every time the staff was miserable and rude, the food selection very poor. One time, I was there to...collect two Too Good to Go Magic bags (to take to family staying in hospital) and when the boxes were opened, the food was off and had to be thrown away. Last time I went , once again many items on the menu were not available, so it took me a while to order. I asked some question so that I could work out alternatives and the person was very annoyed and impatient. Once home with the order, I realised the “platter” was smaller than usual in size and that one item was missing. I returned to the shop where I did not get a word back when I explained, let alone an apology, and the bag was handed over to me with dismay. Very low energy, both from the food and the folk, I’ve decided that I will not go back, really not nurturing for the soul or the belly.More

I’m surprised to see so many negative reviews for this place. Been a couple of times and have always had a really good experience. The staff are polite and friendly, the portion size is beyond generous - the platter for two can easily feed five...people - and the food is tasty. It’s one of the best places in Brixton Village and I say that as a non-vegan. Would definitely recommend the plantain and the wheat meat!More

I would not eat at this place again or recommend anyone to eat here. We spent £54 for a platter meal and 2 desserts, when our order arrived to say it was a complete disaster is an understatement one of the desserts was missing, the...plantain was fried beyond oblivion and swimming in oil, the ackee slushy and saturated in oil also. As for the the sweet potato and pumpkin curry they may as well have emptied Cow And Gate baby food into the container as we could not distinguish the potatoes from the pumpkin. The mushrooms tasted sour and off. The fried dumplings were crushed like someone used them as a stress ball, as for the fritters, they were over fried, flavourless and full of oil. Macaroni pie? More like macaroni scrap the bottom of the tray. Everything was mixed in, the grains should be served together, how can you place dishes mixed in together and not separated and call it a platter? The portions were a disgrace. We rang the restaurant to make a complaint and was met with a very rude and incompetent member of staff, we had to repeat our concerns several times before he suggested a refund. When asked for confirmation that we would receive our refund he said he didn't know how to do that, really? He forwarded us to a management who wasn't much help and spoke in a very repetitive montone manner like an automated recording. At present we are still waiting for our refund.More

Half the items on the lunch menu was unavailable like the lentil stew and chickpea curry. Ok Mac but not great food and 2 bottles of ginger beer was nearly £12!

I ate in this place on my Birthday I booked a table. 2nd March. the service was such a low level the young girls working had no experience on how to serve they had run out of so many drinks the rum punch was in...a squashed up old water bottle. The food looked like it was cooked days ago No gravy dry they only had to offer the water from the peas as gravy. I felt that I should support caribbean places as I am Caribbean not doing it again they have no etiquette these places If somewhere says dine in then should you not cater for people in a better way. Who want microwaved food when eating out nothing freshly cooked disgusting. Bad management cutting cost and feeding people slopMore

Amazing food! So many delicious dishes. Nutritious and healthy too. Suitable for alkaline plant-based diets. The staff are always busy, that is the reason for the 1 star reviews.

My first time eating here tonight and had a superb Eden Platter from the Shepherds Bush branch. Lucky enough to meet Andrew, one of the owners. What a thoroughly great and generous guy. Whilst chatting I must have sampled nearly everything on the menu. The...callaloo was delicious as was the ackee, black rice, plantain, lentils, pumpkin stew, plantain, wheat meat ….. Too difficult to choose a favourite! Thoroughly recommend and will definitely be returning.More

I will start by saying that I have frequented this place before and have experienced good service. The food I have eaten has been good but it is very sporadic and not always consistent so customers should be aware of that. However, my most recent...encounter (today) left me flabbergasted. I attended the place with my elderly mother and sister. I asked the rude large set woman if tables were available outside; she failed to look at me and instructed me where I could sit. After looking at the menu, we decided on what we wanted (approx 2:10 pm). I decided to place my order. She was fully aware of my presence yet decided to do her chores and left us standing there for 10 mins. What happened to, ''one moment please, I will be with you in a moment? Just basic customer services that you would expect. When she finally decided to give us her attention, she was abrupt, with no smile. I have never encountered such rudeness. When I asked her about the menu, she told me the advertised meal deal ended at 2 pm. She walked off; I hate to use the terminology 'attitude' as an African Caribbean woman myself; however, this woman had a huge attitude. It was almost as if she felt I was doing her a favour coming to the premises. Staff like her should know that if you are rude to customers, they won't buy from you, and you will be swiftly out of a job, and your business expansions will fail. Of course, I decided to not buy from this company, and neither did my guests as her abrupt tone, and miserable face spoke volumes about the energy that I would receive from eating her food! If you want to purchase meals from someone who is clearly miserable, unhappy with their job and frankly should not be working in a front-facing customer service role, then buy at your leisure. I wanted to support the company. However, I didn't. Instead, I went to another Caribbean restaurant locally and purchased a tasty vegetarian meal with excellent customer service and appreciation for my custom. I have eaten the food here before, and it has gone down in standards. I think arrogance has slipped in, and we all know what happens to companies who don't put their customers first. They simply fall from a once high-esteemed level of grace. Eat Eden, you lost three customers who were once YOUR customers, and another company had now taken them with open arms. Your a disgraceful company Experience occurred on 14th August 2021More

What a disappointment. As a brixton business owner, we have always supported other local businesses but we are now reviewing that decision. We have always supported Eat of Eden for years. After placing an order via Uber Eats with Brixton Eat of Eden, our order...was cancelled over 10mins later due to them not having hardly anything left. We then placed an order with the Clapham Eat of Eden through their website which said delivery was going to be £8.00. We placed the order at 7.01pm, 40 minutes later they called to say they where out of two items. Then another 15 minutes later we called as our food still hadn’t arrived. A total of 4 phone calls and no offer of a refund, free drink or a real apology by the manager left us less than impressed, When asked what do they do when customers aren’t happy, simply stated they would replace the missing items with two other items. This should be the normal process but there was no further offer or explanation by the manager. Our food finally arrived at 8.45pm after the order was placed at 7.01pm which is a 6 minute drive away. Unfortunately due to the poor customer service & quality of food we will not be recommending Eat of Eden to anyone nor visiting ourselves.More
