The food is over priced and very poor customer service from the manager- Chris. He is aggressive, rude and arrogant. Ruined our evening. Won’t be going back.

Sometimes you find a restaurant that you want to be good - no matter what. Angelus fits into that category for me. With its classic interior, beautifully set tables with high quality glasses, cutlery and tablecloths. The attentive staff, their discreet informality welcoming guests to...More

Overpriced. No taste to the ‘fish soup’. Salmon was raw in the middle. Need to get their act together. Sent the salmon back and was still charged 12.5% service charge. Would never go back.

A short walking distance from my hotel at Hilton Paddington. The service was efficient and friendly, the food was superb and price slightly on the higher side.

Dinner for three. Started off well. Simple starters tasty and well presented. Pea soup tasty and excellent Scallops. Main courses average. Lamb shank was dry and tasteless even if well cooked. Bed of mashed potato also insipid. Sole was better. Wine list jumps from 30...More

We went here only because we were staying nearby and they happened to have a table, but we weren’t disappointed. In many ways, it was a trip back to the days when restaurants had interesting décor and fine service: the staff were very attentive (but...More

We had a very good experience at Angelus. The food was great - the Angelus Foie Gras Crème Brûlée entrée was a particular favourite by everyone in our party. The service from Joel (the French waiter from Montpellier) was exceptional. Based upon his recommendations, there...More

We are staying at the Royal Lancaster and wanted to eat after a play. It was after 10 when we arrived. There were only three other diners in the restaurant. Our food and cocktails were excellent with a very reasonable option of a three course...More

A hidden corner of effortless indulgence, the warmth and energy Angelus is renowned for is personified as you cross the threshold, in its fabulous founder Thierry Tomasin. Far more than a stunning interior and mouth-watering cuisine, Angelus has become a beloved secret spot in London. Angelus prides itself on an easy gastronomic menu and contemporary approach to the French classics. Talented Head Chef, Joe Howley has created a menu of elegant but unpretentious food that can be enjoyed at any time for any occasion.Located next door to the Hyde Park Stables and just minutes from the Park itself, Angelus is is open from 10am until 11pm, seven days a week. It is the perfect place to enjoy an atmospheric lunch or dinner, a delicious brunch, or just a relaxing snack or glass of wine after a stroll through one of the most famous parks in London.
