Feedback on dining experience

The food and ambiance at the restaurant were satisfactory, providing a calming atmosphere. However, I would like to express some concerns regarding the professionalism of the waitstaff. Regrettably, the attitude of our waiter did not meet the expected standards of professionalism. His behavior exhibited characteristics...that were less than respectful and, at times, bordered on manipulative and cynical. (the waitress was just slightly better) I believe that the overall quality of the dining experience can be significantly improved by addressing and rectifying these issues. One of the best meals out I've ever had

Decided to eat here after seeing the reviews and so glad we did. The food was exceptional, and clearly so much thought and attention to detail has gone into the menu. Lovely atmosphere and they managed to fit us without a reservation in despite being...very busy, Our server Asyak was brilliant - friendly and helpful. Will definitely try to come back here again.More

Inventive, colourful dishes in a calming ambience

I have visited Amber several times and it never disappoints. The menu is very inventive, with colourful dishes pulling in influences and flavours, and always showcasing contrasting textures. On this occasion a photo of their new dish, sea bass crudo in bergamot dressing, appearing on...their Instagram, drew me in, and it was just as wonderful to eat as it is to look at. We shared other plates of crab pierogi in a spiced bisque, very tender hanger steak (you could cut it with a spoon) with chimichurri and baby onions, and a platter of grilled courgette with mint, yoghurt and crunchy dukkah. I love the decor and ambience - pale concrete with blonde wood accents and plants, and the wine list makes for great pairings as well. The team are always friendly and attentive, and I can't wait to visit again - hopefully to try their brunch menu this time!More

Delicious Middle Eastern food

Food is delicious. Lots of different flavours. Burnt aubergine is like babaganoush. Yum! The mango baklava is nice but it's got way too much mascarpone in my opinion. Quite expensive for every day lunch but nice as a treat every now and then. I will...definitely be back for breakfast to try the Shakshuka.More

Hidden London gem

Nearly walked past Amber as it’s so unassuming on the outside but so glad we visited it on recommendation. Wonderful food with interested, unobtrusive but knowledgable service. A great blend of fish, meat and vegetarian/vegan dishes which means every diner will surely find something to...their liking. The atmosphere was warm and bustling but without the annoying loud music that seems to be ubiquitous these days. Not cheap, but certainly not as expensive as an Ottolenghi which this place really reminded me of. Can’t fault it.More

Wonderful Mediterranean/Middle Eastern Food

We were staying nearby and chose this restaurant for a birthday celebration based upon the online reviews....what a good choice! Great ambience and food. Particular stand-outs were the glazed lamb shoulder and mango baklava.

A memorable dinner.

We were attracted by the online menu while looking for a place to eat in the area and were not disappointed! The food (we had the tasting menu) was delicious in flavour and textures, from very tasty cauliflower and courgettes to melt-in-the-mouth lamb. Accompanied by...an excellent Moroccan white wine, and served by a friendly and attentive waiter, this was a meal to remember. Will definitely aim to return.More

Great tastes

Last minute decision to eat here and WOW are we glad we did. Everything we tasted was very good, the highlights being the lamb and the smoked aubergines, we look forward to returning and trying our new favorites and some new. Nice menu choice

This is a great spot for groups of friends who may want different dishes. They had such a good selection of sides, sharing plates, breakfast dishes, brunch, lunch and mains all with delicious flavours.

pricey

we walked in without booking and were quickly seated. I really like the concept which feels like tapas with middle eastern cuisine. The food varied from amazing ( hanger steak) to ok (the smoked potatoes) . I couldn't give higher as one of our dishes...never arrived ( the pide) and it is very expensive for what you get , whilst I didn't mind paying it for the quality dishes £135 for 3 people for a few tapas style dishes and a drink each is very pricey- we called at the convenience store on our way back to the hotel for snacks for dessertMore

An amazing find - highly recommended

Hearty, healthy and tasty meal after completing the London 100 Cycle Rise. Perfect 🥰

The excellent, tasty food was fill of lots of different flavours. It was delicious 😋. The staff were courteous and friendly. We couldn't fault our meal and will certainly be returning.

Best hummus outside of the middle east

Fab place for a delicious breakfast

I don't give many 5* reviews... Fab spot for breakfast. Whether you want a traditional English or something a bit more unusual, this is the place.
