Delicious authentic style tapas and very friendly staff. A fair price and the portion sizes are considerably more than other tapas bars in the area without comprising quality. The decor is also great. A really enjoyable evening, we will be back!
If you're not quite ready for dining out again after "Super Saturday", that's okay as you can still get your Spanish foodie fix with Llerena who are doing collection and delivery. I enjoyed trying out some of their hot and cold dishes. If you can't...pick between all their yummy cured meats and cheeses, try the tabla mixta to get a selection of both. For those that have more adventurous tastes in cheese, give the Torta del Casar a try - you scoop out the soft insides with breadsticks. The cheese is slightly bitter from the wild thistle vegetable rennet - I found I'd eaten most of it whilst trying to pin down how to describe the mixture of flavours. I'm going to have to order another one to try again :)
I also enjoyed the ham and mushroom croquettes, which were creamy and delicately flavoured. The Secreto Iberico was a comforting dish of tender pork and potatoes. I'm also now a fan of the fig delights, which are chocolate coated with a praline centre. Yum yum!More
