We booked some months ago for a family early evening meal. Everything was ready when we arrived. So problem with some of the party getting stuck in the tube We had a mixed healthy option It was first class with something for everyone. Even the three kids from 3 to 9 could not complain. The staff were excellent and every request was dealt with promptly Considering we had wine beer and a really great meal it was very good value Looking forward to coming back

Delicious meal. Humous and pitta for free to start, then lunchtime special of kisir and falafel, followed by sea bass and meat mousaka. Great value for money. Perfect spot, close to tube and buses in the High Street

The evening started well with a tasty complimentary humus dish to have whilst we pondered our order. After the one starter we chose came, the news was brought that one of the mains was not available so a rethink was required and the replacement choice (called a something 'pot special' I think) was very disappointing with lots of hardly cooked broccoli . Around half of it was left and staff didn't enquire why, which is not good customer service. Altogether a very disappointing evening and we left promptly.

We had a fabulous evening with guests here, it isn’t cheap but it is worth it, the mixed fished platter was lovely and a yummy sauce and the mixed meat platter was Devine and the meat melted in my mouth, the portion were just right, quality rather than quantity but stuffed. Was a lovely evening and vibe inside and thanks to all for fitting us in as there was a big of confusion around our booking due to lack of email clarity on both sides. Well earns 5 stars !

Not many restaurants could provide such an amazing meal for a group of 23 people as Filika did last night. We included 2 vegetarians and 1 vegan... all catered for, no problem. The food was delicious, the portions enormous, the service excellent from their friendly, smiling, helpful staff. This is our second visit as a group, we were impressed the first time and this was even better. I go to Filika regularly myself and love it as a restaurant, to provide the same standard of service and food to a group like ours is impressive. Well done Filika, thank you for a great evening... we will be back...

Went to Filika last week for dinner with friends and was seated upstairs. I can't recommend the food enough - grilled octopus was delicious, as were the scallop and the cod. The service on the other hand was poor. Our waitress brought a mixed appetizer platter to our table, moved around glasses to make space for it in a rough manner and walked away so quickly that we were not able to tell her that we didn't order this. After 2-3 mins, we were able to get her attention, we asked if it was complementary and she hurriedly removed the platter and returned to the screen to check which table ordered it. Turned out to be the table next to us and it was promptly delivered to them. Naturally the Covid risk crossed our minds... After dinner, we waited for nearly half hour and no one came across to ask if we wanted to see the dessert menu or wanted anything else. Quite a bit frustrating as their food is so good but I will reconsider going there because of the lacking service.

I visited midweek with a large group of friends and we had the upstairs to ourselves. (Sorry if we were a bit noisy for the romantic couples downstairs!) The food was lovely, really tasty and with generous portions. The ambience was good, lovely and warm in there with a friendly atmosphere, attractive art work on the walls and subtle lighting. The pricing is very transparent and we had proper itemised receipts for drinks too. Drinks are expensive especially alcoholic ones. There was a very varied set menu, with meat and fish and plenty of vegetarian options too. I appreciated many small thoughtful touches such as drinks menus on the tables when we arrived, jugs af water on the tables, (without having to ask), and fresh cutlery and serviettes with each course. Be aware that the ten per cent service charge for larger groups is charged on separate drinks too, but the service was exemplary, very attentive and observant, and we got a goodbye when we left and the door opened for us, (small thoughtful touches again). Just another be aware of: sadly, the toilets are upstairs, so any less able people just could not come here. This is something the restaurant are looking into. Parking is not great but you can park in Grove Road, and Wanstead Underground Station is across two roads, one-minute walk away. We had quite long gaps between courses, allowing us to talk a lot and for our food to 'go down'. So allow time for this. I would come here again for any special occasion.

Everything about our meal was absolutely fantastic. The service and friendliness from the staff was outstanding and the food was delicious. The chicken was the most tender chicken that I have ever eaten and the staff kindly shared with me a few tips on how they cooked it! We had a delightful complimentary hummus on arrival and some very authentic pistachio Turkish Delights on departure. The bill was incredibly reasonable considering the quality and I will 100% be returning. Thank you.

Six of us (me, my wife and adult daughter, my sister, her husband and their 7 year old daughter) dined here last night. We were shown to a round table upstairs. we were offered complimentary bread (delicious) and humus which was lovely as we perused the menu. Not having been before (and as with all new unfamiliar restaurants) it was difficult to know how large the portions would be and hence what to order. We also wanted to be able to share. We decided to order six dishes - a mixture of cold starters and hot mains, all to arrive at the same time. The food did indeed all come together, was beautifully presented and tasted great; and there was plenty! We finished with three cold desserts - both the tiramisu and sorbet are highly recommended! The bill was reasonable and a 10% service charge was automatically included. The food and service were excellent and I would definitely return next time I am visiting my sister ...

After arriving we had to wait a while to have our order taken which had to be repeated several times because it was not written down. Finally got our starters and my daughters main came with it, which was fine but then when the waitress was clearing up the starters she took away my daughters main even though we asked her to leave it. Then we got offered the dessert menu before our mains had even arrived which were clearly forgotten about. When we mentioned to the waitress that we asked her to leave my daughters main, there was no offer for a new one, considering she had hardly touched it. The waitress also had her face mask around her chin and was getting closer than needed. Food wasn't terrible but Ottos is definitely a lot better.

We visited on a late Sunday afternoon at 5pm. We had an excellent meal, and they we're very accommodating to my wife who is on a diet in tweaking the way her dishes were cooked. I had Grilled Octopus to start, with a main of Chicken Shish. My wife had Lentil Soup with a main of Marinated Grilled Chicken Breast. We were given a complimentary bread basket and portion of Hummus before we even ordered. There was also a very good wine list, which was reasonably priced for a restaurant in London. The staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant had a chilled and relaxed vibe, with music playing softly and couples and families chatting quietly. I would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. It also has very good public transport links.

Visited today for the first time since lockdown . We did have some takeaways from this restaurant in the past couple of months when we were not eating out . All wonderful. Our visit today exceeded our expectations. The owner has decided to extend the Eat out to help out personally . Food wonderful and generous portions . Great professional service . Perfect

The food was nice and the service was faultless.. However for two waters, chicken shish, Mixed grill Shish with a sprig of Broccoli not anyway near big portions, both had Ice cream and one coffee,£64 is steep. Local to there where you can get starters, alcohol, main meal and after a for the same sort of price without compromising on quality or service.

This was our second visit in recent weeks. The arrival of freshly baked warm and fluffy pitta bread with hummus as soon as drinks are served is an immediate delight. We shared a couple of portions of grilled halloumi as a starter - cooked to perfection. All were more than happy with their main courses - a mix of grills, lamb tagine and a spicy hot pot . Portions sizes are more than generous. Wine is reasonably priced and the Turkish is excellent. The highlight of the meal is the Knufeh (Knafeh) dessert that originates from the town of Nablus in northern Palestine and is difficult to find in London and is often disappointing. This one was quite exceptional and worth a journey to sample.
